Top notch. If there's a better host than Isaia in Atrani / Amalfi coast, I'm going to need to experience it to believe it. He took incredibly great care of our team for weeks before we arrived all the way through departure. A never ending resource for reservations, bookings, ideas, and connections. It allowed us to live more like locals and avoid some of the usual tourist pitfalls. Fantastic apartment, great location, steps from the square and the beach but just far enough away from Amalfi to avoid the crowds. It was the perfect homebase for exploring the entire coast. Isaia will be my first call when we plan our return trip. Six out of five stars.

We had the most amazing stay at Casa Lauritania. Isaia is a wonderful host who was so responsive to our every need and gave us the best recommendations for things to do while in Atrani. Staying in Atrani was ideal - it is so beautiful but not as crowded and the beach is nice fine black sand. It is a quick walk to Amalfi. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to enjoy the Amalfi coast!

Beautiful, clean, and well-maintained apartment. Atrani is a charming and quiet little town a 10-minute walk from Amalfi (a charming, but busy town).

Wonderful apartment! Great location! Easy access to the hub bub of Amalfi but so nice to come back to quiet Atrani. Our daughter counted and there are 79 stairs from street level to top terrace. Plenty of towels and nice linens. A/C and washer work well.

The bells are one of the expressions of the history of Atrani. They are part of the Church of San Salvatore de’ Birecto in which was crowned the Duke of the Ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi and where still today September 1 is re-evoking the Byzantine New Year with the attribution of the recognition of Duke to a prominent personality level international .The custom of talking from one window to another takes us back in time when there was no phone, but it was still essential to communicate. These and other elements make Atrani unique because it is able to offer tourists that human dimension that wants to find in a time of relaxation, far from frenetic and stressful rhythms. Atrani is this and my apartment, typical vertical construction of the eleventh century. offers these emotions. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express them!

lovely apartment in charming town

We really enjoyed our week here. The apartment is on five levels (stairs are not too difficult) and while only a few steps from the main square is very quiet and private. Facilities are all adequate, and outdoor space is wonderful. Maddalena is a charming host, always gets in touch quickly. Atrani is an oasis along the busy coastline, and this residence is a perfect reflection of that. We are already planning to come back!

Best spot in Amalfi Coast!

We loved staying in the quiet village of Atrani! Casa Lauritano was in the perfect location, walkable to several restaurants and an easy walk to Amalfi for exploring or hopping on a ferry or bus. The house itself was perfect, very spacious and spectacular evening views! It has a ton of character. Isaia and Linda were so helpful before and throughout our stay with very regular communication, along with assistance with rides, excursions, and even restaurant recommendations. The house had everything we needed and if we ever came back to the Amalfi Coast, this is where we would stay!

We were two couples in our late 60s who stayed for 5 nights. The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Yes there are stairs but this is the Amalfi Coast - they are a fact of life that you get used to. The location just off the square was very convenient to the shops and restaurants. Our hosts, Isaia and Linda, were extremely responsive and helpful, making any and all arrangements requested, answering questions and providing recommendations. We can’t say enough about the apartment or our hosts.Amalfi is less than10 minutes walk from Atrani. We went to and from many times. We also went to Ravello, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Minori and Capri. Would recommend them all.

Great seaside village!

We enjoyed out stay at Maddalena's apartment! Maddelena greeted us upon our arrival with a lovely bottle of wine for our 10th Wedding anniversary. We found the apartment just as expected from the photos online. We ate most of our meals in the town square that was located at the bottom of the stairs...very convenient!! The public transportation was very close to the apartment as well as several small grocery stores. We would definitely recommend Maddalena's apartment for your visit to the Amalfi Coast.

A perfectly authentic and comfortable experience, Casa Lauritano was the highlight of our Italian holiday. The rooms are beautiful with high ceilings and great air conditioning. The kitchen and living space are spacious, well furnished and decorated in beautiful tiles. Outside there are a total of 3 different areas where you can sit and enjoy the view of the sea and the moon and stars at night. We highly recommend you contact Isaia in advance to set up a private in home dining experience or if you have any questions about getting to Atrani. He and his contacts are all incredibly helpful and responsive, a huge comfort when staying in a country where you are not fluent in their language. If you are looking for an intimate or romantic getaway, this is the perfect location!

Amazing Location On The Amalfi Coast

This unique and comfortable apartment is located in the town of Atrani just around the corner from Amalfi. The apartment is spacious, has a lot of room and comfortable. There are several terraces that have incredible views of the town and buildings around. A stay in this apartment gives you the feeling like you are part of the neighbourhood! Canaries singing, church bells ringing and the ladies chatting in Italian makes your stay here so authentic. You can easily walk to Amalfi, take busses to other areas, hike up and down the trails and enjoy good food in the town square. The hosts of this apartment are very helpful and friendly! We could recommend this apartment to those wanting a unique experience!

Loved Atrani

We loved our stay in a Atrani. The apartment is right in the center of town, with several restaurants close by, our favorite was Savo. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the two outside decks. We would have coffee in the morning on the lower deck and a glass of wine at night on the upper deck.The bed was comfortable, it was nice to have a washing machine, snd the shower worked very well. It was a easy walk to Amalfi, through the tunnel with only a few steps on the road. We took local buses to Positano, Ravello and a boat trip back from Positano. Maddalena was great hostess offering suggestions for our time on the Amalfi Coast.

