What a fabulous stay! The house setting is peaceful and gorgeous, I wish we'd had more time to really spend here. The hosts are all lovely and very helpful. The rooms were comfortable with great AC - on the wall style, not in a window, which was a nice surprise. The separate bedroom in the pool house area downstairs was a good setup for our family, and the pool itself was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Absolutely recommend and hopefully will be back again ourselves one day!

Ein wundervolles Ferienhaus, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Für die Teenager war das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss perfekt gelegen, über die Außentreppe war der weitere Wohn-/Essbereich erreichbar. Der Wellnessbereich war einfach toll, wir haben uns super entspannt. Besonders genossen haben wir den Gartenbereich mit dem Seerosenteich - traumhaft!! Haus und Gartenbereich werden mit viel Geschick und Liebe gestaltet. Danke für die wunderbare Zeit an Cholette und Daniel!

Beautiful Country Estate

What a beautiful property! The garden, the pond, the home was stunning! We wish we could have spent more time enjoying the property. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Bayeaux!The hosts were so kind and showed us how everything works and operated. We highly recommend this beautiful place!

Le Manoir, Normandy beaches stay

This is a fabulous property and the owners are wonderful.Very friendly and helpful. Colette left a jar of homemade apple jelly for us and surprised us with two more to take home after I mentioned how much we enjoyed it.Our two grandchildren loved the playground and the jacuzzi.We would highly recommend it as a place to stay to visit the beaches.

We were warmly welcomed by Daniel and Collette. Daniel showed us the many features. They provided Cider and homemade apple jelly as a welcoming gift.This property cannot be adequately described. The grounds are picturesque and beautifully manicured. There is a Coy Pond surrounded by lovely, fragrant flowers.The interior is just as amazing. The lower level has a true spa featuring a large hot tub, bar, showers and toilet. There is a bedroom just off of it with an en-suite bathroom.Upstairs features and large living area with well appointed kitchen and powder room. There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master has a lovely en-suite bathroom.The property is air conditioned ….but you will not need it since there are large windows. In addition, there is a washer and dryer.This property is located about 10 minute drive from Bayeux in a lovely quiet rural area….well worth the trip!

Our stay was fantastic. It was nice to spend a few nights in the Normandy countryside. The property is fantastic - well kept gardens and the lily pond were beautiful. We we able to prepare meals in the kitchen and use the laundry machines in the middle of 2.5 weeks in Europe, which helped us limit our bags.Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Excellent Stay for Exploring Normandy!

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation house, which is perfectly located for exploring the region's highlights such as Bayeux, Caen, and Omaha Beach. With a car, we could reach Honfleur and Deauville in about an hour and the iconic Mont Saint-Michel in approximately 90 minutes. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and very inviting. The hosts were caring, discreet, and uncomplicated, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The house perfectly matched its description and was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a comfortable and memorable visit to Normandy!

Gîte Le Manoir

Le gîte dans lequel nous avons séjourné à 5 personnes dont un enfant de 3 ans durant une semaine est très bien équipé et situé dans un très beau domaine, très bien entretenu et idéalement situé. Il nous semble judicieux de préciser que le rez-de-chaussée, dans lequel se situe le spa et une chambre à coucher, et l'étage ne communiquent que par un escalier extérieur. En effet, cela peut présenter un inconvénient ou un avantage en fonction de la typologie des vacanciers. Par ailleurs, si vous avez un enfant en bas âge, l'aire de jeux ne lui sera autorisée que si les roulottes présentes sur le terrain ne sont pas louées, pour des raisons évidentes de tranquillité pour leurs occupants. Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir pu saluer Daniel lors de notre départ. En effet, nous avons dû quitter le gîte précipitamment car sommes partis à 10h15 au lieu de 10h00 (pas toujours évident d'être ponctuel avec un enfant de 3 ans!). Nous n'avons donc pas eu l'occasion de signaler aux propriétaires que le frigidaire de l'étage n'est pas hermétique et goutte et que nous ne sommes pas certains d'être parvenus à régler le petit souci de fourmis volantes du spa malgré les bombes insecticides. Pour cette raison, la chambre du rez-de-chaussée n'a pu être occupée qu'une seule nuit et le bain à remous, à deux reprises uniquement. Rien de grave, cependant, ce sont les aléas de la nature!

Un week-end dépaysant en Normandie

Accueillant, calme et très bien pensé. Un groupe de 7 personnes : 6 adultes et mon fils. Nous sommes venus pour les célébrations des 80 ans du débarquement. L’emplacement est parfait, bayeux à 10 min, arromanches à 15 min. Les plages du débarquement à un jet de pierre. C’était parfait. Et le lieu est paradisiaque et très bien pensé. Nous nous sommes sentis chez nous tout de suite. Colette nous a accueilli et s’est adaptée à notre horaire tardif. Elle nous a très bien conseillé (restos) et est restée disponible durant notre week-end. Une chose est sûr nous reviendrons. À faire et à refaire

Relaxing

The property is serene. The outdoor area is huge. It has a Coi pond, kids play area , lounge chairs and is surrounded by fields in a small town. You do need a car as it is not near anything walkable. The house is well stocked for cooking and definitely a place for a larger group with or without kids. It has a bar area, large jacuzzi, outside grill. The entire property is surrounded by a stone wall. It has a homey feeling for sure! All tourist areas are 15- 45 minute drive.

Perfect base for Normandy Landings exploration

The accommodation was perfect for the six of us. It was ideally situated in a village outside Bayeux - which has lots of supermarkets, bars and restaurants (as well as the Tapestry). It also afforded small distances to travel to many of the significant D-Day sights such as Longes sur Mer, Arromances, the British Normandy Memorial to name but a few. The furthest we had to travel was an hour to Utah beach. If you want to be able to walk to a bar or restaurant this is not the place, but for us it was perect to return to, to kick back, chill in the hot tub and plan the next day. The hosts were lovely and non intrisive There was one room woth ensuite on the ground floor, along with a spa, further showers and loo. There was also a fridge and freezer on the ground floor. Upstairs were a further two bedrooms, a bathroom and a further loo, along with kitchen diner. There was a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, iron etc so all bases covered! The outside area had a bbq, table and chairs and loungers. It was beautiful and lovely to hear the birds singing amd cows mooing! Highly recommended.

Excellent Normandy gite

Stayed here over Easter as a base to visit the landing beaches, Bayeux etc. Very good rooms and peaceful location, only about 45 minutes from the ferry terminal. Owners very friendly and helpful. Hot tub is a bonus! Recommended.

Magical property and beautiful stay !

Took a short trip from Paris to Normandy… the property was gorgeous and comfortable! The spa tub was a special treat! The owners are so friendly and accommodating. Normandy was so welcoming and this was a perfect spot.

Loved the location

Location is beautiful and very relaxing. The hosts were excellent in responding to requests and needs. It is a very safe place and convenient to Bayeux shops and restaurants. We had a rental car and managed to get around with our gps. It was quiet and peaceful.

Excellent location

We found the house excellent for 2 couples, we had communal areas and private areas which suited us. Supermarkets and shops on the outskirts of Bayeux were handy. Ideal location for the beaches.. would choose this accommodation again.
