Come and stay at our dome on the range. This remodeled geodesic dome house is nestled halfway between Cody and Yellowstone National Park in the beautiful Wapiti Valley. Enjoy views from every window and the wrap around deck. From the dome you can see up the Northfork Valley, Jim Mountain to the North, Ptarmigan Mountain to the South, and Buffalo Bill Reservoir to the East. In the Wapiti area you can enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, skiing, horseback riding and animal watching. We have seen deer, buffalo, elk, wolf, fox, eagles, owls, blue birds, and even a few horny toads on this 5-acre property.

Keeping with the green theme that domes are accustomed, a variety of reclaimed materials were used when remodeling this home. You'll see material from old barns, snow fences, cellars, bridges, and decks mixed with stainless steel appliances, marble tile back splashes, concrete counter tops, new solid pine doors, and large wood/metal clad windows. A newly added game room features a pool table, bar and half bath.

On the inside this 2200 square foot home has a 24-foot ceiling in the great room, a custom fireplace, and a loft. Bedroom 1 is on main level and has a queen bed. Bathroom 1 features a tiled, step-in shower. Also on the main level is a den with a comfortable sofa sleeper and a television and through the den a laundry room. Upstairs there is a loft with a sectional sofa and fantastic views, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and bedroom 3 has a triple bunk bed with twin beds and an additional twin bed. Bathroom 2 has a tub/shower combo.

Come stay at our dome on the range; relax, enjoy the area, barbeque a great meal, take in the scenery, and toast the day with a warm s'more and a cool drink.

*Please note the garage is not accessible to guests.

Yellowstone Vacation

The Dome House is perfect for the setting, and it is clean, well-maintained, managed and supplied. The views from every side of the house are amazing. While much of the area is remote, the house is conveniently located about halfway between Yellowstone’s east entrance and Cody. My call before the stay was immediately returned with friendly, helpful advice. Great house!!

Beautiful West Getaway

We spent 6 nights in this beautiful Dome house. It was a perfect location for visiting Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and Cody. The kids loved the game room. When we arrived the internet did not work. Turns out a wind storm had blown the receiver off the roof. The property manager was quick to respond and get the service provider onsite to get it fixed. We would definitely stay here again if we come back out to this area!

Breathtaking

The home has absolutely breathtaking views! It is very clean and well supplied. The internet is horrible but probably expected when you are in the mountains! Highly recommend

This house deserves every bit of a 5 star rating!

If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would! The location was great for access to Yellowstone and Cody ( we spent more time here than we planned ) . The property owner and management company were both very quick with responses with a couple questions I had - before and during our stay! The home fit our family of 7 with room to spare - the views were absolutely stunning - when we find ourselves back in the area will definitely be looking up availability at the dome house ! Thank you for a fantastic home base !

I've stayed in numerous places, but this was my favorite by far. Beautiful location, scenery, well-equipped, everything you could ask for placed between Cody and Yellowstone. I hope to come back soon.

Perfect place to stay!!

We were a family/friend combo of 9 and it worked absolutely perfect for us. Everything on the listing was as described, and it had everything you could need. It was very clean, furniture was nice, beds/pillows were very comfortable! The game room was perfect. Morning coffee view never got old - it was stunning. Check-in and check-out process was smooth. The distance to Cody wasn’t bad. Just far enough to feel like you weren’t in the middle of everything, but still close enough to not feel like you drive forever. If I could give this more than 5 stars I certainly would.

Great vacation

Amazing home in perfect Yellowstone location

My partner and I went with our 4 boys, ages 9 - 14, and their grandpa. The home was the perfect size and layout. The master bedroom with bath is on the first floor so we had privacy from everyone. The open kitchen with grill on the deck made making breakfast and dinner every day a breeze. The fire pit was perfect and the views amazing!!! Lots of great star gazing and the neighbors are far away. We will stay there again and recommend to everyone!

Awesome view of wapiti valley

We really enjoyed our stay here,everything was as described. as a few others mentioned the deck boards are a little rough but we had no issues with them. And also the a/c units don’t keep up when it’s really hot outside. Very nice location for a Cody/Yellowstone stay,gas station at end of road is awesome too!

The property is well appointed and in one of the most beautiful places that we have traveled. The Wapiti valley is a special place with a ton of great activities, we wont forget our time in the dome house!

The Dome House is fantastic. Super nice, super clean, well stocked, beautiful views and super hosts. The location was great for ending Yellowstone as well as accessing Cody. You will not regret your stay here.

Amazing place

This house exceeded our expectations! It was beautiful and nicely decorated. The laundry room was great and had a charging station for all devices. The view was AMAZING and the location was great right between Cody and Yellowstone. Beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunks. I would 10/10 stay there again! We didn't want to leave!

Can’t say enough about this place! Beautiful location, house is great. The triple bunk bed blew our kids minds. Every detail of the house was impressive. Great home base to explore Yellowstone, and to just chill out and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Thanks for sharing your home!

Space to roam inside and out

The dome house worked great for my family's vacation! Don't let the exterior pictures fool you, there is a ton of space inside. All the beds we needed plus 2 large living rooms and a den as well as a great kitchen. The panoramic views from the wrap-around deck are beautiful. The location worked well for seeing sights in Cody as well as traveling into Yellowstone. Thanks for sharing your house with us! Ryan Minnesota

Our favorite rental house - ever!

My family and I went on a 3-week road trip around the United States, staying in many different places, and the Dome House was our favorite rental out of everywhere we stayed! Actually, it's our favorite rental out of everywhere we've ever stayed. The unique shape of the house, beautiful location of the property, and the tasteful decor used inside the house made me never want to leave.

Wonderful Mountain Vacation

This is a beautiful, comfortable home! It fit the 8 of us perfectly with plenty of space for everyone. The views are amazing!! We enjoyed the high end touches and decor. A previous review commented on the deck splinters. We also suggest always wearing some sort of shoe while on the deck. The only downfall to this property is staying cool in hot temperatures. There are room air conditioning units that have exhaust conduits out of the room. The units put off a lot of heat and many times came disconnected from the wall dumping very hot air into an already hot space. Do close the shades to keep it cool during the hot days. The property had several fans, which was our only saving grace to sleep. The property management was very helpful. We would come back here again...we’d know how to keep it cool!

Amazing space and attention to detail

I honestly believe I have never stayed at another vacation with such attention to detail. I really appreciated and respected the information sheet, the separate recycle bins next to laundry, the closet that had the linen labeled for certain bed sizes, fans in the closets, bear spray, etc. Everything was though and Sandi the host are quick to resolve any issue at hand. Would definitely stay at their property again!

Dome House

Beautiful house that is well kept. Wonderful views. Kitchen equipped with what was expected and so much more. Lamar travel buddy was left for us to take on our travels. We also arrived to fi d a small treat in the refrigerator for us.........wine, carmel corn, cheese and sausage roll. Great property to stay at. Would definitely use the property again.

Perfect place for a family

Very roomy and comfortable. The only thing challenging was the reclaimed deck wood-kids needed shoes on to avoid slivers in their feet. I’d stay there again.

Perfect!

This place had everything we needed. While it was still 20 min to to the town and 30 min to Yellowstone, it was still a good location. We enjoyed the house. It was perfect for our group. Would definitely recommend using this lodging company and also the place. It was an all around good experience.

As is the case with many of these "hobby" homes the dome had fallen into disrepair after the passing of the original owner/builder. Having extensive experience in renovations they committed to bringing new life to this geodesic dome. The resulting home is very modern and welcoming while still holding true to the original owners vision for a distinctive property.