Atrani Tower House

Great host, exceptional communication. Host helped setup private transportation via cab + private boat services with local skippers. Hot water didn’t work day 1, but it was quickly resolved. Cons - Stairs, stairs, stairs. FYI you have to turn the hot tub on in the morning for it to be warm that evening, it’s a very slow heating process + it sits low so the wall blocks the view to the sea when you actually sit down.

Incredible home and location!

Atrani ended up being our favorite place to visit, and a lot of it had to do with the amazing place we had to stay. The views from both of the decks were just unbelievable. The beach access was amazing. It must have only taken us 4 minutes to get to the beach from our front door. The next beach over, Lido di Ravello, was our favorite though. The kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed to cook dinner. We loved feeling like we were getting to see the real small coastal Italian village. The local produce was so good, we wanted to stay there forever. If all the places we stayed, this was our favorite. The host was so sweet and helpful as well. It was so easy to walk to Amalfi or catch a ferry to another town like Positano. We enjoyed being away from the crowds. I am missing this place already!

Casa Lauritano is an excellent choice on the Amalfi coast.

First I must say that Isaia was excellent at helping us not only reserve Casa Lauritano but also provided us with so much useful information as we planned our stay in Atrani. He also arranged our transportation to and from the Naples airport and a trip to Pompeii. Isaia and his partner Linda were very responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. They helped us with everything from transportation changes to shopping suggestions and restaurant recommendations. The house is beautiful and the pictures are accurate. You can feel the history of the community throughout the house but it has all the modern amenities you would hope for and was a very comfortable place for our 8 day visit. The linens and towels were top notch and the unit has a washer so you can pack a little lighter and do a load mid-stay. The included breakfast is in the form of “Tickets” that are redeemable for a wonderful breakfast at one of the cafes on the square. We had excellent service from Carolina every morning. There are several other restaurants on the square and each was great. We frequently got an evening coffee and drinks at Caffe Vittoria and by the end of the week felt like regulars. Amalfi was an easy walk so you can have all of that tourist experience and shopping and then come back to the calm and quiet of Atrani. Also, both the Amalfi beach and the Ravello beach on the other side of Atrani are stone while the Atrani beach is black sand so the most comfortable.

Lovely apartment literally 1 min from Piazza Umberto Primo. Maddalena was very good with email comms, then WhatsApp (those using HomeAway, be careful as the default mobile number is with a US code so you can’t ring her unless you change that). The apartment was huge for me alone - it would be great for a couple, not perhaps as much for a family as the children’s room is literally above the double bedroom, so there’s no privacy. But that’s only a problem if it’s a problem for your family. There’s only one bathroom with a shower - and a WC where there’s a washing machine. The living room is huge and the terraces are lovely. Kitchen was well equipped and comfortable to use. Maddalena even set up a Christmas tree for me. If you are a light sleeper you may not like the church bells ringing - I woke up to them at 3am and 4am (that’s it) but it seems like they ring every 15 min every hour - do potentially a tough one. As I said, I only heard twice. I didn’t hear a peep from neighbours. Atrani seemed deserted, I hardly saw anyone in town. The only feedback I gave Maddalena was about the towel - it was way too small for an adult. It was almost face-towel or hand-towel size. For a woman with long hair, not great. I couldn’t even tie it around my body, and I am a size 8. If my husband or son had been in it would have looked like a handkerchief next to them. I read previous feedback saying this too, which is why I am recording it here (no point giving feedback if no one acts on it).

Beautiful, breath taking stay!

We stayed at Maddalena's property on the last leg of our honeymoon in Italy. It was truly breath taking to arrive at this property. Between the coral pillars, and 3 tiered outdoor patio, this place was a dream. Yes, a stairs are involved but not actually as many as I thought there would be. We had an interesting time getting to the property from the SITA bus from Salerno but Maddalena was flexible in communicating with us to greet us upon arrival. Thank you!!

AMAZING and Quiet Retreat on the Amalfi Coast

We stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. After traveling through tourist filled Venice and Rome this place was a welcome oasis. In addition to the beautiful roof top deck, it's location in the small town of Atrani is ideal. We were able to relax and enjoy this quiet town and the beautiful beach, but it was just about a 5-10 minute walk if we wanted the touristy hustle and bustle of Amalfi. After visiting places like Positano and Amalfi it was wonderful to go back to this relaxing space. I would definitely recommend it!

Quiet retreat

My wife and i have have been travelling to Amalfi and Atrani for 4 years. We have stayed at several wonderful properties. This property is the best of all those where we have stayed. When we first traveled to Amalfi I had no idea where to stay, what town to be in , travel convenience, etc. I wish I knew then about this home. If this is your first trip stop looking, you will not find a better combination of location, beautiful home and a wonderful and responsive owner. Maddalena was an absolute pleasure to work with. She met us in the piazza and took us to the home which is only one flight of steps from the piazza. The home was clean and extremely well stocked for cooking. The decks were perfect for morning or evening dining. also great for sitting in the sun. The photos do not do justice to the home. While there are stairs ion the home they are not an issue . The location is ideal. The piazza quiet but full of life late into the evening, some of the best restaurants on the Amalfi coast are in Atrani. The public and private beaches are just outside the piazza, the people in the cafes' could not be nice. I can recommend this property without hesitation ; we will return next summer.
