This top story unit at the Shores of Maui offers a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean and is located on the sunniest part of the Island. It’s about 50 yards from the sand, directly across from Cove Park, a fun surfing and paddle boarding beach. It’s a one block walk to Charlie Young Beach (as a reference, it's the north end of Kama'ole Beach I), one of the finest swimming beaches on Maui!
The complex is minutes away from the resorts and shops of Wailea as well as championship golf and world class restaurants. It’s also walking distance from charming local Kihei cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries.
The condo is on the second floor of the two story complex, accessible by stairs but not elevator. The unit was remodeled including the kitchen with stainless appliances, hardwood bamboo floors in the living room/dining area and bathrooms, Samsung "Smart" 32” flat screens in each bedroom, all with DVD/BluRay players attached and free Netflix; and a new 65" 4k UHD LG Smart TV in the living room.
In the kitchen--KEURIG 2.0 PLUS SERIES single serve coffee maker. There is also a standard electric coffee maker in the kitchen.
Two or three higher quality BOOGIE BOARDS and FOUR BEACH CHAIRS.
The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated--one has a king bed, the other has two queens. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
There are TWO FULL BATHS in the unit.
The unit includes a spacious lanai (balcony) with spectacular OCEAN VIEWS, wonderful for sunsets and whale-watching. There is a table and chairs to sit and relax on the lanai.
The unit has NEW CENTRAL A/C! There is a separate thermostat and control in each bedroom and the main living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a full size Kenmore refrigerator and includes a dishwasher, NEW MICROWAVE, toaster and rice cooker.
FREE High Speed WIFI Internet is included (private for guests in unit only)
400+ digital channels of FULL HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISION in living room and bedrooms.
Free NETFLIX enabled on TV's in all rooms.
Includes TELEPHONE with unlimited local calls as well as free calling to all of the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong and India.
Full size LG WASHER AND DRYER in the unit.
On-site amenities include a heated spa, swimming pool, tennis court, outdoor gas grills and covered outdoor eating area.
Note that there is a mandated state of Hawaii room tax of 14.41% +3% (for Covid) added to the daily rate--Hawaii added the additional 3% tax to start effective bookings after November 1, 2021. HI is increasing tax on visitors partly because the HI government shut down the island to visitors, thereby reducing income tax revenues to the state, and now they need to bring in more revenue to make up for that loss.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of California at Berkeley. I loved San Francisco but moved to Los Angeles to attend graduate school at UCLA. I then began my career directing and producing educational television series for broadcast on PBS as well as projects for the South Korean Ministry of Education and the government of Singapore. I currently work in public education in Los Angeles and also develop multi-media interactive learning games and apps. Some of the work I do can be seen on our company website. I have been blessed with a wonderful 9-year old son who also loves the ocean and the beaches of Maui.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Since I was a child, my parents took me on vacations to Maui as well as the other Hawaiian islands. I loved the ocean and the beaches and the diving, surfing, whales, dolphins, sea turtles, sunsets and amazing hikes. None of that has changed. As an adult, I particularly enjoy Kihei and the Shores of Maui because I can sit on my lanai and enjoy a beautiful sunset every night, a glass of wine in hand--walk to excellent coffee and breakfasts in the morning--walk 60 yards to the ocean and take a swim--sit by the private pool on property or on the beach--then head over to one of the excellent local happy hours. Or we grill steaks and seafood on the gas bbq's on site and sip our home-made mai-tais and relax in the jacuzzi. Or if its a family and kids trip, we all swim and boogie board every day at the beach, walk to the park, or take a hike.
