Apartamento Buena Vista is in a small block of eleven apartments, ideally situated on the edge of the village with magnificent views of the surrounding hills and mountain scenery, and with views of the Costa Del Sol in the distance. Within a short walking distance there are bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and the other facilities to be found in the village.
This review, to some extent, typifies the type of holiday one might expect to enjoy, while staying for a fortnight in July in Apartamento Buena Vista:- "We had a lovely holiday staying in Apartamento Buena Vista. We were at the pool every day, and eating out in the village in the evening. We enjoyed breakfasting al fresco on the balcony, and some of us enjoyed a siesta in a cool darkened room. Our internet addict was well provided for. We liked visiting Antequera, Malaga, and El Chorro lake". The Blake family: Norah, Simon, Matthew, Philippa, Sandra, Eric. 14 July 2012 - 28 July 2012..
Our guests, who have stayed in the Autumn, Winter, and Spring, spend time on the terrace in mild, sunny weather; they appreciate being within five minutes on foot from shops and restaurants in a lovely, friendly village; they use the apartment as a convenient base to visit the many cultural attractions etc. of Andalucia, such as Alhambra Palace and the Mezquita. UK tv channels through the internet are available, using guests own tablet/laptop, if it can be connected to the tv; an Amazon Fire Stick is available. The lounge/dining room and has sofas and an armchair, dining furniture. table lamps, coffee tables, original paintings, ornaments, satellite TV, a hi-fi system, and air-conditioning/heating. There is an adjoining terrace with chairs and a table. The master bedroom is complete with double wardrobe, bedside cabinets, table lamps, original paintings, and with patio doors opening onto an adjoining circular terrace. There are two twin bedrooms with built in double wardrobes, bedside tables and table lamps; these bedrooms are wonderfully light and airy: one has patio doors and the other a full length picture window. The master bedroom and one of the twin-bedded rooms have air-conditioning/heating. There is an inner terrace with a garden: a delightful area in which to relax and enjoy the plants. The paintings in the lounge, dining area, hall and bedrooms are Nalini Cook's original works. From the master bedroom patio doors open onto a curved terrace with excellent panoramic views across to the Torcal and the surrounding hills and mountains and there is a larger terrace with access from the lounge with similar views. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with gas hob and electric fan oven.The inner terrace is a secluded outdoor area, a lovely place to enjoy the plants and flowers all the year round in the small garden. The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower, vanity unit, toilet and bidet.
There are three terraces: the main terrace, facing East and entered through sliding patio doors from the living room, offers wonderful views of mountains and the surrounding countryside, To the South the sea can be seen in the distance, and further round, because of its elevated position, there are views over the roof tops of the houses in the village, The circular terrace, facing North East and entered through patio doors from the master bedroom, affords magnificent views of the buttresses of El Torcal, the mountain, which overlooks Villanueva De La Concepcion. The inner terrace, entered from the dining area, is another place to enjoy an alfresco drink, especially when it is lit up at night. Parking is nearby: downstairs outside the apartment building. We charge guests for the electricity they use during their stay at the rate of £0.18/€0,21 per kwh unit.

Great base for exploring stunning surroundings.
Barry, the owner , couldn't have been more helpful and helped us find transport from the airport ,to El Torcal and El Chorro as we had no car. The scenery and rock-formation at El Torcal is stunning. We got a lift to the visitors' centre as it's up-hill all the way but enjoyed a lovely walk at the top and easily managed the walk back to the apartment. El Chorro is spectacular but make sure you reserve your tickets before you go on holiday as we only just managed to scrape in on our last day there.You can google both of these places.Have a look at El Chorro on youtube but don't be put off by it looking scary.I'm afraid of heights and was quite prepared to have to steel myself to do it but the path is wide and it' s no where near as scary as it looks - I wasn't scared at all. If you google it look at the old as well as the new path! There are lovely walks right on the doorstep so although a car isn't essential if you want to get the full benefit of this beautiful part of Spain it would be a bonus. There are a lot of bars in the town within easy reach and the food and drinks are lovely at VERY reasonable prices. Most don't speak English but you'll find menus in English and everyone was very helpful. The balcony gets the sun all day and the apartment is excellent value for money - especially with Barry as a bonus!! We went late Sept/early Oct and the weather was fantastic but not humid and there was usually a gentle breeze.You might need a cardi/fleece for the evenings.
