This vacation home is well-appointed, spacious, conveniently located . . . a home away from home at the gateway to the Canadian Rockies. This 1800 sq ft, two-bedroom-plus-a-den (sleeps up to 6, but very comfortable for 4 guests), on 2 levels, a unique penthouse in a private wing at the Grande Rockies Resort. It has commanding mountain views including that from a large, private, rooftop deck complete with an exclusive hot tub. Enjoy heated underground parking. This upscale condo includes all that you will need, to feel like you are a valued guest. The resort includes guest amenities – an indoor swimming pool, water slide, indoor/outdoor hot tub, a children’s water pool, a fitness room, landscaped grounds, inviting lounge and the Grande Kitchen & Bar, which offers gourmet fare in a lively, relaxed atmosphere. Walking distance to groceries, shopping, restaurants and town centre.
The Town of Canmore affords easy access to recreation opportunities in the Smith-Dorrien Valley, Banff National Park, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, the Bow Valley Wildlands and the Elbow-Sheep Wildlands. Within Canmore, easy family activities include biking or hiking along the Bow River and on the 70km of maintained trails inside the town boundaries – picnicking in any one of the many town parks (at least 10), including a bathing beach at Quarry Park – checking out Canmore’s new indoor playground, Elevation Place - browsing through the town’s myriad of fine shops and galleries. A little more effort will take you on a hike to Grassi Lakes (return 3.5km) or biking on the Canmore Nordic Centre trails. Alpine enthusiasts may want to hike/climb Ha Ling Peak , Mount Lady Macdonald or Heart Mountain. For a true western adventure, ride horseback through the Rockies, at Cross Zee Ranch, just 5 minutes drive from the resort. Winter activities abound at the Canmore Nordic Centre and in nearby Banff National Park and Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. Choose your adventure – dog sledding, snowshoeing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice climbing or ice walking. Enjoy dining diversity. This town of 12,000 residents, has over 100 restaurants, pubs and bistros. Five excellent golf courses are nearby and four world class ski-resorts are 20-50 minutes away.

From booking to checking out, this place was fantastic. Excellent communication with the host; we were provided with all the necessary information prior to the trip. The property was clean, well-stocked with everything needed from the kitchen to the washer/dryer, and the location was great. The unit was so spacious and genuinely felt like your home away from home. Canmore/Banff was a bucket list trip, and this place helped make it an enjoyable and memorable experience. If you can stay here, you won't be disappointed.

I felt the listing was misleading and that penthouse meant two levels. When we arrived we quickly learned you actually come in on the second level and can either go up or down which was not ideal for my elderly parents. This could have been described more accurately. The beds were comfortable, and kitchen had ample supplies. The views were incredible. The building elevators were very slow. We also had issues with the key opening the door- a keypad would be much easier.

Amazing rental in beautiful Canmore. It was clean and comfortable. Beautiful and stunning views! Hot tub is awesome! Location is great, close to trails to walk along the creek, food close and lots of choices. Kitchen very user friendly and we had everything we needed to cook dinners. Would stay here again!

Amazing spot. Well stocked and extremely clean. Beautiful view of the 3 sister mountain range. Decent walkabiliy to shops. Great communication front host.Only small annoyance of the stay were slow building elevators - obviously no fault or reflection of the property or hosting.We spent a TON of time researching properties for this stay and are really glad we found and booked this one.

Fantastic time in Banff

Instead of giving everyone money at Christmas this year, I said I wanted to make memories! My family decided a winter vacation would be fun and exciting as they never had had one before. We searched and searched and found this property on VRBO. We booked it and everything went smooth as satin. Linda is fantastic as the honor. Her directions were spot on, everything worked, the condo is beautiful. The hot tub was a godsend and I can’t speak highly enough about every single aspect of this property the service and the area. The location was right downtown. We were able to get in and out of Banff without any problem. I would go back in a heartbeat!Oh hi to Cohen and Black and Blue do you wanna be? I don’t know maybe maybe I tell you have an elevated really feels good. Are you gonna do yourself generally OK all right OK there’s a nice and black today.

CANMORE stay

The place was awesome. Had everything you needed for a family of 4. Was clean and comfortable the host was very easy to work with. The parking spot is extra large and easily fit our large SUV. The location was very close to restaurants and grocery stores. Was a great stay, I highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay! Situated in Canmore is perfect location, close to Banff and all that the Rockies have to offer! Private rooftop hot tub was one of the many highlights after a day of skiing. This was our first Christmas family vacation with our now grown children. Made some unforgettable memories and this place made it that much more special!

We loved staying at this condo in Canmore. We were close to Banff and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Hot tub was great after a long day of hiking.

Perfect Base Camp

This condo in Canmore is the perfect base camp for all of your activities while visiting Banff National Park and Canmore. The views from both levels are spectacular. The house is in excellent condition, very clean with the furnishings and amenities excellent. The hosts provided everything you need to make the stay comfortable. Kitchen, bathroom and linen supplies all provided and plentiful. The Host are extremely attentive. While they were out of town during our stay they had their manager, Rhona, available as our contact. Rhona was extremely helpful with checkin and checkout and was in constant contact to make sure our stay was pleasant. We had one issue with the hot tub and within an hour Rhona had us in touch with the owner who called me directly and walked me through the issue. We can’t say enough about this place and the owners. Just know you will not be disappointed with the location, amenities and attention you get from this host property.

Great location and accommodations. Loved the kitchen and views from the balcony. The third bedroom with no window and no vent was very warm and adult kids were unable to sleep in there. Should be fine in winter months.

Good place to stay

Place was amazing, and so were hosts. Very responsive. Only issue we found that 3rd room that was listed has no AC or ventilation so it becomes really hot in the night. Surely that problem would not exists in winters.

Annual Canadian Rockies Trip

This is an awesome property in a great location. It has everything we need and then some. We visit Canmore every summer for several weeks and have stayed in this unit several times. We plan to stay here again in the future.
