Our Lakefront Retreat

Enjoy our year-round house on stunning Lake Memphremagog, spanning over 31 miles from Newport, Vermont to Magog, Quebec.
This waterfront property offers a private dock, with limited access to a sandy beach, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

Summer Highlights:

Relax on the lake with paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and life jackets.
Grill outdoors and enjoy evenings by the fire pit.
Explore the lake's vibrant fishing scene.


Cozy up by the fireplace (winter only) with a good book or enjoy live music on the baby grand piano.
Embark on snowmobile adventures or cross-country skiing directly from the property.
Accommodations:

5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (2 full, 2 half)
Sleeps up to up to 10 comfortably (based rate for 6 guests, additional fees for more than 6)
Modern amenities including Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and fully equipped kitchen, all sheets adn linnens provided for up to 10 guests, more available on request if notified at time of booking.

Rates & Policies:

Rates based on 3 bedrooms being used with up to 6 guests total for duration of stay
Minimum 4 to 6 nights occupation/ stays (vary by season)
- Additional guests above 6 add $15/night per person (up to 10), then additional $30/night per person if above 10 (11-14) maximum 14 guests can stay during any booking (maximum 8 adults, 7 children (over 1 year old))
Extra room fee: $70/room used if above 3 bedrooms used (up to $140/stay additional room charge)
Sunday checkout: $75 fee

Note: Children under 1 year old are not included in guest count so are free.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake house in Newport. The location on Lake Memphremagog is wonderful peaceful, private, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. The house is bright, comfortable, and nicely updated, and we especially loved being able to spend time right by the water. It was also a great location for exploring Newport and the surrounding area while still having a quiet place to come back to at the end of the day. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

Property was beautiful. Check in time was late 5:00pm, we were able to change until 1:00pm which was very appreciative. Check out time to early 9:00am. The owner of home is very pleasant but does live/stay right next to the property.

The home was pristine when we arrived. All appliances are brand new. The host showed us around but otherwise left us alone. The house, views and lake were awesome. Lots of nice water toys- canoe, kayaks, paddle boards and plenty of life jackets. We had 3 generations and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The beach was perfect for the little ones. The photos did not accurately show the property. It was significantly better. Restaurants in the area were very good, especially Le Belvedere.

Amazing view. House was clean and warm, and is much larger than it looks from the main photo. We really enjoyed the updated kitchen and made good use of the new washer/dryers. Mike the host was excellent, and even made the garage available for us to park cars.

We love this Newport property! Our family has been vacationing here for 5 years and our children and grandchildren have many wonderful memories from our stays.The house is lovely, comfortable and well equipped and the location and views are spectacular! The closeness to Canada is an added feature, we’ve enjoyed exploring the nearby towns.Thanks Mike for making us feel so welcome, We’d all love to return!

Great place to stay !!

Very updated house on the lake. Better than what we expected. Beds were all comfortable and everything was clean. Owner lives next door,very friendly and accommodating. We loved being there.

Great Lake Vacation

The house was very nice and updated. Great place for our family of 6 + 1 small dog and our boat. The lake is beautiful and clean. Great for wakeboarding, tubing and fishing. Took a nice day trip to montreal as well.

Awesome place

Mike came through for us after a last-minute cancellation--a really great host. Comfortable and spacious house, wonderful property and breathtaking views. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

Family fun in sun, sand & water!

Amazing home - great layout, location & cleanliness; superior views of gorgeous lake all times of day; fantastic hard rippling SAND bottom off small access on right side of the property- minimal clams but enough for fun in picking up & putting on floats - activity for children & young at heart - plus easy in & out off Bluff Road.

beautiful and fun

my friends and i stayed at this house during the winter. we skied Jay Peak and ice fished. its a beautiful place right on the water and half hour from the mountain.

Property location is lovely. Owner responded to any concerns that were brought to his attention. Even though he lives next door, he was not at all intrusive.

Family vacation #4 at Newport house

We love everything about this house! The location and the view are spectacular, and the house accommodates our large group of 15 comfortably. It’s clean and equipped with everything we need. The outdoor space is incredible with a large lawn for the kids and a fire pit, and lots of water toys at our disposal. We have made so many wonderful memories at this property!

Very nice, recently renovated lake house

Property was exactly as shown on the site, right on the water, lovely views of the lake out the living room and kitchen windows. 5 bedroom layout worked well, beds were comfortable, linens spotless. Bonus points for having a leaf for the dining room table so all 9-10 of us could eat at the same table!

Great Stay

Great location, not far from Jay Peak. Down the road from all the stores, restaurants, etc. however far enough away to feel you are in the country. The view on the lake is beautiful. Hiking across the street. Very comfortable property. It must be spectacular in the summer!

Great stay for family get together

Location and house were great for our needs. We had a family get together to handle some difficult family business. This location was great as there was enough space for many to stay. Good shared spaces for family meetings and discussions, and nice quiet hideaways for some private time. The views of the lake were great and a nice recharge. Thank you.

Back to Newport

We had family in Newport growing up and came back to visit from different states after forty years away. Our time in Mike’s home was relaxing and convenient to all the places that we wanted to visit. The house is beautifully appointed, very spacious and right on the lake.

Great Week

We were in town for my son's wedding. Family from all around the country joined us for our stay at the house. The location was beautiful (right on the lake), and the house was perfect for our needs. Mike was very responsive to us whenever we needed to contact him. I would highly recommend this property.

Highly recommended.

The perfect location right on the shores of the lake with spectacular views. The house was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The outside included lawn furniture and a fire-pit. There were bikes, a kayak and a canoe. We plan to return!
