The hostess was quick to respond to questions and provided a very welcoming environment.We were able to check in a bit early, there was an endless supply of kitchen items, towels, cozy and inviting environment that made it feel like home away from home.We were gifted a beautiful local apple pie that was yummy and two bottles of wine.We were lucky to have our fur babies with us too.We had plenty of outdoor boating equipment to use,.Wonderful stay and very close to Canada Highly recommend

Great location

Beautiful view of the lake!! The house was super clean and very nicely decorated. Plenty of space for our family of 5 with room for relatives to come visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

Todds place was the perfect weekend getaway. It was cozy, warm and had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. The beds were comfy too. The house is immaculately clean. Todd is a wonderful host ! GHighlyrrrecommend

Weekend getaway

A nice weather forecast for the weekend led us to look for a place on the lake. We were fortunate to find this house at the last minute. The house was very clean, completely furnished and gave us a place near the water. We had a very pleasant weekend.

Here for Winter Swim event

It was cozy, clean and spacious. The kitchen was incredibly well-appointed. I can only imagine how amazing this spot is in the summer months!! Todd was very kind and welcoming and kept in great communication.

Relaxing week

We just got back from a week at this property. We were lucky enough to have great weather all week. Owners are very responsive and we were welcome to use their access to the lake, as well as their fire pit and canoe/kayak, etc. Cottage was exactly as pictured. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful lake house

Our trip was beautiful, relaxing, and completely seamless. Todd was a wonderful host and was extremely helpful and gracious. I visited with my family over Labor Day weekend and everything was great. The lake was right on the property and my family enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. The landscape in Newport is stunning too. Highly recommend this experience!

Fabulous lakefront getaway!!

Absolutely wonderful!! Great communication with the hosts, description was right on, just what we were looking for. Very quiet and remote location but easy to get to stores and restaurants. The house was very tidy, pretty roomy, beautifully decorated, really felt homey. The yard was great to play badminton and such. I loved that we could bring our dogs and enjoy the kayaks. I can’t rave about this place enough.

Vermont’s hidden gem

The accommodations were amazing! Plenty of room and activities in one of the most beautiful parts of the state. My family will be back to visit the area again soon. The property owner was great to deal with and very accommodating with local recommendations. Also unlike some of the horror stories you ready about (getting out to work around the property). His requests were very reasonable.

Definitely a place we will return to. Beautiful location. Home is fully equipped with everything that you will need. Big screen tv. Loved washer and dryer. Host are very friendly and accommodating. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

Beautiful lakefront cottage

You can kayak to Canada and back from here. Lovely property. Attentive hosts live just across the way. Fully equipped kitchen. Direct TV. Kayaks and canoe, Expensive but worth it.

derby vt

it was a very pleasant quiet setting near the lake. the owners were very responsive and helpful. Gave us ideas of where to go to eat in town. Did not use the deck by the water but owners were more than accomodating. Enjoyed our walks on the trails. House was well supplied with everything you might need. Would defiinitely stay there again.

Great Vacation House

This house was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there! The home was very clean and well-appointed, and the beds were super comfy. Our group included four adults and two children, and we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves.Todd, our host, was warm and welcoming—he made sure we had everything we needed. He also keeps the beach area spotless, which my granddaughters absolutely loved. We had access to kayaks, a canoe, and a pedal boat, which made our time by the lake even more fun.The yard was perfect for playing games, and the Adirondack chairs on the deck by the water were a great place to relax and unwind. We’re definitely coming back next year!

The location was beautiful, house was immaculate and our hosts were gracious and so accommodating. Todd and Tracy were so helpful before and during our stay. They were very available for our questions before, gave us excellent recommendations for walking, restaurants etc in the area. They were available during our stay but gave us our privacy. The house was absolutely clean and equipped with anything you might need, except the food itself. Kitchen fully equipped, grill in the back in a beautiful woodland setting, sunny porch in the front. The neighborhood is private and quiet, and so close to the town for dining, farmers market etc. We were very happy with our stay!

Long Weekend with Family

Our family stayed here for three nights in early April and we would definitely return! Todd is a wonderful host who was very kind and welcoming, and he quickly returned any email questions we had. It snowed shortly before we arrived and Todd made sure the deck was cleared off so we could sit by the water. The next day he brought out a canoe and paddles so we were able to get out on the lake, which is peaceful and beautiful. The only sounds we heard were birds and water lapping. The cottage itself is lovely: clean, comfortable, sunny, and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed, including a coffee grinder and plenty of dishes and glasses for all occasions. The beds are comfortable as well. It was a pleasure to stay here and we didn’t want to leave. We all hope to come back in the summer.

Pictures don’t do it justice

We loved staying at Todd’s place! The pictures of the house and property do not do it justice. The house is immaculately clean. It feels like a brand new house. The house is tastefully decorated and warm and cozy. The beds were super comfy as well as the bedding. The house is fully stocked with everything you could want or need. Check in was easy and Todd is quick to respond. The lake the house sits on is beautiful and so peaceful. My family and I loved hiking the wild life conservation trail across the street. Wow was it ever so stunning! My kid’s loved being in “two places at once” on the trail… Canada and the US. The town is adorable. We enjoyed grabbing dinner near downtown and visiting the farmers market. We will definitely be back!
