Join us in Philipsburg at the Burg Yurt perched above our cozy historical town. With incredible views of the valley and surrounding mountains, you can enjoy all of the scenery and even wildlife from our large deck overlooking the town. Centrally located just minutes walking distance to main street where you can enjoy, shopping, gem mining, great local restaurants, homemade candy, hand crafted beer, and much more!



The Space:

Amazing 30 foot Diameter 4 season Yurt. Natural gas heating stove Full Kitchen. On demand Hot Water for multiple showers. Great views overlooking Philipsburg and Winninghoff Park/Ice rink. Two block walk to heart of Downtown Philipsburg. Sleeps up to 7. Bedroom with Queen, Loft with Full and 2 Twin beds, and fold out Memory Foam Queen Couch. Huge Deck, BBQ, and Large Yard. 30 minutes to Discovery Basin ski area, 20 minutes to Rock Creek, 15 minutes to Georgetown lake.



Yurt is clean and has great wow factor. Perfect for families with kids, or a group of couples, and remote work stays with included wifi.

Really fun Yurt

Mother / Daughter trip to find gems. The Yurt is walking distance to downtown. From the deck it is a fantastic view of mountains, the town, and sunsets.

Wonderful stay with a Wonderful View

Our Curling club along with a few others hosted a Bonspiel in Philipsburg, our 3rd annual. The location of this rental, cleanliness and comfortable layout make it a must stay for anyone traveling to the area. Thank you again for being wonderful hosts with a well kept, well stocked rental property in the greatest little town in Montana.

Rented unit as my granddaughter was getting married in the area. Property was exceptionally clean. as we are both close to 80 years old there were a few things those our age might find useful. 1. If you HAVE to have tv (we don't) it is up the ladder in the loft.2. Bathroom shower is small and shower door opens at an angle so those with mobility issues may find it awkward. 3. Toilet is low 14-15" off the floor. ADA compliant toilets are 17-21", There are no safety bars to assist in sitting or getting up. 4. Kitchen was great everything was clean, well-organized and cooking was a pleasure.5. I did not see a hairdryer listed there was one in the bathroom if needed. Listening to the rain, hearing the thunder and lightning on the yurt was great. Even had a helicopter land at the hospital down the block. The local bar down the hill had live music on Friday and Saturday nights which we listened to sitting on the deck. The local Pizza parlor delivered great pizza with 20 minutes of our order too.

Pburg Trip

This was my second time staying in the Burg Yurt. My family and I enjoyed the unique rental, excellent views, and charming town. The yurt was a nice resting place after spending our days exploring beautiful Montana.

Fabulous yurt

We enjoyed our stay in a fun and unique lodging. The yurt had everything we needed to be comfortable. It also had many unexpected accommodations like games and movies for fun if there was ever a dull moment during our stay. We look forward to future stays here.

Pburg Yurt

The Yurt is a rare find. The views from the deck are amazing. Great communication with the owner, and easy check-in process. I would definitely stay at the Yurt again.

Enjoyable and relaxing stay!

Comfortable and clean place with many amenities. Games and movies for kids, loft space was ideal! Ice rink was right out the back door and many places were walkable from the yurt. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. I highly recommend this place to stay. We will be back!

Great communication. Had planned a multi day stay but last minute had to make a change. They were understanding and allowed me to make the change with no penalty. Will definitely book again next time we come to town.

Amazing family fun!

This was the perfect place to stay for a family ski trip to Discovery. While it is a 30 minute drive to the ski resort, it is such a fun little town and the yurt was perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the loft and the master bed was super comfy. The kitchen and common area set up are plenty roomy and the location just up the hill from the community ice rink was perfect. BTW - the ice rink is free and even provides skates of all sizes at no charge. Come check this place out - just not on the same dates that we want to be there next :-).

Burg Yurt

Oh wow! Perfect place for a 34th Wedding Annivarsary! We just love this little town and go there alot as we ski at Disco! Eric was fantastic with communication which is huge....We would both highly recommend this wonderful unique property! Thank you so much....Joe and Kristin

So much more space than expected, and so clean and nice

This was our 6th visit to Pburg, and our first in the yurt. It was so much more spacious than expected. The 4 of us were very comfortable, and the location is awesome. We were able to walk to downtown easily, and of course the ice rink was right below us 😊 Also stayed toasty warm, even though it was quite a cold weekend.

Wonderful spot to stay! Walking distance to Main St. Deck was perfect! Great view and close to Gem Mountain Sapphires and a mining Ghost town! We will definitely stay here again next time!

Montana experience

We had such a wonderful stay. It is so beautiful and so close to so many activities. We even had a hailstorm, which was an experience in itself. Plan on coming back sometime!

My wife and I are Native Montanan's, Mary grew up in Philipsburg and her family has been in the area since the late 1800's. We wanted a place that we could use but also a place for friends, family and vacationing folks could stay. We live in Missoula - about 80 miles from Philipsburg but spend most of our free time around the area. My wife's parents still live in town so we have a local contact.

We have owned this property for almost 30 years and decided to build a Yurt on the property as an alternative to building a small home. It allows us some flexibility and we think they are amazing and unique structures. It has a large deck space that overlooks the town and ice rink. We think it is a great location, with an easy walk downtown to shop, have a beer at the brewery, grab some food or just hang out.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Most folks have never stayed in a Yurt and we think it is a unique experience that people will really enjoy, being able to watch a lightning storm through the dome or watch the stars is a really fun feature. The Yurt also allowed us to build a very efficient space. It is Only heated fully when occupied so all the plumbing is contained in a small space that is very efficient to heat when the Yurt is not Occupied.
