Red Rose Cottage is a minutes walk from the High Street, yet in a secluded quiet location. A real 'home from home'. With parking for a medium sized car and a private courtyard garden it is a perfect base for a holiday in glorious Sidmouth, and from this year you can now bring your beloved dog to join in the fun.

The style of Red Rose is classic and comfortable. A place to relax, sit back and enjoy your break. Our cottage is furnished and equipped to provide comfort, with everyday essentials and so much more.

It has a smart TV, books, DVDs and games to keep you entertained, and a really good WiFi connection.

The sleeping arrangements are flexible and the second floor bedroom has a choice between a super king or two singles and feather or hollow fibre pillows. With quality bed linen and towels included to make your break that little bit easier to enjoy.

The welcome pack is our way to get your holiday off to a good start, and we have details of places to go, suggestions about where to eat and drink and a whole collection of other ideas. We know that many people are return visitors to Sidmouth so any fresh ideas for us and our guests are always welcome.

We are always happy to have a chat pre booking and if you need any assistance while staying with us just give us a call.

Exceptionally clean and more than fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. The host was very informative and helpful. It is in a great location for enjoying Sidmouth. The parking is a little difficult and we did park in the car park at the bottom if the road for part of our stay, but still convenient.

An extremely well-equipped house in a great central location. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Chocolate cake and fizz were bonuses! Having a parking space in Sidmouth was very useful, too.

Red Rose Cottage was delightful. Very central for the town, shops and 6 minutes walk to sea front. The house was clean and cosy and well equipped and we were made very welcome.

Ideal home to stay in Sidmouth

The house was in a perfect location - a few minutes walk to the beach and the shops - but away from the hustle and bustle. Spotlessly clean, easy to communicate with the owners and everything you could need was in the home for a perfect relaxing break!

It is obvious Richard (the host) really wants those who stay at this cottage to have the perfect time. He has made such an effort to provide every comfort above and beyond the standard. Everything you could want is available and the welcome gifts including home baked cake were a lovely touch. The property itself is immaculately clean, spacious and with well stocked kitchen. Above all the cottage is very central with a short walk to the front. We had a wonderful 2 weeks - thanks Richard!The only potential challenge is the parking. In itself parking so centrally in Sidmouth is at a premium so this is great, but be aware you will need to be a confident driver to reverse into the space and only with a medium sized car. I was pretty good by the end of our stay, but the first time took me a little time!

Thank you for your stunning review, Sean, it is always a pleasure to have families stay with us who look after our property so well, and to acknowledge what a lovely stay they had in a review is fantastic. I am delighted that you managed to get your car on the driveway, I agree that good reversing skills do help – with a wry smile I usually blame the access design for all six cottages in the row on the Edwardian building planners - although to be fair, back in 1905 when Red Rose was built, there was probably not much call for motor vehicle access, and to their credit, they did create a very pretty little backwater away from the hustle and bustle of the high street! It was lovely to meet you and your family and your adorable dog, please do come and stay with us at Red Rose Cottage again, you would be very welcome.

A gem of a house right in the centre of sidmouth, 2 minute walk to the town yet so quiet! Comfortable and clean,well equipped especially the kitchen. Our family including 3 teenage boys loved our stay in red rose cottage and would definitely go back.

The cottage is well cared for and in a central position. It was well equipped and the hosts seemed to have thought of everything. They had even baked a cake for us!

Superb Sidmouth

This property offers everything for the visitor's needs and more with a very comprehensive 'Welcome' pack so we would have loved to have stayed longer but will have to wait for another time. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

Awesome home!

We were in town for a family funeral and needed a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Red Rose Cottage Sidmouth all expectations for being an absolute wonderful choice. If you find yourself visiting Sigma, and you should, don’t hesitate to choose this offer.

Fantastic find and a great base.

The house was fantastic with everything you could wish for from a holiday rental. It is located in the centre of Sidmouth and provides an excellent base for local days out. There is plenty to do in Sidmouth and we really enjoyed how close it was to the sea front, only a 5 minute walk. It was a fantastic find and one that we hope to book again in the future.

We just love Sidmouth! Having been frequent visitors for many years the charm of Sidmouth never faded, the appeal only increased. Spending time in the town and surrounding area is always pleasant, on a bright November day, enjoying an ice cream in the summer or having a potter through the streets leading up to Christmas - every season in Sidmouth is a pleasure.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Having looked at many properties in Sidmouth we just knew that Red Rose was ideal when we walked through the door. A courtyard garden that gets the sun, three bright bedrooms, right in the heart of Sidmouth. The bonus of a parking space, the secluded yet central location. It was just what we were looking for.

We wanted a holiday cottage that was homely and comfortable. Where the furniture was chosen because we think it looks well together, not because it had become redundant in someone else's home, the little things matter.

In January 2022, we had new carpets throughout, and a walk in shower refit in the bathroom - and having road tested it, I can honestly say it is perfect!

We really hope that you enjoy looking at the cottage, and if you choose to stay that you have a really good time in comfortable, relaxing surroundings.
