In the Heart of Old Destin. Sunchase town-homes are the original highly-desired beaches of Destin, and you can't get a better seat. You will be within walking distance to some of Destin's favorite Restaurants. 1 block from the Whales Tale There's no pool here, but the ocean is all yours. Just step off your deck onto your own beach.

A 5 min drive of outlet malls, many restaurants, and other retail shopping. Want to go to the Destin Harbor, then give yourself ten minutes driving time, and you're there.

Purchased in 2014 this newly remodeled unit is a 'No smoking, No pets' Studio unit which will sleep four people The entrance to this unit is ground level with no stairs. The Studio Unit comes fully equipped has a King Size Bed, Kitchen and bath. There is also Queen Sleeper Sofa in the living room and queen murphy bed bringing the sleep total to 6. There are 2 Flatscreen TV's, and a DVD Player. The Full Kitchen is equipped with Appliances, Dishes, Silverware, and Cookware. There are Linens, Towels, and a private Washer / Dryer for your convenience.

The private balcony is equipped with chairs for a relaxing evenings in the breeze. A gated staircase allows all renters direct access to the beach and first floor balcony with an outdoor shower and beach chairs to take to the beach, The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.

There is one designated parking spot for this rental that accommodates 2 standard cars, and it is directly in front of the unit.

Beach Time
The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach. Play in the beach all day and rinse off in the outdoor shower.

Lastly, no more looking for the perfect beach spot since the unit is deeded all the beach to to the water!

The good:Access to the beach was awesome. It was near local shops. Most appliances worked. Shower was nice but needed a little more water pressure. Bath tub worked good. HVAC worked good even as hot as it was.The bad: When we arrived it seemed as if proper cleaning was not done prior. The ice machine does not work properly. Can opener outdated. The TV location was not enjoyable. Sliding door is difficult to lock. We noticed water bugs dead on the floor. Outside looks runned down but was still standing. Parking is very close to each other. We are glad we came in a small SUV.We would probably not rent here again unless last resort.

Awesome view!

The view was beautiful! It was so nice to sit on the balcony and listen to the water. Location was excellent. The parking is very tight though. We nailed it on the second day...lol. We had some minor problems and they were attended to promptly. The thing that almost ruined all of the good though was the people upstairs. I don't know if the live there or were renters like us. They moved furniture all over the place for most of the day and night. Led to a few sleepless nights. Also, the bed needs to be replaced. Other than that we had a wonderful time. Again, you can't beat the view. You have a door that leads to your own walkway to the beach.

We stayed on the first floor and ended up leaving early due to the excessive noise of the guests directly above us. You will hear every footstep! We also had the guest above us ash their cigarette off their balcony landing directly on us below. There is no privacy on the balcony as the guests above can see directly through the floor boards. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay with peace and quiet.

Can’t beat the location - has a private beach for just the complex so you avoid the crowds. Plenty of room for just the two of us and within walking distance or restaurants and coffee. The storage closet has tons of beach toys so if you bring kids they can definitely find something to play with. Bed was extremely comfortable and you are only one flight of stairs from the beach. Highly recommend.

Disappointed

The good-Beach access, beach not crowded. Very relaxing. Shower and Jetted Tub was nice, The bad- Parking situation was difficult getting in and out off major highway. Steps need of repair. Lots of junk outside. Upstairs neighbors were the worst part of visit. Ended up checking out early. Noise was horrible. Never again. Missed having a pool

Falling apart

First off the place needs major attention. You can hear everything the folks above and beside you do, everything. Tile floor busted ceiling falling paint bad. Try to sit on the balcony and water or whatever falls on you from The folks above. Stairs to beach are leaning and dangerous. For the amount we paid we have stayed in much much better places. Only positive about the place is the beach is pretty private and is clean. Will not recommend or stay here again.

3 day March 2024 stay

Great location, parking is a little sketchy but doable, we only had 1 vehicle, not sure how you could park 2 in the space allowed. Matress on bed was not the best if I would have been staying longer I might have purchased a memory foam topper. Shower and jetted soaking tub were wonderful. I was smart enough to pack my own laundry & dish washer tablets, there were none provided even though it stated there would be 1 for each. Overall decent place, exterior looks a bit ruff.

