The house is amazing. It has everything you need and the location and the view cannot be beaten. Marika is always quick to help or respond to any queries. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great location and views of the harbour

Great property with all the amenities needed for the week. Marika was lovely with great communication and the property was exactly what we were looking for, for our family holiday together, thank you Lea.

Incredible stay in Balmain East!

We had a wonderful experience staying in Balmain East. Fantastic home with well equipped kitchen, great master suite, and plenty of room for our family. Super convenient to the ferry and local buses. Highly recommended!

Great Property

Our stay at Balmain East was one of the best family holidays we have had. The property was amazing, location fantastic and Marika was great to deal with. Would highly recommend this property.

Would stay again!

Exceptional house, location, and host. Walking distance to ferries that will take you wherever you’d like to go and walking distance to a great neighborhood with exception food, coffee, etc. View from the house is incredible and amenities are top notch.

Stunning home and location. The excellently equipped home made celebrating a 60th birthday in style. Excellent host who made us feel so welcome - we will be back!

Lovely house in a great location

We loved our stay in Marika's lovely house. The location is great, close to restaurants, pubs and shops. Ferry and bus stop 5 minutes walk away, giving access to the whole city. The views from the house were great and the house had everything we needed. Marika always responded quickly and was a great host.

Marika was wonderful to work with and the house has a spectacular view! We had a fantastic multi-generational visit (pets included). We felt a few of the mattresses could have been updated as well as the barbeque. The only downside was the construction going on next door, of which we were not advised. It started at 7am and stopped about 5pm. A few of us were having a working holiday and this made it hard to listen to all day. That said, it is a beautiful location and a fantastic neighbourhood and a lovely home.

I’m sorry to hear that the mattresses and barbeque didn’t meet expectations—this is helpful and I will definitely look into updating these. Regarding the construction next door, I completely understand how disruptive that must have been, especially while trying to work. I’m honestly not happy about the situation either. Unfortunately, anything happening outside the property is out of my control, and I wasn’t given clear notice myself. I can only hope the works will be finished soon. Thank you again for your stay and for taking the time to share your thoughts—it’s genuinely appreciated.

Birthday Gathering

Great stay and perfect for our family. Two kitchens and two living rooms. Outside balcony and patio overlooking harbour. Kids loved the pool. BBQ was great. Fabulous harbour views.

Gorgeous Views, Quiet Area

We enjoyed our stay at Balmain East. The home has a beautiful view, and is very close to the ferry wharf. The area is quiet and feels very safe. We found the beds to be comfortable. Marika was very easy to communicate with both prior to and during the stay. The home is well suited to families.

Not 1 thing wrong or missed. Amazing amount of kitchen items and views are the best. Lucky enough to have fireworks 5/6 nights there.Highly recommend

The weather in Sydney was awful but what made the week was the fantastic property. We all absolutely loved the views and it felt like home from home. The ferry to Sydney was so close and easy to use! The owners son was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We cannot recommend the house highly enough (and we don’t usually leave reviews). A very special time in a special property!

Family get together

Our family came together for a wedding. The house was well appointed. Maria was a lovely host and always available. The house is centrally located in beautiful Balmain! A home away from home.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. It had a wonderful view and was in a nice quiet location.We were pondering the need for a car but found the public transport very good. Just a short walk to the ferry that takes you into the city where trains and buses were aplenty.The house had everything we could need and our host Marika was very helpful indeed. Definitely happy to recommend this house to future visitors.Worthy of note is that the lower floor is pretty much a self contained apartment in its own right. Great for the family dynamic we were travelling with.

We had a fabulous stay at the property. Marika couldn’t have been more helpful and the set up of the house worked really well for our 3 families staying there. The position is fantastic and very easy to access public transport. Parking at the house is a little tricky especially if you have a large car but Marika gave us advice where to park that was very convenient. Marika provided a generous food start up, the kitchen was very generously set up and it was great to have a laundry with an indoor clothes line. The views over the Harbour are stunning!

We had a lovely stay in Balmain East. Great views over the harbour watching boats go by all day. It was lovely Marika provided a lot of basics such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. one night we even had fireworks go off in front of the house in the harbour. We did see the fireworks in Darling Harbour but view is slightly restricted to fireworks going up in the sky. It was easy to catch the ferry and the bus went straight into the CBD in about 20mins. So no need for a car when staying at the house. We used the bus to go to the shops in Balmain too. We would love to stay there again when next in Sydney.
