We had a wonderful stay. The location is close enough to the city if you'd like to do that, but super peaceful to return to throughout your trip. The large windows and patios overlooking the ocean were a highlight, as well as the spacious interior. We were a group of six, and each couple had their own room and bathroom. We would love to stay again in the future.

The house is perfectly located for easy access to the beach. It is nicely furnished and very well-kept. Richard is an excellent host. Something to be aware of is that the house is located at a very busy corner, with lots of traffic, so if you have youngsters or mobility challenged people in your party, extra caution will be needed when walking or biking in the area. Despite the traffic, we had a lovely time in a beautiful house.

Great location the home was spacious, with all the proper amenities, to relax, steps to the beach, cook a great breakfast while looking at the ocean waves and very quiet. As a family of 4, we came out for a wedding in Los Altos, and did some sightseeing for 6 days, the beaches, redwoods, wineries in Napa and San Francisco. Great house, super clean large bedrooms with large bathrooms in each. Route 1 just 50 yards away so it was an easy drive to all locations. Would recommend 100%.

What a great place to stay! The property was accurately described in the VRBO listing and the host, Richard was very helpful as needed. The San Mateo coast is so underrated.

Delightful Spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Montara. It was close enough to Half Moon Bay for shopping and restaurants, and even closer to the beautiful beach. The home was immaculate and was well equipped with toaster, blender, etc. We had a great time.

This is a fantastic property! Nice kitchen open to the living area with fantastic ocean views! Everything was in perfect order and the host is fantastic! Great communications and very accommodating throughout. Don't hesitate to rent this one!

Beautiful beach house.

Love the view. location is fantastic. With hiking trails behind you and the beach in front of you if you like nature and a beautiful comfortable home, this is the place with bathrooms in all the bedrooms with an extra half bath upstairs. Excellent for three couples. Hope to be back sooner than later.

Bay Area trip

Great house with everything we needed included, in quiet area with really nice view of ocean, beach is just a short walk across street. Short drive from many restaurants and easy access to drive to SF or bay areas. The owner was very responsive. I'd recommend it for family or friend trips

Our family agrees on one thing: total relaxation when you're watching the waves from the comfort of the house.
