The apartment perfectly met my family of 5’s needs. Clean, well appointed, A/C worked very well during heat wave. Balcony was a welcome spot to enjoy morning coffee before starting the day, Great location - 10 to 15 minute walk to all important sights.

The apartment has good space, is in a great location and 4 separate air conditioners made the stay very comfortable during the hot Summer days. The bathroom pictures in the Vrbo listing are not the bathrooms in the actual apartment. The bathrooms in the apartment are not as nice and new as the pictures showed.Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived at the property, we noticed it was not clean. Upon further inspection, we turned the bed sheets over and noticed there was mold on one mattress (it was actually a piece of foam) along with hair and what looked to be a dead worm. On the other mattress there were urine stains all over. The 3rd bedroom was up these tiny little stairs, that was a trip hazard, and there were not curtains and it was very hot with no a/c on this 2nd floor of the apartment.When we contacted the host, who sometimes took 3 days to respond in the initial stages, he said it was clean and would not return our money. We of course did not stay there as my friend has mold allergies and was affected the minute we arrived.We are now in a fight to get our money back. We also had to rush to find another place to stay at the last minute.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment! We loved the location- it was perfect for us to walk everywhere we wanted- very central without being noisy - Situated well on a narrow street, but steps away from a tiny charming piazza, Piazza Del Limbo. You could arrange for a taxi to easily pick you up there if you need one. It was quite spacious and the AC worked very well. The management company, SimplyHome, was quite responsive when we asked for lightbulbs to be changed and some other little things (this should be checked beforehand, but at least they came the very next day to take care of it). We liked the fact that was an elevator too since it is on the very top floor - The elevator only goes to the 2nd floor though, so you have to walk up the last flight and there is no light switch at the top. (There is a light switch on the 2nd floor, but it it automatically shuts off fyi- I wish there was a way they could address this). I knew from other reviews there were lots of steps within the apartment but it was hard to exactly picture it. Since we knew we were staying in a medieval tower, we knew to expect that though! It was charming! It would be helpful to show a floorplan. It very much fit our needs- but people need to know about the stairs. The beds were quite comfortable, Nice linens & towels provided- You do need to have the Euro for the taxes per person cleaning fee handy as some reviews mention even though VRBO says all fees included.

Very charming property. Beds are comfortable, location is great, and the patio is a nice bonus. There are steep stairs inside the apartment so keep that in mind if it’s an issue. Our young kids loved the quirky layout and the outdoor space. Highly recommend.

The apartment was fantastically located to explore Florence throughout the day. As a photographer, I appreciated being close to everything for easy access at sunrise.

Amazing location

Tucked away on a quiet street, this apartment is within 10 minutes or less from almost everything you'd want to do or see in Florence. Highly recommend!

The layout of the apartment was not clear. Everything was on a different level with stairs for every room. There was no place to open and use luggage. 2nd bathroom was at top of a spiral staircase.

Location, location, location

This apartment is in such a great location. You are within easy walking distance of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, the Uffizi, the Duomo and many great restaurants. It was so great to come out the front door and be right in the heart of the city. We experienced no issues at all during our stay and the apartment is as advertised. One room with the king sized bed is quite large, the other is normal size, and the room with the twin bed is a nice little hideaway loft. Having to walk up the last flights of stairs or the stair case in the apartment was not an issue for us. There isn't a lot of common space but who comes to Florence to hang out in the apartment? We felt extremely safe and it was within walking distance of the train station. We would stay there again.

Stairs despite elevator!

We had a great stay, and SimplyHome was quick to answer our questions. It's a very nice place....but...the elevator only goes to third floor, and the apartment is on fourth... So when the elevator reaches the top, you still have 19 steps on a very narrow staircase before the apartment. Inside there is 26 stairs on an even more narrow staircase, to the single bed "room", three steps down to the master bedroom, and also some up to the last bedroom. Apart from that - we loved the place, the neighborhood and Firenze it self, and would consider comming back (when it's not 38 degrees!).

