Seaside villa Hoopoe in Marathon-the garden is what separates you from the beach
Escape to villa Hoopoe-a stunning seaside villa perfect for families or friends. Wake up to breathtaking sea views and enjoy direct access to a sandy beach. Relax in the peace and tranquility of the villa's beautiful garden and spacious lawn.
The pine trees surrounding the house are 200 years old and can be found only in Schinias and Skiathos island, in Greece also. The house is situated 200 meters from the Greek national rowing center which is an opportunity for nice walks by the river full of rare birds and ducks. The house belongs in a protected area by the law "Natura 2000" that applies only to places of rare beauty.
The villa has three bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and a guest WC. 8 people can sleep in the house, 2 in each of the rooms and 2 in Murphy's beds. Linen, towels, sea towels, shampoos, and hair dryer, are all provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and the terrace has seating for 8 people.
There are beach famous beach bars 200-300 meters away from the house, where water skiing, surfing boards, bananas and canoeing can be enjoyed.
The house is situated in the historic Marathon area, actually only 5 kilometers away from the Marathon battlefield and tomb and the Marathon museum. 5 kilometers away, is also the start of the Marathon Run. 6 kilometers away is the Intriguing Sanctuary of the Egyptian Gods. Ramnous archaeological site where you can find the statue of Nemesis is 12 kilometers away.
The center of Athens, the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the Plaka are only 38 kilometers away, so a visit there is very convenient and a must.
Rafina port is 25 kilometers away, so daily or 2 to 3 day cruises can be organized to the Cyclades islands (Mykonos, Andros, Tinos, Santorini ) or the island of Evoia.

I'm proud to be Greek, I enjoy having guests in my house because, as most Greeks, I enjoy hospitality. I believe I have an exceptional house since it is situated just 30meters from the sea and it's surrounded by a huge, mostly lawn covered garden. I like to share my home's wonderful setting and amazing all day views with people all over the world, because joy and blessings should be shared. I love swimming in Schinias sea because is very friendly, clean and warm. I like sports and I enjoy being with good people. I devour good food(and in Greece there is plenty), and I relax listening to music. I'm a perpetual student at coursera and udemy.

All in one! This property combines luxurious setting with amazing and relaxing views. It gives you the choice to stay at home and not miss anything since the beach is right infront, the beach bars and restaurants are 250 meters away(everything walking distance, the house is very pleasant and private(eventhough only 30meters from the beach). If you want to change setting and enjoy a little sightseeing, everything is nearby as well. The whole place is historical. Upon request, I will provide detailed information about everything interesting in the surrounding area, nearby local fish restaurants aand points of interest included.
