Excellent stay

I booked this as a little getaway for our young family and it was perfect. Great location, feeling very remote despite the fact that Newquay and watergate bay were round the corner. Superb listing and property

Brilliant location, just over 10 mins walk to the coast path and beach. Pet- friendly, quiet and great communication with the owners. Have stayed before, and would definitely come back again if we come to the same area. What more could we want?

Porth holiday

Perfect for dog walking with footpaths across fields opposite. Lovely, cosy cottage, would recommend, hope to come back another time!

The location was perfect. Accommodation as described and clean. Definitely dog friendly as required. Everyone we met eete friendly and the hosts communicated rapidly when any questions right from the nooking stsge. We cannot fsult and would definitely return.

Another amazing stay

2nd year here and 3rd year booked as place is fantastic (lovely and clean) and location the best we have seen since travelling Cornwall. Hosts are great and it was a lovely touch to get there and find milk and tea kit waiting. Communication throughout was great and me and my wife had a fantastic holiday and can't wait for our next one.

Good compact base

It was an enjoyable small compact base to use for travelling around the Cornish coast a short walk from some good surf.. also good for children the sofa bed was actually very comfortable and all amenities worked we had no issues with anything a enjoyable stay...

Little but lovely

Everything you need in a great location. We loved Whipsiderry beach. Great for bodyboarding and exploring rock pools, away from the crowds. Easy to get to Newquay, we even walked a couple of times. Great communications from very helpful hosts. We had a brilliant holiday and would love to come back next year.

Fantastic!

The property is perfect as a base for exploring the local area. It has everything you need for a stay. It's in a quiet courtyard, close to the beach and there are beautiful views and walks from the property. The hosts - Ian and Jill - provided excellent communication and were available to help if needed. I had a lovely time (the sunny weather certainly helped too!)

Great cottage!

Quiet, rural, peaceful cottage. Very cozy for my wife and me, who are traveling from the United States. Hosts were very responsive to our questions. The only thing we would have liked to know in advance is that we needed to supply our own laundry detergent and our own additional rolls of toilet paper, as there was only one roll.

January Get-Away..

Ian was very helpful given Vrbo platform comms was awful (App may be better). Had a lovely couple of days stay and excellent local dog walking and Beach a short walk too. Cottage was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Well positioned for local coastal adventuring. Would recommend arriving in day light as the car park is not lit and access for unloading everything was not that straightforward! Otherwise a great stay.

Stress Free!

I took my teenage son to Cornwall so he could experience the joys of this county as I did when I was his age! Jill and Ian made the stay stress free! A lovely little cottage, arrival and check in was easy. Directions took the stress out of getting there. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really clean and good storage. Easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. A thoroughly enjoyable week, thank you!!

Wonderful holiday home

We had a wonderful time in this very cozy and practical holiday apartment, which is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay in Cornwall. The arrival and communication with Ian were very straightforward and pleasant. We can wholeheartedly recommend the apartment and would return anytime. It's really ideal for two people – for four, it might be a bit too small in our opinion. For German travelers: The duvet is typically English, meaning it is one large duvet for the entire bed – if you prefer to sleep with separate duvets as a couple, you should bring your own.

Lovely Location

Good location both rural, plus close to Porth beach and my relations. However, the accommodation was very poor. Grubby, tired and shabby. An armchair I needed to cover with my dressing gown, not fit to sit on, corroded hot plates etc etc etc. I have photos to evidence my comments. Saving grace, effective storage heaters!

Oh no, Elaine we are sorry to hear you didn’t like some aspects of our cottage. We think our near 200 year old property offers great value for money. I was very surprised to hear what you said as I had been there on the day the cottage was prepared for you ready for you to arrive later that same day. I know it was in pretty good state having been cleaned very well by our lovely cleaner who puts a lot of time and effort into making sure it’s nice for guests. Cleanliness is of course subjective and if you dig around hard enough no doubt you’ll always find something but seeing as there are over 70 genuine reviews on here and so far only yours has rated us as poor it all seems a bit odd. The vast majority we’re happy to say have given us a smiley face emoji and/or praise for the cottage's cleanliness. I wonder if you were trying too hard to find fault rather than enjoying your 9 day value for money holiday. I’m surprised during your stay you never once contacted us about it so we could take action if there was something wrong. We don’t claim to be top of the range but our customers usually rate us highly. Ian

Highly recommend

We had a wondeful stay, the first impression of the accommodation, its bright, clean and cosy with a lovely view of the hills from the window.Its close by to many beaches, and theres also a bus service if you dont want to drive.We enjoyed Lusty glaze, watergate and porth beaches nearby..we also visited hendra oasis swimming baths and slides for the day.We spent a day at the eden project.The teens enjoyed themselves.There are many places we could have visited but we ran out of time.There is a manual at the accommodation with Instructions on everything you need to know.All in all a great stay a big thankyou. A lovely property, simple process for checking in and out, great location making it easy to visit everywhere we wanted to go. Only disadvantage was a smaller bed than am used to, doesn’t help that I am a tall person used to a super king size, so a bit of a squeeze when the dogs decided to join during the night . Would most definitely recommend and would visit again
