We ad a wqonnderful time in Moose Pass. Our host cooked us an over the top dinner. Beatrice, the dog, was an added bonus. We wish we could have stayed longer than six days.

We had a great stay and were sad to leave! The description was limited but Jan was always quick to respond to my questions. There is a separate bath house behind the cabin which is reached by a slightly uphill curved path (about 75 steps). It is heated and has hot and cold running water and shower. The cabin is heated by a wood stove, wood provided. It took us a little while to get a hang of it but kept the cabin super warm when we used it. The location was a perfect central location to visit Seward, Whittier and Girdwood. We also had a great hike near Cooper Landing in Kenai National WIldlife Reserve. The cabin was hand-built by Jan and the craftsmanship and attention to detail was superb. It was less rustic than expected with varnished hardwood floors, ceramic wood stove hearth and ceramic sink with cold running water and a microwave and mini-fridge. The bed was very comfortable. There is a narrow gravel path leading through the woods from the parking area and the cabin is very private (cannot see the main house from it). We highly recommend it and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is an amazing property. The owners have put a lot of work into to make it a wonderful experience for the traveler.I highly recommend this lovely cabin if you are traveling near Moose Pass.

This was our second time staying here. It was just as amazing this time, and we will certainly stay again in the future. To start, the hosts, Jan and Judy, are by far the most kind and welcoming hosts we've experienced. They even invited us to join them for dinner during our stay, and we had a wonderful time. Now, the cabin itself is a piece of art built by a true craftsman. You can tell it was meticulously built, and is maintained with the same effort. Same for the bath house which is just a short easy walk away. Both structures were extremely clean and very comfortable. The cabin is well equipped with microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and wifi but still has a serene off grid vibe. The beds and linens are very comfortable. The wood stove is great for those cooler mornings or nights, and the fire pit outside is great for an evening campfire, and Jan provided more than enough wood for our weeklong stay. The location is extremely convenient for exploring the entire Kenai Peninsula from Seward to Homer. Within a few miles, you can experience some amazing hikes and some of the best fishing in Alaska. Also, be sure to reach out to the host if you need any meals provided. Judy is a professional chef, and she provided us with two amazing meals during our stay. Overall, this is one of our favorite rentals we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in many. The combination of cleanliness, comfort, and convenience along with the friendliness of the hosts results in the best value in the area.

Charming Cabin

The cabin is set in a quiet forest with fern-covered grounds and a small steam. It has beautiful woodwork and unique, lovely features. Potted flowers all about and flowers inside to greet us. It was a lovely stay and we plan to return.

Beautiful cabin

Property was even nicer in person than the ad implied. Property owners,Jan and Judy were a pleasure to chat with. Jan pointed us in the right direction for some fun excursions around Seward. Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords NP and Lowell Point.

This little cabin is so cool and unique. It was so fun to stay there. It was so relaxing to sit outside and read a book with a cup of coffee and listen to the little creek.

Charming Craftsman Cabin

We were delighted by this secluded and charming cabin. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing, it's in a great location and Jan is a fantastic host. This cabin proved to be the perfect place to wind down our long days of fishing and exploring the Kenai Peninsula.

Moose Pass

Adorable, quiet and peaceful cabin tucked into the trees made this rental a great find. We really enjoyed all of the artistic touches inside and outside of the cabin and on the trail to the cabin and bathhouse. All in all this cabin is wonderful and we hope to stay here again.

Quiet get-a-way

This cabin is just so cute and adorable tucked off in the woods. It is a short walk to your own private bath house and sits right next to a small creek. The wood burning heat is amazing to start up in the evenings to stay warm!

Perfect cabin in the woods

The title says it all... the cabin was perfect! The babbling brook was just the right volume, the forest noise were perfect, the walk thru the trees to the cabin was enough to see why the place is called Fern Hollow!

Nothing Short of Amazing

Absolutely gorgeous! The cabin, the property, the babbling brook, just awesome! Hosts are very courteous and friendly. The trail down to the cabin is short, 30 yds or so and well maintained. Will definitely be back and miss it already. Thanks Jan for such an amazing stay.
