The communication was great! This was my first time doing this type of booking and I was a little nervous about maybe having a problem and not being able to communicate. Tracy gave us good suggestions on things to visit in the area, too, which was very helpful. Great hosts and a fun stay in a cabin, plus many things to do in this area.

Tracy and Dale are the nicest of hosts. We’ve stayed at Wilderness cabins several times now and it’s always a pleasure to drop our gear there and then explore the Bitterroot.

This is my second stay here… and again did not disappoint. Had everything I needed and, again, the hosts were so attentive to my needs and just so welcoming and considerate. Hosts, cabin and the view made it a most pleasant stay. Thank you- again!!!

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our stay in the Wolf Den. Tracy and Dale welcomed us into their home and shared great recommendations for places to check out. The cabin itself has everything you need plus games and DVDs. The property is gorgeous with stunning views. Close to town yet far enough away that it's quiet and relaxing. We would recommend staying here to all of our friends! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Peaceful and close to everything!

We were her to participate in the Bitterroot Celtic Games and Gathering for our very first time and were thrilled to find this cute little cabin that was just exactly what we needed for our family of 3 +2 dogs. It was just as it shows in the pictures and we were very happy with not only how quiet it was but we were close to Daly Mansion for our event but also just minutes from town. The hosts were very sweet and honestly this was our first experience with Vrbo and it was excellent!

Quintessential Quarters

Wolf Den is the smallest of the cabins at Wilderness Spirit Cabins but fulfilled our needs quite well. The hosts are great and the views are amazing. Wonderful deck with glasses provided for wine made for some remarkable star gazing nights! We stayed for two weeks and didn't want to leave. If we ever get the chance to go back, we'll be calling on Tracy and Dale to host us again!

Eneded up in other property

Cold snap had froze pipes in wolf den stayed in bear club house. Little more rustic but bigger. This is the scond time we have stayed here. Very nice. Preferred the wolf den.

Too much of everything, pillows, furniture, nice closest full of owners personal storage of broken heaters, air conditioner, etc.

Sorry you were not pleased with our cabin. But just to clarify, the heater in the closet is not broken but for the guest’s use if they feel they need extra heat. Yes, we have electric heat in the cabin but it is Montana and some people aren’t used to the cold we get. And the air conditioner is the one that is also used in the cabin in the summer. It’s not broken. And it’s stored out of the way in the back of the closet. I’m curious as which furniture is not needed. We try to supply what guests would need such as the couch, dining table, small dresser for their clothes and a bed. Plus the refrigerator and small kitchen appliances. It’s pretty much the same any hotel room supplies except more of a kitchen area. It is hard to know exactly what each individual guest would want or need, some would want more, some less. So we try to do a happy medium. Sorry if we supplied too much for you since you were only here one night. We do want our guests happy and to enjoy our cabin.

Great view of the mountains

We loved the fantastic view of the mountains from the cabin. We loved being in the country, with the farm fields, sheep and cows and sitting outside at sunset. The cabin was much smaller than we expected and was a little cramped to say the least. The cabin was close enough to town, so we could pop in for groceries or restaurant. The owners were available to answer any questions. The cabin does not have an oven or kitchen sink, so we had to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink.

We are so sorry you considered our cabin too small for your needs. We try very hard to show through our pics the size of the cabin and we show the mini kitchen and what it consists of. We also state it in the description so people can see before they book to make sure it fits their needs. We do have two other cabins that are bigger with larger kitchens although they are vacation cabins so kitchens aren’t as big as a house kitchen would be. Thank you for your review.

Disappointed

I knew I was booking a rustic cabin but did not pay enough attention to the lack of a kitchen sink & how tiny & sadly appointed the kitchen was… two burner cooktop looked to be a fire hazard. Did not risk using it. Tiny little counter area did not lend itself to cooking but no kitchen sink & bathroom sink was it for cleaning/washing any dishes/coffee pot etc The cabin is very tiny & was cluttered (my opinion) was too many fake flowers, pillows, blanket on floor used as a rug (very slippery)… But again it was a rustic cabin… Owner called me shortly after I departed & said key was missing from table… Advised key was there when I left & heard nothing more. Was very quiet (rooster next door however) & views were great… did not use fire pit… wood was wet.

Just as advertised. A quaint rustic, relaxing cabin. Very pet friendly. We did not have pets, but enjoyed meeting others from the other nearby cabins. Tracy and Dale are so welcoming. They had everything we needed for our stay and more! My husband had a very successful fishing trip on the Bitterroot River, so we hope to be back in a year or two. We won't hesitate to book with Tracy and Dale again.

The cabin is very clean. It is small, but big enough for three people. We had our adult daughter stay with us as we were there for the 50 mile yard sale event. They have a little kitchenette with a air fryer, microwave and a hot plate and a griddle. No kitchen sink. Not a big deal. You just have to wash them in the bathroom or the shower. They do have salt and pepper and dish soap that kind of stuff. It's pretty well stocked for being such a cute kitchenette. They have our fire pit. However, we didn't use it because it was raining. Full size refrigerator which is very nice. We were exhausted from doing the yard sale all day long so we just went in and went to bed but it was very quiet and peaceful. There is a small TV and they had plenty of games to play if we wanted something . The only downside is the sleeper sofa is very uncomfortable .The host was very kind. We were able to take our labradoodle with us and they have a closed in area where she could run around and we didn't have to worry about her running out onto the street. It's off the beaten path so it's very peaceful and quiet and beautiful. Enjoy. We will be back.

Great Place to Enjoy Montana

The cabin was perfect Honeymoon spot. Cozy place for two. The hosts were as friendly as you could ask for. Check out her artwork! Perfect location to enjoy the nearby towns and also capture the great Montana outdoors. We will return!!

Great little stay

Tracy and Dale are very nice hosts, great to visit with. Their dog, Diego, is a sweetheart and loves people! The Wolf’s Den is cozy, clean and quiet, and with everything that one needs for a short stay. We had dinner in town (5 minutes away) at Bitterroot Brewing, which served excellent food and beer. I highly recommend that as well. Sadly, due to the Moose fire to the south, there was too much smoke to enjoy the evening views (absolutely NO fault of the hosts), but the little front porch would have been a great spot to enjoy the evening.

Great stay!

The wolf den is a cozy, clean cabin that was just the right size for my fiancé, 2 pups and me. There was enough kitchen equipment for us to easily make dinner. The bathroom was clean. It was just what we needed for our stay in between our camping trips. The full size refrigerator with freezer was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend!!!
