Apartment with amazing views and rooftop terrace

The apartment overlooks the Girona Cathedral and the trees of the San Daniel Valley, and you can enjoy the spectacular views from either the balcony or the private rooftop terrace. There is a barbecue, you can park for FREE in front of the building and there is air-conditioning and a fire place for the winter months. It is very calm with only the sounds of the birds and bells from the cathedral below. There is a big entrance, which is perfect to bring up your bikes.

Apartment near cathedral and old town

Apartment was okay. Three bedrooms 6 people can easy go. Kitchen was good, gas stove and dish washer. Roof terrace is also really nice with kettle grill and washing machine. Batroom and shower were bad. Weird smell from sink and water pressure of shower was really low.

Locatie app is mooi dicht bij het oude centrum, dit is echter het enige positieve. De volgende problemen kwamen wij tegen. De toegang naar het app bevind zich op een zeer steile, omhooggaande weg! Code voor toegang verblijf niet doorgegeven; daardoor was de ontvangst teleurstellend, wij hebben lang in de warmte gewacht en uiteindelijk gebeld hoe wij binnen konden komen; slot in de voordeur zeer problematisch, voordat de deur open was, was je 10 min verder; geen licht in de keuken; terras erg rommelig en smoezelig, te weinig stoelkussens; app was vies en rommelig; ramen kunnen niet op slot; strijkplank zonder dekje; stopcontacten zitten los; ventilator mist beschermingskap; parkeren bij app problematisch. Drie stijle trappen omhoog naar app bij ons niet bekend. Dus met bagage veel sjouwen!! De buren lieten de hond beneden op een heel klein plaatsje de hele dag in de warmte alleen met als gevolg veel blaffen en op het plaatsje zijn behoefte doen, zielig en smerig! Slotconclusie; het app voldeed niet aan onze verwachtingen! ZEER TELEURSTELLEND

Wohnung mit wunderschönem Ausblick

Die Altstadt ist von der Wohnung aus sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Wohnung verfügt über alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs und einen ausreichend großen Balkon, sowie eine sehr große Dachterrasse mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Altstadt bzw. die Kathedrale von Girona. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern verlief sehr schnell und unkompliziert.

Nice views

The apartment is on a ridiculously steep hill, and up three flights of stairs. The a/c was wonky and sorely missed during a heat wave! The terrace was great and the view was wonderful.

Terrific place !

Lovely place with a stunning view from the roofterrace. Very private and cosy. The apartment is downtown in the old centre of the town, the closest tapasbar is aroun the corner and has fantastic wines for little money. No need to cook🥂

Spacious apartment with great views and very convenient location!

This apartment is worth the 80 - 100 mts of steep hill and about 30 steep steps you have to go through to get to it! It’s spacious, well equipped with a gorgeous terrace & a balcony with beautiful view of the trees, hills and the cathedral. We, a family of 4, stayed here for a week very comfortably. Our only complaint was the bad smell that came from the wash basin and the not-so-powerful flow of the shower. We did let the manager know about the stench from the basin and it was looked into very promptly. The smell was ok for half a day but came back. Think given as a feedback it can be taken care of and improved for the future. But overall we had a great stay. The apartment is so well located ... it’s located in Sant Daniel ...not far from the monastery and just 5 mins walk to the old city, restaurants and the shops....and yet you can enjoy the peace and serenity around! I look forward to going back and would highly recommended this place.

Beautiful apartment with amazing views

A fabulous stay here, the views from the balcony and roof terrace are just amazing. Five minute walk to restaurant and fab cocktail bar, 10 min walk into old town. Girona is such a beautiful laid back City, we can’t wait to return. All communication from booking to arrival to return of deposit has been excellent.

Fin lägenhet med härlig takterass

Trevlig lägenhet på ca 10 min promenadavstånd från den gamla charmiga delen av Girona där det finns gott om restsuranger och barer. Härlig balkong och charmig takterass med kylskåp, grillmöjligheter etc. Och fin utsikt över Girona.

The apartment in Girona was everything it was advertised to be and more!

Overal, the apartment is wonderful! The terraces are a real plus! The location is quiet and very convenient to the city center and all the sites. Girona is a great city worth a stay! We loved our experience.

A perfect place for family and friends

Our stay was terrific. The location could not have been better. This apartment is tucked into a hillside, steps above lovely cobblestone streets, medieval buildings & stone walls, and beautiful narrow alleyways in the romantic older section of Girona. It is a ten minute walk to enjoy the bustle of daytime activities or the enchanting nightlife and terrific restaurant options in the old town. Walking paths and bike routes are super close and easily accessible. We rented bikes and spent a day exploring a number of nearby medieval towns - so beautiful. It was always nice to return home to the warmth of the wood furning fireplace . The rooftop terrace is simply stunning. Make a little something in the (well equipped kitchen), grab a bottle of wine and head to the terrance to watch the sunset drop behind the main cathedral, listen to the belltower toll and gaze out on an unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape. I recommend this home to friends and family who want the flexibility of pursuing active outdoor activities or choosing to relax in a comfortable indoor environment.

