Property Description:

Villa Benedetta, a magnificent historic estate dating back to the early 1800s, has long served as the cherished heart of the Folonari family, a name renowned for its legacy of excellence in Italian winemaking. Set amidst the family’s sprawling agricultural estate, which produces world-class wines, the villa exudes timeless elegance and charm, offering a seamless blend of history and sophistication.

In 2014, after an extensive renovation, Villa Benedetta was transformed into a luxurious vacation retreat. Surrounded by the breathtaking Tuscan countryside, it provides a wealth of opportunities for exploration and adventure, whether on foot, by bike, by car, or on horseback.

The villa's beautifully landscaped park offers serene, shaded areas ideal for unwinding or enjoying al fresco meals. A recently added barbecue area and a spacious gazebo, which seats up to 20 guests, provide the perfect setting to take in the sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside. Completing the outdoor experience is a private heated swimming pool (size 40 x 16 feet), equipped with a changing room, full bathroom, and dedicated Wi-Fi access.

Guests staying at Villa Benedetta are always welcome to visit the cellars and taste the wines produced within the estates of the Folonari family.

Location: Situated in the town of Greve in Chianti, often referred to as the "gateway" to the Chianti region, Villa Benedetta offers easy access to the town’s main square, Piazza Matteotti, just a 10-15 minute walk (or a 3 minute drive) away. The square is home to excellent restaurants such as Osteria Mangiando Mangiando, Bottega del Moro, Enoteca il Gallo Nero and Oliosteria La Terrazza, as well as various grocery stores, artisan shops, and the historic Antica Macelleria Falorni, a butcher shop & bistro dating back to 1729. A large supermarket is also located nearby. For day trips, a bus stop within walking distance provides connections to Florence, San Gimignano, several Chianti locations and Siena.

Additionally, transportation for tours or wine excursions around Florence & Tuscany with a private chauffeur can be easily arranged at any time. The same applies to cooking classes, private dining services (including delicious Italian pizza or gelato options) directly at the villa, grocery shopping services, private massages, yoga classes or personal training, bike rentals, and babysitting services.

Interior Description:
The villa features a total of 10,000 square feet of living space and offers spacious accommodations with 9 large bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms (18 guests), with an additional bedroom (10th BR) with ensuite available upon request (so to accommodate up to 20 guests). All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning.

** City Tax: The city tax is payable separately upon arrival, with children under 14 years exempt. It is applicable for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights, at a rate of €1.50 per night from November 1st to May 31st, and €2.00 per night from June 1st to October 31st.

- An additional wedding/event fee applies for hosting events with non-villa residents attending. The fee varies based on the final guest count.
