Spacious apartment in typical Andalucian style in an elegant building in the centre of this traditional village. A warm, welcoming lounge/dining room leads onto an attractive balcony with beach & sea views where you can enjoy al fresco dining or sip a cool drink. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, oven & ceramic hob, & adjacent utility/laundry area with washing machine & drying facilities. Bathroom 1 has toilet, full-size bath with shower screen, wash basin & bidet. Bathroom 2 has toilet, walk-in shower with sliding doors & wash basin. Spacious, indeed! There were only two of us but the apartment could have accommodated many more. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, cozy living room. Responsive hosts, including local agency.

The view was beautiful. There were more like 3 parks, none exactly across the street but all within 3 blocks. By the end of our week, our 10 and 6 year old felt comfortable navigating there. The weather was gorgeous at the beginning of June and my 6y/o preferred to sleep on the porch. We hiked/walked to a lookout tower and rented kayak and paddle board to go to some underwater caves. We also enjoyed the beach across the road from the apartment, which was decked out with all kinds of useful beach going necessities with kids. We cooked quite a bit and bought all necessities up the hill at supermercado Dia. Overall a perfect place and wonderful trip for our family of four.

Wonderful apartment

An excellent vacation stay for the month of January, we loved the apartment. It was very clean, well equipped and in a great location. The owners provided helpful notes for the apartment and the local area. The roof top views were spectacular. We would recommend staying here.

Very nice

Great location on top floor, very moderate price, not the quietest due to traffic and people but it didn't bother us. Not a brand new apartment but everything worked fine. Would come again.

The flat was cold but okay

The flat was okay. The kitchen could use som uptodate. There was no dishwasher, which would be very useful and no soap for washing up. When we arrived it was terribly cold in the flat and it took us three days to get it to an acceptable temperature although there was 17 degrees outside. It helped in the living room when we found a portable heater. The bathrooms and the sleeping rooms were fine. 15 hours before we left a bunch of fuses fell out so there was a lot of things that could not be used such as tv, toaster refrigerator, deepfreezer, and so on.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay; it is useful for us to be able to improve, where necessary. As buildings in Spain are constructed to stay cool, we ensured that air conditioning units were installed in all three bedrooms and the lounge/diner. These units supply cool air/warm air as and when required. In addition, there are two portable heaters in the apartment. With regards to a dishwasher, a comprehensive list of appliances, in the apartment, is on the website. There is a large clear circuit board box in the hall by the door of the apartment. A tripped circuit is easily rectified by ‘flipping’ the switch that is down to up; this restores power immediately to all electrical items in use. I can understand if this system is not what you are used to, and we will make sure that we highlight these instructions in our ‘Welcome’ folder. In the folder is the name and telephone number of our excellent agents (De la Cuesta) in case of any problems; their office address is also recorded. The office is a 5-minute walk from the apartment. I do hope the warm weather and the central location of the apartment helped both of you to enjoy your week in ‘magical’ La Herradura. Regards Dorothy

Recomendable

Bien situado, céntrico y a la vez a muy pocos metros de la playa, sólo destacar que se estropeó el ascensor 3 días antes de marcharnos siendo una tercera planta y la inmobiliaria iba a contactar con el administrador pero al final llegó el día de marcharnos y no estaba solucionado, es una tercera planta y no tenían llave de la puerta que comunica la puerta de la planta baja del edificio con el aparcamiento y la puerta de acceso al edifico es en distinta calle que la puerta de acceso al garaje por lo que resultó bastante incómodo trasladar maletas y demás hasta el coche ya que la zona no tiene aparcamiento en la calle, es la calle de salida del pueblo de un solo carril y única dirección. Tampoco tiene secadora aunque en el anuncio lo pone. En esas fechas la inmobiliaria cierra por las tardes y los fines no se puede comunicar por teléfono o presencial ninguna incidencia, hay que tenerlo en cuenta. Pero es RECOMENDABLE son problemas puntuales supongo. Los dueños súper atentos, contestan rápidamente al correo de contacto.

Unfortunately, there were issues with the lift because of electricity supply problems. Our agents found out that the President of the community of owners had decided to change electricity supplier for the common areas (including the lift). The old supplier disconnected electricity before the new one was ready to connect. This happened over a weekend in August. We have owned the apartment since 2006 and this is the first time this has occurred. We regret the inconvenience but you will understand the circumstances were beyond our control. Our ad includes 'drying facilities' but not a tumble dryer. There are three washing lines, one runs along outside the utility/kitchen window, one on the balcony and another on the rooftop ... and over three hundred days of sunshine per year so no need for a tumble dryer! 😎 Like many similar local businesses, our agents' office does not open in the afternoon in summer but we will discuss with them to include an emergency contact number in our 'Welcome' folder. We are pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your recommendation. Desafortunadamente, hubo problemas con el ascensor debido a problemas de suministro de electricidad. Nuestros agentes se enteraron de que el presidente de la comunidad de propietarios había decidido cambiar de proveedor de electricidad para las zonas comunes (incluido el ascensor). Det var mycket bra kommunikation från värden. Uppskattade särskilt tydlig information om hur vi bäst hittar dit samt mycket bra information i lägenheten om såväl lägenheten som närområdet. Lägenheten var ren, leverade det som var sagt och mycket bra läge nära stranden, matbutiker och restauranger. Ett stort plus att man ser havet från balkongen samt att det är dagssol - perfekt för de dagar man äter lunch hemma!Vi lagade en del mat själva samt använde tvättmaskinen. Allt fungerade som det skulle!

Fantastisch gelegene schöne Wohnung, unmittelbar am Strand, nette Lokale und Geschäfte in direkter Nähe, 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder mit WC und Dusche, Balkon mit Meerblick, gut ausgestattete Küche (wenn auch ohne Spülmaschine), geräumiges Wohnzimmer, gute, verbindliche Kommunikation. Muchos Gracias!