Perfect location

This small condo was perfect for my husband and me. We stayed a short three nights away but it was so so amazing being right there on the beach. It was spacious enough, clean and the walk-in shower/jacuzzi tub was an added bonus. We had an issue with our AC when first arriving and they were extremely responsive to our needs. Everything was perfect for us!!!!

Beach house.

We loved the location and how close it was to the beach and the restaurants. Only issues we had was the shower and the bed. The seal around the door on the walk in shower was bad so water kept leaking out of the bottom onto the floor with every time we showered. The bed was just super firm. We Couldn’t get a good nights sleep because we couldn’t get comfortable. Also in our blankets and towels there were other peoples hair balled up in them. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and we’d definitely come back to stay again. Thanks for letting us stay.

Nice but..

Some stuff needs to be replaced or fixed. For example shower door is missing the plastic on the bottom so water is coming outside during a shower. Patio door needs a new locks and grill needst to be replaced.

You cant beat this stay on the ocean. You get so much for the price. Beautiful views all day long. Dining with in walking distance. Communication with the owners was outstanding. We had a small issue with the homes water which was dealt with immediately and we were given options to use other units water until the water was restored which it was immediately. We chose this home on our first 3 nights of our Florida vacation and chose it again for the return trip because we enjoyed it so much the 1st time. FYI your parking spots are the NO parking spots. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful second anniversary

We stayed at this property before except for the top floor for our honeymoon. This was our first time on the second floor. It was definitely a different experience with pros and cons. Pros are you’re closer to the beach and not as many stairs. Cons are you hear everything above you. We had some restless night and mornings as a family was staying above us. But other than that, it’s a great place to stay. Very convenient walk to everything.

Loved the view from our patio! Excellent spot on the beach! Loved that we had our own private little section! Close to fabulous restaurants! Only complaint was upstairs renter had 3 kids who stomped around at all times of the night. They stomped so hard that it made our fire detector go off several times. We will definitely be back!

View Amazing, but wouldn't stay here again.

To begin with, the good... I doubt you will find a better view of the ocean in Destin than this one. If the view and beach access are what you are going for, this place is for you. The actual unit itself is in major need of attention. From the 2-foot crack on the shower floor that bleeds rust, the filthy black grout and tile throughout the unit, springy sofa bed, touchy AC, and old towels and blankets, this place screams cringeworthy motel. You will want to bring your shower shoes, personal towels and blankets. There are 3 sets of sheets for the 3 beds, but only 2 fit. There are only 2 thin quiltlike blankets in the unit. One bed did not have a blanket or sheets that fit. You expect a sofa bed mattress to uncomfortable, but this was the worst I have ever experienced. The towels were old and made you question if you should use them to dry your clean body or dry the filthy floor. The unit has an AC that fogs up the windows of your million-dollar view and fills the air with condensation. The washer and dry are nice to have but they should have the sand cleaned out of them. The place has the potential to be great and probably was years ago, but it needs a very deep cleaning, new bedding and toiletries and some serious TLC. I would also highly recommend a better door locking system, with a secondary interior lock. This is just a guess, but I doubt the 4 digit locking code used to secure the door changes very often. Since it’s used in multiple places. Again, this place has potential, just depends on what type of experience you are looking for. Check in and check were seamless.

We call it Sticks in the Sand because it is on pylons on the beach. Now married with 3 children we have continued to add our rental offerings . Due to the success of the original Sticks in the Sand, We now have 6 almost identical townhomes to rent! We have studio 1,2,3 bedroom units and continue to hope to provide our homes for families to enjoy..

The units are close to everything, walking distance to a bar/restaurant and directly on the beach with private ownership all the way to the water. . The townhome can be rented 3 ways, a 2 bedroom (Listing #639885) , Studio unit (Listing #639886) or if you need more space you can rent it as a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath unit by renting them both. So it was perfect to maintain all my renters in one location.
