Situated. on our beachfront lot behind Blue Moon Cabana, Baby Blue Cabana enjoys sea views, has a separate walkway out to the public beach, and is steps from the sea. About Hopkins Village: Hopkins is a friendly village and because Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are located in the center of Hopkins, you can walk to everything. You can also rent a bicycle, motorbike, or golf cart to get around. The Cabanas are situated on a private beachfront lot and because we're in a village we do have neighbors. Hopkins is a vibrant traditional village that comes alive early in the morning with the singing of tropical birds and the occasional rooster letting you know it's morning! If you're looking to experience the culture of a local village in Belize, Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are the perfect spot. If you require a more luxurious and fancier experience, you may be happier with a resort-type accommodation in the north and south outskirts of the village. There is a variety of accommodation options in and around Hopkins to meet the diverse needs of vacationers.

In Hopkins, you'll have access to the best Belize has to offer, including fabulous beaches and easy access to the Cayes, diving and snorkeling, nearby mountains and jungles, and much more. When you stay at Baby Blue Cabana, we can arrange a variety of tours and adventures for you. Mirko, our Property Manager, is a licensed tour operator through the Belize Tourism Board and the Owner/Operator of Flying Boat Adventures, our official partner for transportation and transfers, tours, and adventures, and flights with Tropic Air within Belize and surrounding countries. Great location!

Loved my stay at Baby Blue Moon! The room was clean and had everything I needed. Walkable (or ride a bike) to many restaurants and stores. There was a bike rental place just across the street! The beach is beautiful as always and there were a couple of lounge chairs on the property for my use.

Cool spot to stay if you want to experience the Garifuna culture in Hopkins.

The Garifuna people are very friendly and welcoming. We experienced great local food and made friends.

Perfect low key couples cabana

We had a short, lovely stay in Hopkins in this little cabana. It is centrally located, private, and easy to access.

Getaway

The lodging was nice, there currently is construction behind the Cabana but nothing to noisy after night fall. Saturday and Sunday nights were a serious issue though the place next door played Karaoke until 0200 am!! But other than that we had wonderful time.

Baby Blue hide-a-way

Can't say enough about how wonderful this little Hopkins gem is! Right on the beach and at the same time in the centre of a walkable village! Bought our fruits and veggies on the street, best coffee right next door, and several rustic beach restaurants within easy walking distance. We tried them all and enjoyed every meal. This is a real village, not a resort, so expect the sounds and friendly people of every day life. Don't forget to tip the gentleman who cleans and rakes the sand all the way from the bungalow to the water (keeps the sand flee population down)

Loved this cabana and the location in Hopkins

We loved being in the village of Hopkins, enjoyed the local restaurants and the local culture. The cabana was super clean, Mirko was very helpful, reviewed everything with us, and was available if we needed him!

4 great days in Hopkins

Cabin was exactly as advertised, plenty of room for 2, great water pressure, our host gave us good advice on local eateries and set us up with an outstanding snorkel trip with Patrick. Hopkins is a fantastic place, much more local flavor than the other seaside tourist areas.

Great location in the heart of Hopkins

Perfect little Cabana right in the middle of cultural Hopkins. Great Street food, coffee, and beach! Garifuna drummers, food, the full cultural experience. We loved it!

Comfortable and convenient stay

The property was perfect for one person with all the necessary amenities, and was very clean. Its located right on the beach and only a stones throw from restaurants and bars in Hopkons nearby. Peaceful, with clear communication with the property owner whenever I had a question or needed to book a taxi to the airport.

This is a great laid back relaxed place to stay.

This is a great place. Management is super nice and accommodating. The only down side is the unreliable Internet service, but I realize it is out of their hands.

Bungalow on the beach

We had a pleasant stay at the Baby Blue Cabana. We enjoyed using the kitchen and eating on the deck with a view of the beach. Cozy bungalow for two. Within walking distance of Hopkins eateries. The property owner helped us get transportation to local attractions.

Great for 1 or 2 people.

Right on the beach. Staff went out of their way to help me with getting from the airport, excursions-which definitely helped because I was on my own and most excursion companies have a minimum of 2 people. I would definitely come here again.

Mirko was great!

The property was a little smaller than we expected, so it was a little less ventilated than we hoped. However, the beachfront was very peaceful and mostly quiet. The location is also very convenient. Whenever we had issues Mirko was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would book again.

Beautiful location and exactly as expected

Awesome little cabana with a comfy bed, shower, kitchen and porch with a hammock. The location is great for walking to everything in Hopkins. All the restaurants are close and the market is less than a block away. Making a pot of coffee in the morning and sitting is the beach is hard to beat. I have and will continue to recommend this property to all my friends.

