Right out of "Southern Living", large bedroom with queen bed, Laura Ashley linens, wonderful 1920's bedroom suite, fully equipped kitchen. Smart TV, cable with Netflix, all the channels. Front porch with dinning table and four chairs, additional seating with view of the garden and mountains. Gas and charcoal grill. Charming little cottage for folks that desire a luxurious and comfortable place to relax and marvel at these wonderful mountains. Lovely cottage, very sweet and cozy. One of the most comfortable beds! Great location for enjoying wonderful Black Mountain on foot. Hosts were super helpful, warm, and welcoming. Can't wait to stay again next year.

Great location, quiet cottage that is beautifully decorated with a manicured courtyard. The only Bathroom is not on the same floor as the only bedroom. Upstairs ac where bedroom is could not be controlled by thermostat. The stepping stones to get to the cottage were slick in the rain.

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful and cozy home! The location was within walking distance to food and the small little town. Great food and very nice people. We would definitely stay here again.

Had I known how amazing this property was, I’d have stayed the whole week! The property is awesome and the cottage is just so beautiful. I loved the front porch swing and the decor of the whole place. The gardens were just stunning. I loved to walk around and check out every detail. The location was perfect -easy walk to downtown area and even closer to the lake! But honestly, the best part was the hostess, Shirley. She is interesting and fun and I felt like family. I could’ve stayed there and just hung out with her, her doggo , Sugar and her housekeeper, Shelia. I went on this trip alone and came back with 2 new friends. No wonder people keep coming back. I am already looking for a weekend to return!

The Country Girl Cottage is a peaceful hideaway behind the owner's home, nestled in beautiful, well-tended gardens. The front porch on the cottage is peaceful and wonderful for taking in the view of the gardens, reading, enjoying your morning coffee or your evening wine. The cottage itself is well-equipped and quaintly decorated with antique pieces and also a comfortable sofa for relaxing. The kitchen is small, but perfectly equipped for a weekend stay. We have now stayed at The Country Girl 4 times and will happily return in the future.

Perfect place to explore Black Mountain because we were within walking distance of everything. Hostess was fun and helpful with recommendations. Her gardens were gorgeous.

We enjoyed our third stay at The Country Girl Cottage over Easter weekend. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and decorated with antiques and other quaint, cozy decor. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous including many varieties of hostas and Japanese maples. The owner/host is most welcoming and helpful. We will return again in July!

Not a spec or dust/dirt in the entire cottage - host is beyond friendly. True love and care has been put into the entire property from the garden to the interior. Would recommend going in the spring/summer to take full advantage of the views.

Everything was absolutely perfect, this little cottage is the cutest I’ve ever seen! The decor was stunning. And we were completely comfortable. This little house has everything it needs and it’s so close in walking distance to the downtown. 10 out of 10.

Shirley and Shelia were great hosts welcoming us to this charming cottage and town. Shirley was a great communicator and had acquired a pack ‘n’ play ready for our infant daughter to make our journey a little easier. We’re so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay.

This place is amazing! So cute with wonderful gardens. Also, the walk to downtown is no more than 5-7 minutes and it is flat. Very attentive host.

Johnathan and his lovely wife with two toddlers left the cottage in pristine shape, they are welcome back anytime. Great guest.
