This was our fifth year in a row staying at the Shangri-La. We absolutely love the location, huge pool and beachfront access. Don is a great host who is very responsive. If you are looking for a great beach vacation and don’t need all the frills, I highly suggest giving the Shangri-La a try.

Amazing location & beach front

Great house with plenty of room but the best part was definitely the pool and right on the beach. The pool was so lovely and plenty of room with the breeze coming off the ocean.

Everything was as it was stated. You needed towels and toilet paper/paper towels. The pool and house are fabulous. We will be back! I thought it was a little strange to vacuum prior to leaving. What do the housekeepers do?

The location couldn't be better. Having both beachfront AND a huge pool is as good as it gets. Very airy main area with kitchen, dining room and living room as one large room with very high ceiling. The balcony has the most outstanding view of the beach and pool.

Property is located in a good location. It is clean and can walk right onto the beach. House has a pool that is a great addition to the beach. Owner is great to work with. We had a great time.

A week in paradise

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the property was great, even though we spent most of our time in the beautiful pool and sitting on the deck looking out at the ocean. The house was exactly as shown not fancy but very comfortable. The host was very gracious and attentive to our needs.

Location is outstanding, always nice to be ocean front.The pool and the dune walkover area are all great. The furnishings and some other things inside could stand some updating/refreshing. And the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough around things like dusting furniture.Overall we had a very enjoyable stay as the weather was great and you just can't beat being right no the beach with a nice pool.

We had a great time!

The home was clean. There was plenty of pots and pans and kitchen utensils. Pool was clean and a comfortable temperature. The view was beautiful. We will look into renting this home again.

Our group had a great time. Beach, location of house and pool was amazing. The house was a little outdated and needed a facelift. Owner responded quickly with any questions or concerns.

My happy place

Enjoyed my stay so much!! It’s my happy place!! Great house with pool and beach!! Who could ask for more. The host was very gracious and patient!! Looking forward to my next trip!!! I cry when I have to leave!!! Just really love my stay!!

The best

Just loved are vacation. The house pool and beach was great. House was clean as well as the pool. Location was fantastic could walk to shopping and restaurants! Family already asking if we can go back and how soon. Looking ahead to do it again. I think I found my spot on Emerald Isle!!!

First time in Emerald Isle. We had perfect weather 5 out of 7 days. We spent most days on the beach or at the pool- perfect. Took a few road trips as well. Highly recommend Beaufort and Morehead. Lots of history, beauty and quaint shops. Recommend the aquarium as well. Dining wise, plenty of bars/grills but would definitely go to Table 9 on Rt 58 in Atlantic beach for an unforgettable dinner. Shopping - some great boutiques close by. The duplex was comfortable and you can’t beat the location! Don was very responsive and very friendly to work with

Wonderful Week!

This is our 6th time vacationing in Emerald Isle, but our first time at this property. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The house was clean and inviting. Was so excited that there was such a nice selection of puzzles and board games for our kids. The pool was the hit of the week- our kids lived in it! Very nice to have the option to go to beach or pool. Will definitely be returning!
