Priceless Location and Ease

Beautiful apartment with historic details, located in a tucked-away piazza just steps to the Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio, with restaurants and shopping! All the comforts of home while enjoying Florence. Easy checkin and good communication. Have stayed here multiple times and always a pleasure.

Great apt but cold showers

Pros: Good location and clean apt. The layout is great for families, the kids bedroom is farthest from the common areas and a nice size. Cons: Lack of hot water. We had a 2 night stay with 4 people. No one got through a shampoo before the water turned cold in the shower. When we reached out to the owner, he checked the water heater on his app and said it was set correctly. So there was no remedy to the problem. There was difficulty finding the door from the vrbo address. Host was not responsive to message through Vrbo app, but replied quickly when messaged through WhatsApp.

Met mijn 2 kleinkinderen op stap

Ik zocht vorig jaar naar een verwenreisje voor ons drietjes en was meteen in de ban van het verblijf van Diego. Uitzonderlijke ligging in het mooie Firenze. Al vanaf het ogenblik dat we toekwamen was de ontvangst super. Een heel fijne thuis met alles erop en eraan. Heel gerieflijk.

Comfortable apartment

Very well located and clean accommodation. However, a little cold. Even with the air conditioning turned up to maximum, it was cool. Otherwise, the accommodation is comfortable.

Amazing location!

A wonderful, well-appointed apartment. Tricky to find in a tiny piazza, but the most AMAZING location! Our host only spoke Italian (so I could practice mine!) but was exceptionally friendly.

Florence apartment

Address of property was wrong. Had communication difficulty with the host because his phone died. We waited in the rain and He sent his colleague who spoke no English. The Wi-Fi password was wrong. The location was excellent.

Perfect location

This was my second time staying at the flat, it’s so convenient to all sites. Even though it’s right next to Piazza Signora, it’s very quiet at night. We had some trouble with lightbulbs (oddly shaped ones that I couldn’t fix) and Diego responded very quickly and came to fix them the next day. I couldn’t recommend this more and hope to have a third stay in the future!

We had a very enjoyable stay in this cozy apartment. Perfect location.

This apartment is in the heart of the old city, just a block from Ponte Vecchio. The two bedrooms and two baths accommodated our kids (2 adults and a baby) although the "living room" was too small to seat us all. My only criticisms: tiny couch, poor reading lights, and a very faulty washing machine. Every time I did a load of laundry, it wouldn't finish the cycle because of error messages. I ended up rinsing out the 3 items of clothing I washed and wringing them out. Fortunately there's a self-laundry not too far, but it got expensive. We stayed a month and we were very happy with the accommodations. One last item: we ended up waiting for over 40 minutes because no one was there to meet us. Not good after a 13 hour plain trip. Over communicate with the owner before you go. And try and have a working phone to call taxis and the owner in case problems arise.

Excellent location, excellent apartment

We found Chiasso to be a superb apartment in the best of locations in Firenze! It is exquisitely designed and possesses a very unique character! It is well equipped and Diego even secured an american style drip coffee pot for us. Plenty of hot water and the air conditioning was a blessing as the anticipated cool mid September was actually a heat wave. The only bone to pick was the linens could use some refreshing. We will return, soon!

Perfect apartment, perfect location

The apartment is a great balance of old world charm and modern facilities. Bathroom facilities are almost new. Yet, you look up to see the vaulted brick ceilings and you know the building has been there a long time. The location is perfect. Two blocks from the Ponte Vechio. Two blocks from the Uffizi. Yet you are on a small piazza connected by alleys. There you get very little noise from the outside. The best noise is the hourly chime of the bell tower next to the Uffizi. I loved hearing those bells. I highly recommend this apartment.

Terrific location and cool apartment!!

Overall, this apartment was located in an ideal part of town. In spite of the random helicopter fly-overs in the early morning, the place was very quiet, too. We are a family of four and this place suited us perfectly. The layout was terrific and the space was very clean. We wished there was a microwave, but otherwise it had what we needed. Thanks to Diego for being flexible and communicative throughout. Unfortunately we never had the chance to meet Diego and thank him in person (we met his associate, Alessandro, who seemed a little confused and not well-informed for check in).

