If you are looking for a quiet place for some R & R on the Gulf Coast to enjoy the season, then Ocean Springs may just have that quaint little town atmosphere you are looking for! This cottage is about location, location, location!! Guests love Butterfly Cottage not only for its' amenities & cleanliness, but the location is ideal! Front beach and downtown are both within 2 & 1/2 blocks of the cottage. The weather is beautiful, the sand and beach chairs are waiting, Tatonut is making the best donuts ever, and the restaurants are serving up great food and music!!!

This beautiful little cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen, appliances, bathrooms & fixtures along with a stackable washer/dryer. The location is perfect for your beach vacations or weekend getaways and ready for your enjoyment and pleasure as you spend time around the beautiful and quaint town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. You can enjoy the back porch where you can relax outside listening to birds and watching butterflies. The dining and living room give comfort and relaxation after a day at the beach or exploring downtown. The master suite has a queen bed and master bathroom that also houses the stackable washer/dryer unit. The guest room also has a queen bed and its own bathroom.

Butterfly Cottage is a private home located in a quiet neighborhood near the downtown Historic Ocean Springs. I have enjoyed getting to know our neighbors who are fun and interesting people whose friendship, privacy and quiet enjoyment of their homes and community are very important to us. Please treat our home and neighbors with the same respect you would your own. We hope you enjoy your stay.

No partying, no smoking, no pets allowed inside or outside. Please limit your guests to 4 guests except by owners permission. I certainly accommodate families; just list your guests accordingly. Please feel free to message me with your requests or questions.

Weekend Getaway

Quaint, quiet, cool & close. The cottage was clean & well equipped. It was in a quiet area when it was time to rest. The A/C worked great on a hot weekend! We were about a block from all the Ocean Springs shop’s & restaurants!!

Cosiest Cottage in OS

Cottage is perfect size, backyard is small and cozy, street is friendly and quiet, all are a must to us as we travel with kids. I always enjoy the kitchen as it is always stocked with everything you’ll need to cook some delish shrimp right off of the shrimping boats that we usually just walk to (under 10 min walk with kids). Two thumbs up for our 2024 stay at Butterfly Cottage and we’ll see you in 2025.

Lovely cottage with all the right stuff!

The cottage was just perfect 2 bed 2 bath so great if you need that extra shower on the hot summer days! The kitchen had an island to eat on or a table in the dining area. You can sit on the porch in the back and relax or sip morning drink on the front porch and watch the neighborhood. It’s so close to downtown area but i highly recommend you get a golf cart and explore the city and all it has to offer. The owners were very easy to get ahold of when we had an issue with the TV and they helped us out easily. We would stay again

Weekend visit

This cottage was a perfect place to taks the weekend off with my teens. So close to shops, restaurants and the beach. We packed lots of things in a short time and loved coming back to this cozy place. I had everything we needed. Will visit again.

Perfect

Butterfly Cottage is quite comfortable. The property is extremely well maintained. The decoration of the interior is top notch and laid back for a cottage. The exterior is really great in keeping with a Gulf Coast feel. Location was key factor in staying here. Cindy is great to communicate with as a true host. This was our second visit and we look forward to returning next year.

Plenty of room for 2 couples or a small family. Easy to get to downtown or beach front. Quiet and clean. Had everything we needed.

October Escape

This bright and cheerful cottage is well equipped and has the distinct advantage of an excellent location… literally a couple of blocks from town center and south beach. It’s very walkable which is important considering the scant parking in downtown Ocean Springs.

Amazing

Ocean Springs is an amazing town. Everyone is so friendly. Butterfly cottage is so cute and comfy! House is in great location-walk to beach in morning and walk to town in the afternoon. Also fresh shrimp boats at the marina selling fresh shrimp. Cindy is so easy to work with! Can't wait to go back!

Fun girls trip to Ocean Springs

Perfect location for our fun girls trip! Able to walk to the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Restaurants and art museum (Walter Anderson) a few blocks away. So thankful we found this little beach cottage and made our trip perfect, peaceful and Fun!

If I could give the Butterfly Cottage more stars I would. Perfect location between downtown and the beach. Beautiful home. It was bigger than the pictures give it credit for. Clean and so adorable. The host were amazing. Great communication. We will be back!

My daughter married a long time resident of Ocean Springs. They settled into a quiet life here on the Gulf Coast this past decade and invited me to come enjoy this wonderful little town. I fell in love with the relaxed life style and warm winters, but it also is allowing me to enjoy the cultural experiences of Walter Anderson Museum, Shearwater Pottery, and the entire historic Ocean Springs community. Front Beach and Fort Maurepas Park, ONLY 2 blocks from Butterfly Cottage, are just a few of my grandsons and my favorite places to play, ride bike, and relax. And at the end of the day, walking less than 3 blocks to downtown we can enjoy some of the finest restaurants and shopping on the Gulf Coast!

This cottage is easily at the center of all the activity and experiences Ocean Springs has to offer. One can easily walk to the center of town in one direction and to the beach in the opposite direction. Everything is very close and convenient.
