Charming 3-bedroom waterfront home on Monkey Island next to Shangri La Resort. Sitting on a private 1 acre lot with plenty of room and privacy. Beautifully appointed with everything you need for a family vacation or a quick weekend of golf. The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a cozy living room and modern kitchen. Outside you will enjoy the spacious 1 acre lot site with over 120' of waterfront in a beautiful protected cove. There is a dock with a private guest slip (10' x 24'). Enjoy the large covered deck with outdoor dining, grill and 8-person hot tub.

A 4-person golf cart is provided complimentary during your stay to access all that Monkey Island and Shangri La have to offer. Many restaurants are accessible by golf cart including many popular ones at Shangri La resort.

Master Bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and ensuite shared bathroom.
Bedroom 3 has a queen bed with an additional twin loft bunk and ensuite shared bathroom.
The living room couch is a large sectional which is both new, comfortable and extremely large.
The kitchen includes all of the basics one might need for the trip.
Filled additional propane tanks are stored in our garage.
40W fast charging outlet is provided in our garage for guests with an electric car. This charger generally provides a full charge overnight (7-12 hours depending on the vehicle in general). This is a Nema 14-50 receptacle which is 240V - 50A.

Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM.

Larger boat slips are available for rent at the Landings or Shangri La Marina. The Shangri La Marina has a company that rents both PWC, ski boats and pontoon boats www.sailgrand.com. They also have a 60'+ Bluewater yacht which is available for 4 hour cruises for special events and large groups.

If you are new to Monkey Island at Grand Lake, the area is home to the Shangri La Resort and Golf Club. Amenities include the 27-hole golf course, 18-hole Battlefield Par-3 course, multiple fine and casual dining options, The Anchor - a large family recreational center with indoor / outdoor sports & games complete with a sports bar + kitchen. The Shangri La Marina is a full-service marina (including boat and PWC rentals).

This property is located near the tip of Monkey Island on a small quiet cove. Not only will you enjoy all the activities of staying in a fine home on the water but also the comforts and activities of this resort community. Whether you want to catch the game while sipping a cold beer overlooking the water at Eddies, head out for a night of live music on the decks at Shebangs, or hit a round of golf while the children sleep in, our home provides comforts that many have not experienced before during a lake vacation. We know you will enjoy.

Great Bachelorette Weekend

We had 7 girls stay for a bachelorette trip and had an absolute blast. The house had anything and everything you could need, access to golf cart, dock for our boat, and the host was very responsive when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice place.

4.5 out of 5 Overall a very nice and comfortable place. Soft beds with plenty of blankets and pillows. The house is well stocked with just about everything you need. There was some trash that wasn't cleaned up when we arrived. Also, the front porch and back deck could really use a wipe down or spray off. Completely covered in bug debris. Otherwise, a great place to stay. No real complaints.

Great location and space

The house was a perfect fit for my family. The layout with the large open concept was great. Our favorite thing was the huge living room windows overlooking the lake. The brand new grill showed up while we were there. It worked great and the communication with the owner about it was fantastic! The golf cart was awesome when we wanted to split ways and was only a 7 minute golf cart drive to Shangri-la! A couple things I didn’t like was not having blinds over the doors leading outside in the bedrooms, and the master bedroom didn’t have an accessible closet to hang our clothes. I also wish there was a kayak or paddle boat for the kids to play on but obviously that’s just a preference and the other items aren’t deal breakers. The house was well stocked on anything we needed and we loved the indoor and outdoor spaces. We’ll be back!

Sweet lake house

We loved staying here, it was great to have the golf cart close to everything we wanted to do. They do need a new grill and may need to clean around deck before guests arrive, hot tub was great!

Monkey Island Home

The home location, boat slip access and golf cart really made this a great stay for our family. Easy lake access for our boat. The golf cart was icing on the cake to enjoy the local eats.

Great Place for whole family!

Wonderful house with all the amenities. Golf cart was handy to drive down to the marina and activities. Outside needs some clean up and new grill. Overall great place will stay again!

Perfect weekend get away

It was my husband’s birthday and my friends and I took my husband to celebrate his 70TH on the lake. We had a great time. The house was perfect. Fantastic location. The only negative is we wished we could have gotten the side by side to work. (That could have been on us….) Everything else was wonderful and everyone was so nice in the neighborhood and at the restaurants. We are excited to go back! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place.

