I can't say enough positive things about Casa Playa Azul! In fact, I'm not sure if I know enough positive adjectives! The food, the home, the staff! All incredible! Olalia and Gracie prepared the most scrumptious meals. The flan was to die for and the chiles rellenos were scrumptious! There was not one bad meal. The staff were so kind, so friendly and helpful. Jose, the groundskeeper/handyman, always had a ready smile and a "buenos dias"! Yobany was helpful and kind. The location was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. One day the power went out in the entire area. Yobany quickly brought in a generator until power was restored just a few hours later. Frank, the owner, was always quick to respond to any questions I had. He was always very helpful. We will definitely return to Casa Playa Azul!

The villa was very well stocked from kitchen to snorkels, fins, life jackets and kayaks. The location was close to many cenotes for swimming or just relaxing by the pool or beachfront.The staff was very helpful at all times. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Hopefully we can return!

Our hosts were welcoming and very responsive. The property sits on a lovely area of beach just off the reef so perfect for snorkeling or diving. We loved our cooking class and of course all the food was wonderful. If you’re looking for a spot with easy access to the sights of Tulum, this is your spot.

Our family of 8 had an amazing holiday! The caretakers were great, friendly and fantastic cooks. The road in has also been upgraded no more potholes.

We've stayed here previously 15 years ago! It has been improved since we stayed last. The AC in the bedrooms kept them comfortable. The cooks did a fantastic job for us and the convenience of having breakfast and dinner cooked for us each day was fabulous. We will be back!

THE BEST

Great house, food was delicious, and the location was primo. Casual bar/restaurant just up the beach with several nice boutique hotel restaurants only a couple doors away. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect in every way!

Everything from check in to meals were amazing! Definitely get the enchiladas! Luis was so sweet and super helpful the entire time. Beds were very comfortable. No issues at all!

Fabulous location and people

This is our third time staying here and never disappoints. We won’t stay anywhere else. Yobany, Louis, Grace, Edith and the one lady who comes every day to cook breakfast and clean are all amazing! We love them and that’s why we love coming back.

Great property

Wonderful amenities. The staff were responsive. The food was excellent and so accommodating with a revised menu for vegetarians. Truly a great property and super relaxing.

Excellent Vacation Home!

This was a perfect home for a family vacation with adult children. The home is spotless, the beach is amazing, the location is excellent. The prepared food was delicious and Luiz’s margaritas each night were amazing! The online photos do not do the house justice.

Another wonderful stay at Casa Playa Azul

This was our second stay at Casa Play Azul, a wonderful and accommodating house on the Caribbean beach. The property is impeccable, well-equipped in all aspects, and the staff are amazing, responsive and always helpful. November 2024 Tankah Shores Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and the staff was fantastic! Especially Luis! The food was great and all we could have hoped for. If they would just fix the road into the property! :-)

Spring Break 2024

My family (son 19 & daughter 17) enjoyed our stay! Great to have so much space - indoor & outdoor! Caretakers were all super helpful and great people!

Fabulous stay in August with my family, wife and two boys (18 and 16). Great accommodation, spacious everything you need. The team there are brilliant. The food is fantastic a real luxury to not have to trapse out or cook for yourself. It was sargassum season but the beach was cleaned daily. Still easy to take paddleboards out to the reef to snorkel. Lovely peaceful location right on the beach. Lots provided (snorkelling clear, kayaks and paddleboards). Book and enjoy a great break. Definitely use the catering option every meal was exceptional!

Amazing house on the beach

Even better than it appears online! Nice beach with snorkeling and kayaking right outside the house. We were able to easily swim to the reef with provided lifejackets and snorkel gear. The staff was lovely and dinners delicious. What a great way to spend a week with friends!

We love it here!

We will never stay anywhere else. We have stayed here twice with our whole family and my mom stays here very time she travels to Mexico. The house is comfortable and beachy, location is central and convenient, but mainly we stay because we love Yobany, Edith, Luis and the rest of the people who work there. Also, don’t spend money on eating out - the food at the house is better than any restaurant!!

Great vacation

Wonderful people, house, and meals. The home cooked Mexican food was exceptional, and the entier staff was very helpful. The only disappointment was the rockey waterfront. We found it difficult to enter the water from the property.

Best kept secret

This is my second time staying here and it is truly a magical place. There was 5 girls and we had plenty of room. The beds are very comfortable and love having the privacy of the 2 upstairs rooms. Our chef was amazing and cared for us the whole week. It feels like you have your own private beach. I can’t wait to go back!
