"I remember taking tours of elegant houses and thought, 'I would love to live in a house like that,'" my sister said. We stayed at this house for a week and couldn't get over how splendid-- yet welcoming-- the house was. The bathrooms-- one in every bedroom!-- had modern facilities, yet the design kept the feeling of the late 1800s. The owners were very helpful. We recommend it!

This house was amazing! A beautifully renovated piece of history. The four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms were comfortable and roomy. There was another bathroom downstairs that was convenient as well. The dining room and sitting rooms were furnished to the time period and were stunning. The kitchen had everything you would need and plenty of space for people to hang out as well as cook. The front porch was so relaxing. The back screened porch added more outdoor space to enjoy. The owners were attentive and really nice. We can't say enough good things about this property; it was a delight to be able to enjoy for a weekend!

Our group of four college friends had a wonderful day had a wonderful stay here. Check in with seamless and communication excellent. The home was in immaculate condition upon our arrival. We each loved having our own bedroom and en suite, though four couples could sleep here comfortably. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and there was ample room for sitting and chatting or enjoying a meal together. The large front porch contained several seating areas and was the perfect place for a late afternoon glass of wine and chat among friends. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to the Corning Museum of Glass, a must see if you are in the area. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for some extra space to spread out while visiting family or sightseeing in the area.

This is a beautiful home, comfortable, and lovingly restored. Amazing wood cabinets. With Corning Glass Museum so close, we enjoyed a full day in Corning. Weather was perfect along the Chemung River and Tanglewood Nature Center was great for hiking and enjoying the out of doors. Mark Twain's grave is worth a visit and its easy to see why he enjoyed this beautiful region and wrote many of his books in Elmira.