Perfect Girona Apartment

Fantastic apartment with everything you need including an amazing rooftop terrace with views of the old town. Requires stamina for the hill and steps but well orth the effort, only needs to deal with the water pressure to become "superb"......thank you Silvia for the warm welcome and we will certainly return

Ruime woning op een fantastische lokatie

Via een korte steile weg en trap kom je bij het appartement op de 2e verdieping. Vriendelijke ontvangst door de verhuurster. Ruime kamers, prima linnengoed en voldoende ventilatoren. Het was rond de 34'C toen wij er waren. De keuken is oud, maar de apparatuur, niet en functioneert goed en er is voldoende serviesgoed en bestek. 's Ochtends ontbijt op het balkon bij de woonkamer, 's avonds diner (bbq) op het deels overdekte royale dakterras. De trap er naar toe is flink steil, maar dan heb je ook een schitterend uitzicht en heerlijk plek om te relaxen met een lekker briesje. De natuur voor de deur en je loopt zo naar de beloopbare muur, de tuinen en de spannende gangetjes bij de kathedraal. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Misschien nog handig, een dienblad om alles mee te nemen naar het dakterras. Bedankt dat we een weekje van deze woning mochten genieten.

Majical Girona apartment. Wish we could stay there all year round

The apartment has an amazing roof top terrace, probably one of the best terraces in the neighborhood with stunning views of the valley forest, Cathedral and ancient roman walls. Perfect terrace to enjoy BBQ steak and delicious Rioja, listening to the cathedral bells while you plan your next amazing bike ride, hiking trip, day trip to Barcelona, or scenic back road car ride to Begur. The super friendly Canadian owner is quite a biker and was so helpful in getting us introduced to Dave and Saskia at Bikebreaks as well as pointing out where to shop and eat including our favorite spot Cafe 24. Can't wait to get back to here.

Excellent apartment

What a great place to stay! We spent several days exploring the old streets of Girona, enjoying long walks, delicious food, and side trips to towns along the coast, and the apartment was a treat to come back to. It's very nicely furnished and well-equipped, and the views are wonderful. Stepping out onto the balcony to hear the birds and church bells in the morning was bliss after a long winter at home! The location is a pleasant distance out of the busier part of town, but within easy reach of restaurants and shops. Tapas at Txalaca are really tasty and fun, Konig was handy for fresh salads and sandwiches, and Mon Oncle has a good local-focused menu. We also liked the tienda close by (along the street by the river), where we could pick up things for breakfast and snacks. I made sure to follow the Girona tradition of kissing the lion statue to guarantee returning!

Great apartment, superb terrace with stunning views and short walk to the Old Town.

We spent several weeks in the apartment and loved it. It’s perfectly located in Sant Daniel, which is just a few minutes walk from the old town but also next to the woods. These woods have a number of good walks - including a walk to the monastery in Els Angels and Sant Michel. Also good for running. The apartment had everything we needed: bedding, towels etc...including a kitchen with decent utensils! This was especially important to us because we love to cook at home. (In the past, we’ve rented places where the kitchen lacked even one decent sharp knife which can be pretty annoying). The views from the balcony and the roof terrace are superb - they look over the woods, the cathedral, and the old town. We loved the cycling and walking in and around the area - many routes, all easily accessible from the apartment's location. Note: the apartment is located on a steep hill but it's quite short. Whilst this wasn't a problem for us as we enjoyed the exercise and we liked the challenge of the final steep climb at the end of our bike rides! if you’ve got any mobility issues then it would likely pose difficulties for you.

perfect location, serene yet close to everything

Thank you for sharing your lovely Girona apartment. We love your spacious, airy and private apartment nestled so close to the old town, enjoyed the convenience of being able to park right out front. The roof top terrace is truly wonderful, such a lovely place to recount our daily adventures while enjoying the cathedral views and spectacular sunsets. I look forward to returning!

Beautiful spot in Sant Daniel

Looking for a full kitchen, plenty of space with three bedrooms, a living room, a stunning patio, and a rooftop terrace, then this is the place for you. Located within a decent walk from historic downtown Girona, this apartment puts you right in the heart of local Catalan living. Plenty of amenities to make you feel at home - sheets and linens plus all the basic tools needed in the kitchen. The shower is a bit lacking and isn't quite a luxury spa treatment. Plus water pressure is low. But I'm told that enhancing this is a top priority. Be absolutely sure you're not physically handicapped or you won't be able to make it into the apartment. You're about 8 minutes on foot from town, which makes for a very nice stroll. But then you're hoofing it about 100 meters up an wall of a driveway. And then onto about 30 steep stairs. That being said, the STUNNING view doesn't come for free -- you need to earn that visual which is entirely worth it.