Amazing little get away from the crowds!

Very clean and unique home!! You will love the amazing design of the apartment. Well equipped for cooking and catching up on laundry if you need to. Very close to all the action of shopping and sightseeing but still off the beaten path. Close grocery store for your convience. Great restaurants nearby. We were looking for pizza and the restaurant across from us sent us to the #1 pizza place in Florence. We found this out after we arrived home and saw in a magazine. Diego was also great in communication.

Central, clean, roomy and enjoyable!

Great experience here. So roomy, love the brick ceilings, very clean! The back room king bed is split, like two twins put together, so it made it slightly uncomfortable to sleep in but it was a comfortable bed. Make sure to bring soap and shampoo, there was none there. Great response from Diego, great assistance getting in and would recommend this place for sure. The location is perfecto!

Great location & owner!

This apartment is in a great location for exploring Florence. Diego is a great guy--very quick to answer any questions and was so helpful in making dinner reservations for us. The apartment wasn't our favorite, but the beds were very comfortable. The glass at the top of the walls made it very easy to hear anyone in the apartment who was in the front bedroom and/or any of the bathrooms. That made it a bit uncomfortable/awkward. There was also a strange smell in the apartment (especially in the kitchen area where the trash is kept). The air conditioning provided in the living room/kitchen and the back bedroom worked well, and we appreciated the fan in the front bedroom since it did not have an a/c unit. It was comfortable. We appreciated all the travel guides and the washing machine (with soap provided).

There can not be a better location in all of Florence!

We were thrilled with the location being steps from the Ponte Vechio and Uffizzi. The rooms were OK with the bedding needing an upgrade but everything else was great with kitchen, living space and baths. Very accommodating hosts.

great location!

This apartment is just a couple of blocks to the uffizi and the Pont vecchio. We were able to walk to everything including the galleria di accademia. The ground floor was nice as we were all senior citizens. Communication was good with Diego. Alessandro was very thorough in checking us in. Right in the center of everything yet on a very quiet street. The apartment was very nice and we'll equiped. Thank you!

We loved our stay. So close to everything!

We enjoyed the easy access to Piazza Signoria and Ponte Vecchio and short walks to morning expressos, pastries, and gelatos! Plenty of room for two couples. My only suggestion would be to have better pillows. The memory foam beds were welcomed at the end of a long day of sightseeing!

This apartment has it all!!

3 things: 1) location 2) size, and 3) charm and amenities. This apartment truly has it all!! Tucked into a quiet piazza right in the heart of center city, you can enjoy quiet or get into the action. There is a great restaurant with outdoor seating literally 15 steps from your door! The two bedroom, 2 bath layout is perfect for 2 couples or family, and pleasingly located on the ground level so no schlepping bags. The beautiful 800-year old ceilings and arches, combined with artistic design elements, make it equally stylish and historic. The owner has thought of everything, all necessities are tucked away nicely. We have stayed in 4 apartments in center city Florence, and this blows away all others. The only cons: the ensuite bath is small (but well designed and super functional), and you are so close to Palazza Vecchio that the bells chiming is noticeable. After the first day, you don't notice - but who doesn't love that sound? I'd love to hear the bells again right now.

Beautifully decorated, fantastic location!

We had a great stay at Diego's apartment. It is in a fantastic location. Just steps off of Piazza della Signoria. It is within walking distance of all of Florence's attractions. Walk to restaurants, shops, and the leather market are less than 5 minutes. The apartment is a beautiful blend of historical architecture and modern decor and amenities. The two bedrooms and bathrooms made it perfect for the us (two couples). The living area, dining area, and private patio were great gathering spaces for us. We will definitely be returning!

Great, I mean GREAT location

We spent New Year's Eve hear and had a great time. The apartment is very easy to access and the location could not be better. You are less than 2 minutes from Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, and located on one of the best squares in Florence. I highly recommend.
