Amazing Palazzo!! The view is enchanting and magical!!!! The location is fantastic. We enjoyed our week long stay. The apartment was very clean. We loved sitting by the windows having coffee or dinner looming our at the garden and wall if Lucca. Dario is a fantastic host with excellent communication. All the staff were so friendly and kind.

We loved the location and I was beautiful. No A/C was a huge problem the room was very hot and humid. The owner was great and easy to work with.

Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the magical experience we hoped for when we booked it. Met and exceeded every expectation.Dario is an excellent host with amazing communication. The apartment is incredible, it's exactly like the photos, stunning views with an unbeatable location inside the walls of Lucca. The garden is lovely, being able to take it in every morning was priceless. The perfect spot to explore the beautiful city of Lucca.

A wonderful, stately and spacious apartment in this elegant palazzo. Historic Lucca is on the doorstep after leaving the grand portico and gardens full of lemon trees. The host is most helpful and responsive.

Stunning sums it up! Beautiful, spacious rooms with amazing garden view. Kitchen with all amenities. Lucky to have chamber music concert in the lobby during our stay. Close to good restaurants, shopping and the historic walls. Highly recommend a stay here.

Our stay in the palazzo was great. We loved the buildings and the gardens. Dario was a great host. Highly recommended. Tip for future guests - the hot water worked best when the central heating was turned on.

Beyond my wildest dreams

The property is so special and welcoming. The location could not be better and looking over the garden toward the wall was a favorite memory of our week. The kitchen offered everything we needed. Will book again!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Palazzo Pfanner. Dario is incredibly helpful and his communication is great. Lucca is such a gorgeous city and we enjoyed hours cycling round the city walls. We visited Palazzo Pfanner a few years ago, so to have the opportunity to stay in an apartment there was such a treat. It is absolutely gorgeous! It has absolutely everything you could possibly need.

What a magnificent experience

We were greeted at the station and brought to the property which is just as it is pictured. Lucca is a very special historical and classy place. Can not speak more highly of our stay here. Cinque Terre was a day trip which was an 1hr train ride. Perfect location

Lucca Visit

The flat is amazing- more impressive in person than photos can show. It's in a beautiful villa that's inside a walled garden, so we got to enjoy the privacy and the whole garden. The flat is still decorated as authentic to the period, but the furnishings are comfortable and the 2 main rooms are huge. And you can't beat the location inside the walled portion of the city. We really enjoyed our stay!

A highlight of our trip

We will always have fond memories of our stay at the Palazzo Pfanner. What a privilege to stay in this fine Palazzo. We loved looking out the windows onto the amazing garden. Dario was wonderful and even invited us to attend a concert in the Palazzo. The location is a short walk from the walled city. So much to see there. Don’t pass up the chance to stay here.

Beautiful apartment, high ceilings, gorgeous authentic time period rooms, spacious, clean, and the staircase leading up to the apartment, the pictures don't do it justice., would definitely stay there again if ever in Lucca. Dario was helpful with all of our questions/needs. Wonderful experience!

Awesomely wonderful.

Must experience a property like this to appreciate how the nobility lived. The gardens are out of this world for relaxation. The host Dario is a rather cultured person so a pleasure to meet. He is more than attentive to all enquiries about a stay in the adoring city of Lucca. A wonderful vacation in Pallazzo Pfanner, much more than ever expected.

Elegant and remarkable location

One could not imagine a better location for a stay in a Lucca apartment. Palazzo Pfanner's rooms, its history, the view out onto the gardens, and access to the garden is special. The Palazzo's location adjacent to the wall and closeness to shopping and restaurants is great. The only reservations I have is the need to pay closer attention to improving the quality of sheets and towels, and the kitchen accessories and amenities. These reservations are outweighed by the uniqueness of the property.

Pure magic

I have never stayed in a place as beautiful and awe-inspiring as Palazzo Pfanner. I teared up when I walked in. It is truly breathtaking. Dario is a lovely host who came to the rescue when I left my passport in the room after I'd checked out. Simply perfect in every way. I cannot wait to bring my family to this spectacular place. Lucca is now my favorite Italian town. I miss it already!

Lucca’s gem

Dario and Ettore, our hosts, we’re gracious and kind. The property is a historic landmark in Lucca. People pay to view the gardens, that are basically our back yard. The gardens open to the public between 10-5. This afforded us the opportunity to have quiet breakfasts and dinners in this beautiful garden. Simply amazing! The rooms have 25’ ceilings and the rooms are huge. The bed was very comfortable.
