There are many historical towns to visit including Murcia,Orihuela,Elche (the shoe manufacturing capital of Spain) and not forgetting Alicante (approx 10 mins away).So often overlooked but it is a lovely town for a days shopping with numerous restaurants and cafes to visit.There are tree lined avenues to wander down or just to sit and watch the world go by.