Nice private cabana in the heart of Hopkins

Great communication with host, Mirko. Access and check in was smooth. We loved this cozy cabana. It was the smaller cabana on the property. Nice touch with the hammock and coconuts in the mini fridge. Though it was a bit tucked away from the beach, it is a very short walk (count about 30 steps). Walkable to shops and restaurants and ATM.

Honeymoon stay

The Baby Blue was amazing. It was exactly what we wanted. We were able to make all our meals right there in the kitchen. Very quite location, very little traffic. Great location in country lots to go and see near by. And very close to The Oasis Fitness Gym, and the very best restaurant in all of Belize the Lucky Lobster Bar and Grill. Nice setting on the beach. Mirko and Annette were great and checked in on us a couple of times to make sure we had an amazing trip.

What a little gem we found. While there is a larger cabana in front of the one we stayed in, blocking most of the ocean view we could still see the ocean a little bit, and literally it was a two minute walk to the beach. The cabana itself was very comfortable with a stocked kitchen, good bed and clean room. Just felt very homey. We'd make a simple breakfast and enjoy it on the deck. The birds were fun to watch, and the sunrises amazing. Walking distance to town which had several restaurants. Certainly hope to be back some day.

Belize Hopkins Beach

Property was convincedly located just steps away from the beach. The bungalow was efficiently laid out. Frig, and kitchen items provided including coffee maker. Short walking distance to restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. Site provide information for many different excursion activities. Perfect for 2 people. I would definitely recommend this location or the property located in front of this location for bigger families. Jeff and Erin

We loved it!

This was the perfect place for our week in Hopkins! The location was just what we were looking for. We loved being in town and able to walk to everything. It was everything we expected and more. Siomara's across the street does a delicious breakfast. We ate there twice! Supermarket and fruit stand are across the street. Mirko was great host and arranged the ATM cave tour and a snorkel/fishing tour for us. We would definately stay here again. One drawback about being in town were the noisy birds and the rooster who would wake us up very early. After a couple days, we slept right through it. Would love to go back to Hopkins and stay here again!

Worked well for the two of us...

Conveniently situated in Hopkins & well-maintained. Though we felt secure, the small hotel safe on the premises gave an added sense of protection. Had all we needed for our stay and though we used the kitchen area only for breakfasts (basically cereal, fruit and coffee), we could have prepared a light lunch or dinner had we wanted to. There were the occasional barking dogs at night and crowing roosters in the neighborhood, but that's part of traveling and were only a minor annoyance. Mirko, the manager, was responsive and also helped us arrange transportation to a lodge near San Ignacio, our next stop in Belize. Summary: Baby Blue cabana is a good value.

Bliss at Baby Blue Cabana

For me, my stay at Hopkins was perfect in every way. My life is normally very hectic , so coming to Belize from August 4 to the 10th was extremely relaxing. Everywhere I went the people were warm and friendly. Hats off to Peer's Restaurant. The setting reminded me of my personal "Paradise" with the ocean views . I plan on coming back to Belize next July. I hope to rent the same property. Mirko is very knowledgeable and helpful concerning the Belizian culture. Thanks to the groundskeeper Angelo who schooled me in three kinds of coconuts produced there. I give a "shout out" the lovely English lady that also maintained the property.

Cabana Escqpe

Mirko was communicative and met me for both check in and check out. The cabana is small but spacious and really had everything I needed for my stay. I loved my little porch and I could see the ocean despite having a larger cabana in front of me. Do Not overpack as you do need to carry your luggage over sand about 100 yards to get to your little vacation home. This was the neatest property among a beach full of cabanas as it was kept raked and free of ocean detritus/garbage. Hopkins is a small community without boutiques or shopping but perfect if you want to immerse yourself in a friendly-ish town, eat local cuisine and take long walks on thr beach! I rented a car so I was able to easily leave town for the day to explore. And yes, That rooster😂. Ear plugs are provided for those light sleepers.

Baby Blue Cabana was built in 2014 in the lot behind our beachfront Blue Moon Cabana. We put our hearts and souls into the cabana and wanted to build a place that fit with the culture of Hopkins. It was important to us to create a space that was comfortable and included all the things we would want ourselves in a rental cabana in Belize. We are not into the resort experience and value the local culture and people of Hopkins. We leave the resort-type experience to the places south of the village. Mirko, who lives nearby Baby Blue and Blue Moon Cabana is available to assist guests with all their needs during their stay, including transfer to and from the airport (and other locations) and arranging tours and other adventures for guests.

Hopkins is a laid back village with beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and Maya Mountains on the other side. Hopkins has a rich cultural life --and traditional Garifuna life is evident throughout the village.

Local restaurants and other popular establishments are within walking distance from the cabana, but guests can also rent bicycles to get around, too. In addition to relaxing on the veranda or on the beach, there are so many adventures to enjoy in and around the village.