Would not return

I would give this property a 1 star if not for the wonderful Martina (a young employee) who took care of us. This property is owned by a corporation that does NOT care about customers. They didn't make any effort to make us comfortable (no water, no shampoo, no coverlets on the beds - just one sheet, no trash can or bag in the kitchen). The place was also quite old and needs a lot of care to bring it up to standard (dirty furniture that no one wanted to sit on, broken window glass, super dirty vents...). The only communication we ever got was about them getting their cleaning fee and taxes in cash the day we arrived. They sent us FIVE reminders. Will never return and do not recommend.

This property is in an excellent location close to almost everything worth seeing in Florence. It does have an elevator but only for the first two floors with stairs pictured leading to the apartment on the 3 level. The pictures seem to indicate two porches. However, both photos pictured are of the same area with different furniture. This is deceptive and should only have one picture. There are several steps in the interior of the apartment which are not clear in the photos. The largest bedroom is 3 steps below the hall without a handrail. Not comfortable for anyone concerned about their balance. Also, the bathroom adjacent to this bedroom has steps with no handrail. The hairdryer in this bathroom does not plug into the outlet as the plug is too large. We had adapters which overcame this unnecessary oversite. We did find a trash container under the sink. The porch was not clean with a rusted metal round cylinder in the corner and pigeon feathers in another corner. I would not recommend this unit for anyone who has issues with steps or balance due to the lack of support on the 3 step passages mentioned above. We found the interior clean. I would give it a 10 for location and a 6/7 the living set up.

Great location, some minor challenges

The property is really nice and in an excellent location. Our stay was great though there were a few issues. I never met our host throughout the stay. I received an email the day before arrival saying they required the cleaning fee and local taxes in cash though it turned out they could charge my card. Apartment information was brief and on the back of the entry door, it looked more like a fire safety sign. There were two hair driers, neither worked and a washing machine, but no detergent. We had an air conditioner that was broken/being repaired during a heat wave. It look longer than promised to resolve and there were no fans in the apartment nor any offered. It's also worth noting that the apartment is on the 5th floor. There is a lift/elevator but then a flight of stairs. Also, the single room, while great, is at the top of two flights of very steep stairs and it has no door. If you have small children or anyone with mobility issues it's helpful to know in advance. All in all a great apartment, some attention to detail could have made our stay easier and more pleasant.

Wonderful place in an amazing location on a quiet street, yet just steps from so many great sites! We love Florence and this was the perfect location for my family of 4 (2 kids 7 and 9).

Unfortunately we were not able to spend one night here. Granted it was extremely hot in Florence when we were there but upon arriving the air conditioning was not on. The upstairs did not even work. We turned on the ones that worked and left to let it cool down but it never got to a comfortable temp. With temps in the upper 90s and 100 at that time we could not stay here. We went to a hotel nearby. The host was apologetic and very nice. Also please redo the pictures .it is misleading. The apartment has multiple stairs to go up and down to each room. Definitely not seen in pictures.

We loved our stay! The location was excellent and the apartment had everything we needed. This apartment is at the top of several flights of stairs, and there are more stairs inside the apartment itself. This was not a problem for us, but could be a challenge for some. The small bed up in the loft was not set up when we arrived. Our son made due, and they did have someone come set it up properly for us during our stay. However, it got into the upper 80's our last couple of days there, and then it was uncomfortably hot up in that room and our son opted to sleep on the couch anyway. There is AC in the main living space and it did work well, but not up in that tower bedroom. The kitchen was very functional and we had several dinners on the patio - lovely! The washing machine worked great, and the host was responsive. Great rental!

Charme et emplacement top

Séjour à 4 en famille avec une ado de 17 ans et une petite fille de 3. Nous avons apprécié, le look du logement, avec sa terrasse sur les toits, la chambre perchée, le coté perché sans bruit (sauf travaux, pas de chance à la fin du séjour) Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement à deux pas du ponte Vecchio, on fait tout à pieds. Nous avons moins apprécié...peu de chose, la chambre en duplex avec le petit lit ne convient pas pour enfant en bas age (rambarde trop basse, escaliers..., dommage, nous avons du faire dormir la petite dans la grande chambre et la grande dans la petite chambre..ce qui n'est pas si grave au final). Et attention à l'accés voiture...petite rue piétonne avec accés restreint. Merci en tout cas à nos hôtes pour les échanges et la facilité d'arrivée.
