Second time staying here and it’s just as good as the first! Clean and peaceful. Thoughtfully touches such as snacks, and plenty of towels which is surprisingly not common in these rentals!

Great place to relax and enjoy the local area (Jefferson downtown and Caddo Lake). House is remote and feels very private. Very clean and lots of special touches like snacks, water, and toiletries provided. Host was very responsive and helped us with a special request. Big TV’s in every room. Didn’t do any cooking in, but pots and pans looked to be in good condition. Washer and dryer were new and large (detergent provided). Overall a really good stay.

We highly recommend this property. It was clean, comfortable, fully stocked and the screened-in porch was perfect! Quiet location, easy check-in and Karen is a great host.

This property was great for some family fun, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding (we brought our own equipment). The host is amazing at communication. The lake view is beautiful, especially from the screened in back porch. The walk down to the lake is a little steep (there are stairs and a pathway) so just a heads up in case you plan on bringing grandma and grandpa. There are board games available and each living room space has it's own TV.

River retreat in jefferson

We really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the porch looking out to the river while enjoying coffee. There were a few things inside You will enjoy your stay here.

I have stayed at many vacation properties, but this was one of the best! The amenities were great and the hostess provided many complimentary items. We loved sitting on the screen porch in the evening watching the deer by the shoreline, and in the morning fishermen trolling. Just a 15 minute drive into Jefferson. I hope we have another opportunity to visit and stay at the Lakeside Retreat.

The house was clean, tidy, comfortable. We totally enjoyed our stay. The owners were amazing and we visited with them during our stay. The owners furnished snacks coffee pods, bottled water, bath essentials, etc. Kitchen was stocked with everything and then some. We will plan another stay as soon as we can. Would definitely recommend.

This day was a very good experience overall. The place was clean. All of the amenities were great. The host was great. Let us have a little bit of a late check out and made great recommendations for things around the area.

An amazing stay

The owners were such amazing people, if we had issues they were there to fix it right away. The amenities provided were the best prepared in any rental stay we have had. It’s the best stay I’ve ever experienced and can’t wait to stay again and will be recommending this rental property to anyone who wants to stay in the area.

Ladies getaway

This home was very comfortable and peaceful on the water. Had all the ammenities we needed and then some! Host was very kind and answered our questions promptly. Close to downtown Jefferson I would highly recommend staying at this home.

We enjoyed our time in Jefferson. The peace and quiet while sitting on the screened in porch was restful. Covered parking was perfect especially when we returned from one outing in a downpour. But keeping the car out of the hot Texas sun was also a bonus.

Farm Work Weekend

We had our family gather together for a work weekend at a farm near Lake of the Pines. It was such a joy to be able to come “home” to a relaxing and welcoming home. We had plenty of room to eat supper together as a family and spread out to relax afterwards. The amenities and atmosphere was exceptional!

Relaxing Weekend

Host is amazing. She responded quickly with any questions and was very accommodating. We returned from a previous weekend and didn't regret it at all. House was clean and water view was amazing. It was the perfect home away from home. Definitely recommend.

My party and I were thoroughly impressed with everything. We have not one bad thing to say. In fact, I was instructed by members of my party to leave,” An excellent review !” This place was is immaculate. Members in our other parties had an issue with the location that they were staying in; I contacted my host to see if they may have had any other properties or knew of any at around 9:00 pm Friday night and they got back with me immediately with a possible resolution. Being that it was the Fourth of July weekend, I was impressed with how quickly they got back in touch with me. The view of the lake from the fenced in patio, balcony area was excellent. The neighbors were very hospitable. We will definitely be going back.
