The penthouse view was absolutely stunning- loved watching the wave action and turtles swimming back and forth, sometimes startling swimmers above them! Enjoyed eating out on the lanai and kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our time there- wished we could have stayed longer!!

This was our 3rd stay at this resort since 2021. This last visit exceeded our expectations, this room is absolutely beautiful, the view is like no other, it’s the best we’ve experienced on Maui. The owner/host was always available is you have any questions both prior to and during your visit, everything went well, no issues. This is probably one of the best locations on Kaanapali Beach, you can’t get any closer to the ocean. Whalers Village is right next door, this resort has a private pass through gate that gives you quick access to the Village, the ABC store is just about a 2 minute walk. This Condo is huge, the outdoor lanai is larger than most hotel rooms, plus plenty of chairs and tables. The washer and dryer are a big plus. The kitchen is fully equipped with every type of cooking equipment and utensils. I think we spent more time out on the lanai than anywhere else, especially at sunset. We would definitely stay againHighly recommended..!!

Amazing beach view. The host was very communicative and quick to respond. He was willing to adjust our dates last minute, and he allowed us to check out late, which we really appreciated since we were traveling with two kids.Unfortunately, we did run into several issues with cleanliness. The toilets and bathroom floors were dirty enough that we cleaned them ourselves upon arrival. Some of the bathroom towels were dirty and needed to be washed immediately. We also found trash and used cereal bowls underneath the beds. The mat in the master bathroom shower appeared to have mold or buildup underneath it, and when the water was turned on, black flakes would come loose. We also encountered cockroaches in the kitchen drawers and inside the oven.On the positive side, the carpets and couches seemed very clean, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. However, it was actually stocked to the point that there was very little empty cabinet space for our own groceries. We’ve stayed in other units at The Whaler that left some cabinet space available for guests, which we definitely preferred.The TV/cable also didn’t really work, even after following the instructions we were given. I was able to get the VHS player working, but not the regular TV/cable.The view and location are the highlight of this unit. However, given the premium price, we expected the cleanliness and overall condition of the unit to match. We felt like the premium was for the view rather than the quality.

Great Family Stay and Great View and Location!

Older unit, but updated bathrooms and comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful owner. Can’t beat the view or the location. Walking distance to everything. We had a great stay and would definitely love to come again!

Wonderful host and spectacular accommodations and location

Gordon was nothing less than a pleasure to work with and extremely flexible. The accommodations are spectacular with a wonderful family feel and home like environment. The views are absolutely amazing.

Stunning Views/ Amazing Location

This was the most wonderful place for us to stay with our two college kids. Right on the beach, steps to Whalers Village, with the most incredible deck overlooking the coastline. The sunsets were amazing. Hope we are lucky enough to be able to come back to this beautiful penthouse in the future.

Great Condo - Beautiful View

This is a very comfortable condo with beautiful views of the ocean and Black Rock. It has everything needed for either a short or extended stay. The owner was very easy to contact and made sure we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely rent this property again.
