We had a wonderful stay with (4) adult kids and 23-month-old grandchild, so 7 of us all together. Initially, we had chosen this home over one on Lake Michigan due to the pontoon rental option. We were notified that the pontoon was no longer available but decided at that point to keep the reservation. The interior was large and clean, and we enjoyed flat yard and dock very much -- especially the paddleboards and kayaks. There were some toys in the garage that entertained our toddler as well. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The option to walk to Hoppies Tavern was awesome and we took advantage of that. A few items would make it even better (highchair, pack N play, and a SOLID curtain over the main bedroom glass door - LOL) It was an easy daytrip to Mackinac Island, which we loved. A trip to Petoskey also provided a day of enjoyment. Overall, I would recommend as long as you were okay being a little drive from town.

We had a wonderful week on Burt Lake for a family reunion of eight adults. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and a perfect place for all of us to spend time together. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful from Day 1.Some of our favorite moments were also the simplest—floating on rafts off the dock, sitting around the fire pit at night with family, and just relaxing and enjoying the lake. There is also plenty to do in the area. We rented a pontoon boat for a day, spent a day on Mackinac Island, visited Petoskey, and enjoyed a great dinner at Hoppies, which is just a very short walk from the house.The perfect ending to a terrific week came on the morning we left, when a bald eagle glided along the shoreline behind the house at what seemed like eye level. It was one of those moments we'll remember for a long time.The only negative? The week went by much too fast.We would absolutely stay here again.

My family had a great time staying at this property. Matt and Jenna’s home is beautiful, clean, and large enough to accommodate all 10 of us comfortably. The location right on Burt Lake can’t be beat. We enjoyed the pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boards and bikes, as well as the fire pit at night. This is a wonderful spot for an up north vacation!

We had a wonderful week and enjoyed the home and boat. Weather was perfect for boating, swimming and outdoor activities. Spent a day at nearby Petoskey and also a trip to Mackinac Island. The house was great for our large family of 8 adults and 2 small children. Loved the large kitchen and dining table for family meals. Beautiful sunsets every night too!

Great space

Great space. Weather was not good when we were there but there was plenty of space to have fun inside and close to Mackinac for a day trip.

Perfect Summer Vacation

This house is great! Very clean and adequately stocked. It is spacious and set up perfectly for multiple families. My family enjoyed the pontoon, the kayaks, paddle boards and relaxing outside on the patio.

Great for multiple families or couples

Beautiful, spacious cabin. It had everything we needed for a fun New Year’s Eve celebration. The many bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and private and was perfect for four families with kids. We would love to stay again during the summer so we could enjoy the lake.

Overall excellent accommodations. There were eight adults and one two year old and no one ever felt crowded. Great fully stocked kitchen which is the most spacious we have ever seen. Great place to kick back and relax or take day trips to Mackinac or Petoskey. A definite repeat location!

Enjoyable Property

This property is well situated for a large gathering. Large kitchen, large dining room table, large couch, and multiple mattress types ensure every member of your party will likely sleep on a mattress that suits them best. The lake is beautiful, the property is quiet, and the location is optimal for exploring northern Michigan. We enjoyed our week long vacation very much.

Beautiful, well equipped and clean home - perfect for families!

This home is just perfect for families. It's spacious, beautifully appointed and has lots of supplies available (extra water shoes, 3 person water raft, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.). It was exceptionally clean. We rented the pontoon which was so much fun! We all highly recommend!

A true gem in northern Michigan

We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was well stocked and ready to enjoy. It is comfortable and lovely. The boat is an amazing xtra that we would highly recommend. It is such a fun area with so much to do and the boating options are endless. Our week flew by! Our favorite Vrbo by far.

Great Time - Beautiful Location

This is a great place to stay! Our family had a wonderful time. It had plenty of room to accommodate our family and during meal times we could all be together. The only thing we missed was the dock still being in the water though I understand it is about to winter! I would definitely stay here again. Both the arrival and departure were extremely easy. Thank you so much for letting us rent your house!! It is a great family place!