Perfect Monkey Island location

Stayed with 5 buddies on a golf trip. Everyone was comfortable. We loved the location and golf cart which allowed us to get everywhere we needed to go! The house is perfect for relaxing and the large table on the deck was great for us to be able to eat and recap the day. We will be back!

Great location, Beautiful views!

Great house! The golf cart was great to go down for dinner at The Anchor and let the kids play games. We docked our boat, and was in good condition. Kids liked the hot tub. Loved sitting in the outside chairs with the beautiful views!

Girls Trip

We had a great time staying in Monkey Island, our house was great! The owner was accomadating as was the person that did the cleaning. We had a great time with the golf carts. We had a birthday and used the Island Time bus service, Jason was our driver he took great care of us. About the only thing I would suggest is to update the Weber grill or least refurbish it.

Perfect for family

Our family loved this place! The dock was perfect for fishing and hanging out. We experienced a storm that left tree limbs on the house and in the yard. The owner had a crew come over the following day to clean up. We would stay here again!

Birthday Celebration Party

Owner is very quick to respond and take care of needs. We ran out of propane during stay and it was handled very quickly. Great location, boat ramp very close, plenty of parking on property (boat trailer too), plenty of towels, plenty of dishes, space to spread out and good size kitchen. We did feel like it needs a little more detail cleaning. The garage fridge doesn’t cool at all, but the freezer worked great in it. The back door handle needs some attention too. The slip at the dock isn’t usable but the side of the dock worked great. We would stay here again. Overall, it worked for us beautifully for our needs.

Thanksgiving Retreat

Our family of several generations gathered for Thanksgiving 2021 at this beautiful getaway location overlooking the lake. The space was perfect for family gathering, and despite the cold, we were able to go on walks, have family firepit nights roasting marshmallows, and game nights at the large table on the patio. Everything that you need and more is there. The kids had a ping pong tournament, and adults enjoyed visiting. We did have a problem with the furnace, but the owner's response was immediate and all worked out just fine! Great property!

Great location

It was a great location inside of the house was nice and clean however the outside of the house needs attention there were cobwebs and dust all over the back deck and the boat slip. The boat slip was the worst part it also had a loose board that my 13yr old son actually fell through the dock because he stepped on that board and it flipped up

Close to Sail Grand Waterfront boat rental

Great home for families who are renting a boat. Home with own boat dock making easy for stops back to house. Wonderfully stocked kitchen and new appliances for cooking your own meals. We really enjoyed the views from living area and deck onto the lake.

This home should not be rented out

The front and rear of the property was in poor shape. It looked as though no one had stayed there in awhile. The dock was coming apart on the right side and there were spider webs all over the outside of the back porch snd boat dock and front door. The ants were rampant on the grass and the lawn chairs we couldn’t even sit . the coffee maker didn’t work and the refrigerator was full of the owners food. We had to call the owner to get the grill cleaned as it looked as though no one had used it in a year. The fridge in the garage for our use would not cool below 50 degrees and had mold all in the upper part . The garage was filthy where the ping pong table was . There were bugs in the kitchen drawers . The owner needs to do a thorough repair and cleaning of this home. The front snd back yard only had mowed weeds and no grass . I would not recommend this property to anyone

When we are not at the Lake we enjoy being in New York City, Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Cabo! We hope you enjoy the experience of Monkey Island as much as we do. It has always provided the much needed "break from reality" where flip-flops, cold drinks, sunsets and conversations rule the day!

Location, location, location. This home is accessible by boat or golf cart to everyone we want to do including dinner, golf, drinks, sunset rides/walks/cruises, and even groceries. You really feel that you get away when you stay here.

We performed an extensive remodel of the home when we purchased it. You will enjoy a home that contains most of todays modern amenities and finishes. We like to stay in places on vacation that remind us of home or a place we would like to own - I like to believe this home will do that for you. From the back deck dining table for 12, the ping pong table in the garage to the 8 person hot tub on our deck overlooking the water, we have put together a property that is a blast to stay in. The home was repainted both on the exterior and interior in 2021. In 2022 our dock was re-wired and outfitted with new lights and plugs which can be turned on and off from the dock or the house. In 2022 we had new string lights and in our back yard to help create the right mood at night - these are located inside of the home. In 2022 we had a mosquito misting system installed on the property and it treats the dock, the back yard, the side yards and the front porch. It operates on short cycles in the middle of the night and we have found it to be highly effective at reducing bug and mosquitos in our yard! We work hard to keep our home in excellent condition and are constantly replacing older items and thinking of new things to stock for guests.
