Perfect Spot! Scenic, relaxing and enjoyable

Beautiful setting, loved the decor! Spent plenty of time on the deck enjoying the sunsets, kids enjoyed swimming in the bay, and walking down to the beach. Close to all the amenities of 96th street, as well as the Stone Harbor Rec Center. Would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful waterfront property! We loved that there were bikes, beach chairs and a kayak for us to use. Owners were very easy to contact and the neighbors are lovely as well.

A beautiful home with even more beautiful sunsets! We had a great week and loved that we could bring our dog along too. The owners were easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. 10/10 would rent from them again in the future!

Spectacular!

Love love love the Crabshack! Very cozy and well laid out. Two decks to watch the bay and sunsets. We will definitely return!

Cozy bay view

The “ Crab Shack” was such a cozy, well appointed beach home. The view of the bay was spectacular and the location close to shops and restaurants. My family and I so enjoyed our stay in this lovely Stone Harbor home!

Bayside Dream

Just about all of the homes I have stayed at on any shore were closer to the ocean side than the bay side. My wife having spent time in a bay side home in her younger days convinced me that we should try the bay side. We first spotted this house on VRBO last September 2020 while looking for a 2021 summer rental and opted for one close to the ocean as usual. However, we did look at it from the outside and while my wife was a little sad, we were happy with our other pick for the number of people we wanted to invite. Then in January, with our 25th wedding anniversary coming up, we decided to not travel far and went right to this listing. What a great choice we made. The décor of the house is totally shore emphasizing a nautical sports theme with model ships in the windows, a long board mounted on the wall and many nautical features scattered throughout the house. I loved the cleat towel hooks in the bathrooms. The house was well done and the instructions given were extremely well written so that anyone could extend the awning, listen to music inside or out, or control the tv without having a degree from MIT to figure it out. The kitchen was well layed out with high end appliaces and the bedrooms had comfy beds with great views. Even the street side was nice. But the best thing about this house is its location on the bay right on the water with a dock extending out. I brought my pole from when I was a kid, but the sea gulls did a lot better. We watched crabbers drop and collect their traps, several floating docks get installed nearby, and many different birds (sea gulls, swallows, brown pelicans) fighting for fish. Whether inside or out, we spent a lot of time looking over the bay. It was almost like being right on a boat. So much more happening on the bay than I ever imagined. Finally, for a smaller group of people, this is a place worth investigating. The fact that this is a smaller house then many of its neighbors is one of its biggest selling points. A prime example of great location and great property.
