El Mercado Agrícola y el Casco Antiguo están a solo 15 minutos a pie. El apartamento cuenta con cocina totalmente equipada y wifi de alta velocidad en todo el establecimiento. Ubicado en la parroquia de São Pedro, en pleno corazón de la ciudad, es una de las zonas favoritas para alojarse en Funchal.

Excellent stay

The owner Jorge was excellent and went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable The apartment was very clean and handy for the center of funchall 10 minutes walk to the sea front and restaurants and shop's There is a slight uphill walk back to the apartment but we are in our 80 ts and found it ok Would highly recommend it Barbara and Brian

Barbara and her husband were very nice guests, all worked perfectly starting with the communication till the end of their stay, in summary everything was perfect throughout the whole stay. Barbara and Brian are very friendly and polite. The flat was left clean and perfect condition. Definitely recommendable guests to other hosts. Appartement super bien situé dans Funchal, tout peut se faire à pied une fois le véhicule garé. La place de parking réservée avec la location se situe dans un parking souterrain , à 3 minutes à pied du logement, et de là, on rejoint très facilement les axes routiers pour les visites sur l'ile de Madère. C'est un vrai plus !Logement propre, fonctionnel.Quartier calme tout en étant proche de tout.Communication très facile avec Jorge malgré notre anglais et portugais défaillant; tout a été fluide. L'accueil a été assuré par sa collaboratrice, qui était super sympa et très réactive également. Nous recommandons cet appartement sans modération !

Der Check-in und die Kommunikation verlief zu Beginn gut bis sehr gut. Es gab zu Beginn ein paar kleine Probleme, die seitens des Vermieter schnell und zufriedenstellend gelöst wurden. Wir waren jedoch schnell unzufrieden mit dem Apartment im Allgemeinen aufgrund des mangelnden Tageslichts (insbesondere im Vergleich zu den Fotos im Inserat, die es viel heller erscheinen lassen als in der Realität), der Qualität der Betten und dass es nicht beheizbar war. Insbesondere die Dunkelheit drinnen trotz sonnigem Wetter draußen war sehr enttäuschend und wir haben uns von den Fotos im Inserat getäuscht gefühlt. Für uns hat das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis daher nicht gepasst.Nach unserer Beschwerde dazu, hat der Vermieter uns freundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass er nur positive Bewertungen für dieses Apartment hat, er uns daher nicht helfen kann und wir uns für eine Lösung an VRBO/Fewo-Direkt wenden sollten. Dort bat man uns dann um Fotos zur internen Analyse. Die haben wir geschickt, mit dem Hinweis darauf, dass es nicht möglich ist, die Qualität einer Matratze oder die kalte Innentemperatur fotographisch festzuhalten. Es wurde uns von beiden Seiten keinerlei Verständnis entgegen gebracht und keine finanzielle Lösung angeboten. Vielmehr wurde der Eindruck erweckt, dass wir das Problem exklusiv haben, weil sich bislang niemand beschwert hat. Wir haben das Apartment nach 3 von geplanten 10 Nächten enttäuscht verlassen und nur noch zum Wäsche waschen benutzt.

Hi Jörg and I am sorry you didn’t enjoy the apartment. Nevertheless I will clarify all the aspects. - Daylight: The apartment have the same light as on the advert (despite I tried to explain) daylight may differ depending time of the year/weather conditions. Your visit was at winter and weather during (most of your stay) was very rainy, very cloudy and event some severe alerts were issued, the few better days you weren't at the apartment. - Mattress: In 2 of the major platforms for rentals, the remarks of previous guests says the opposite (very good) comfort. The mattress/topper are 1 year old but it can’t be at your taste. - Climatization: On the advert is referred there is no AC, Madeira winter is very mild but sometimes can be humid, is an island and the very rainy weather didn't helped at all but it is a punctual situation. - Price: You visited Funchal at the highest point of the year (Christmas and Réveillon) for sure you choose my place for the price/reviews (also for sure you saw other places) and all of then have in common was the higher price for that location. When I mentioned the classification 9,4 in 10 (max.10) and 4,9 (max.5) at the 2 major platforms, says the opposite. Also in both platforms remarks of previous guests are very positive. I even told you to complaint at Portuguese Authority, as Vrbo wasn't attending to your complaints. if they were valid they will issued a refund. This situation was my first time in 10 years and I hope the last.

Madeira holiday - November 2022

We rented this property for three weeks in November 2022. The apartment was nothing short of perfect for our needs. It comes equipped with all the necessary dishes, pots, cutlery and glassware. There is also a washing machine that we used for doing our laundry during the stay. The small balcony is perfect for having your coffee in the morning or glass of wine at pretty much any time of the day. 😉 The location is great, 5 min. max of walking to downtown, shopping and a large number of restaurants. The parking garage is also a few minutes of walking away. We walked pretty much everywhere in Funchal. Checking in and out was very easy. Jorge, the owner, was very quick to answer phone calls and/or messages. He was proactive contacting us and providing useful information that we greatly appreciated. Thank you again, Jorge! We will return to Madeira and most likely rent the very same property!

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit optimaler Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und gut ausgestattet (massive Möbel, echter Holzboden, super Kuchenausstattung). Die Lage ist perfekt um Funchal zu erkunden und liegt direkt in der Altstadt. Wir haben einen festen Stellplatz in einer Tiefgarage vom Vermieter bekommen, die wenige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ist. Das war sehr hilfreich und erspart einem die Suche nach einem Parkplatz. Check-In und Check-Out waren mit dem Vermieter persönlich. Die Absprachen dafür waren sehr gut und leicht. Er war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und hat uns einige Tips gegeben. Die Küche war schon mit Kaffee, Tee, Wasser, Saft, frischen Brötchen und Marmelade für uns ausgestattet. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dieser Wohnung.

Logement agréable

Le logement est très bien situé, en plein cœur de Funchal. Nous avons été très bien accueillies par Cristina (amie de Jorge). Le logement était très propre est très commode, parfait pour notre séjour de 2 semaines. La place de parking proposée est un peu éloignée du logement (5 minutes à pieds) mais Cristina nous a bien expliquée comment s'y rendre. Nous recommandons ce logement pour vos vacances à Madère.

Ferien in der Casa da Calcada - Wohnung 1

Nach einer ausführlichen Einführung durch den freundlichen Vermieter haben wir uns im Quartier sehr wohl gefühlt. Soweit es das Wetter Ende April 2017 erlaubte haben wir den kleinen Balkon genossen, um zu frühstücken oder abends ein Glas Wein zu trinken. Die zentrale Lage und die reichhaltigen kulturellen und kulinarischen Angebote in unmittelbarer Nähe wussten wir zu schätzen. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war der Verkehrslärm frühmorgens und abends. B.und E. location right in the heart of funchal it was clean and spacious well equipt and a great host

funchal at new year was the best ever we have been before and we will be going back this year the apartment was excellent location and clean the owner of the apartment was very nice and very helpful lots to do and see and plenty of shopping its heaven on earth cant wait for next new year I will be spending it in funchal

Great!

Untouched but nearly burned down in the recent fires his flat is perfectly located to enjoy a city style stay in Funchal. Minutes from everything, and super neat and well maintained. A great spot!
