A Hidden Gem

A hidden gem in Cape Coral. Quiet boating community but close to everything! (Restaurants, groceries, theatre) The community is very friendly and hosts lots of activities.

Perfect place to throw your anchor

Stayed month of January 2016 The condo is beautiful , all utensils,dishes,towels etc. brand new. The owners were wonderful to deal with. I would strongly recommend this unit.

Spring 2023

We had a fabulous time at this property. Everything is very convenient for your stay. This includes restaurants, shopping, outdoor activities, pool, club house etc. The area is very quiet and perfect for a low key, relaxing vacation. The condo was well equipped with all that you could possibly need. My only suggestion would be to have a dust buster or something equivalent. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice

The place is comfortable, beautifully decorated; very well furnished with everything you need in tableware, linens, common tools, supplies, printer — if reasonable, it was there. Location is convenient to grocery, restaurants, stores etc.

Cape Coral Condo

My husband & I just spent 3 winter months at this condo. The condo is beautifully decorated, has comfortable beds& furniture, high end towels & bedding, every utensil & device you could possibly need to cook & bake. The kitchen appliances are less than a year old & work well. The description & pictures are accurate. Sitting in the lanai, that overlooks a canal & into the mangrove forest was very relaxing & a favorite spot for our cat & dog to sun in the afternoon. The gated condo community is very safe, but also beautifully landscaped & maintained. The heated pool & hot tub were enjoyable to use & very close to the condo. The Thurmers were gracious & helpful hosts. It was delightful to meet them. Being able to bring our pets was very much appreciated. There is a paved walking path around the whole complex that is almost a mile. The path is used by dog walkers & others out getting some fresh air & exercise. We were very pleased with these accommodations & can highly recommend a stay here.

Anchors away

Dan and Mary Ann's Cape Coral Anchors Away condo was perfect. Attention to detail for all of your needs for a home away from home. Found the community to be very friendly and provided a safe environment. I would stay here again.

Island Cove

Staying at Island Cove was great. The people were so friendly and welcoming. The amenities were even better. We have never rented such a well furnished/stocked condo as the Thurmer’s Anchor Inn. Having rented other condos in the area, this was by far the best. Thank you, Dan and Mary Ann!

Another great month at a great place.

We enjoyed our February stay again this year. Everything from last years review still applies. It got even better as all of the seawalls have been repaired/replaced from the last hurricane and the walkway around the complex is in excellent shape.

Excellent Place, Excellent Location, and Excellent Owners

I would highly recommend this rental property to others. We will be staying here whenever we can on future visits to Cape Coral. Mary Ann and Dan are great people and were great to work with. The location is great also. The Island Cove grounds and common areas are very well maintained. We were within walking distance of shopping areas one way and the nature preserve the other way. Take your pick if you're into walking. If you'd rather relax, sitting in the lanai or outside along the canal facing the eco preserve is wonderful for sunrises, sunsets, or any other time. The fish sure like jumping out of the water a lot here. None of them jumped into the kayak though. The 2 person kayak that is available with the unit was great to have. Paddles are provided, I had my own life preserver. It is a very stable 'sit on' kayak. It takes about 1/2 hour of kayaking through the canals to get to the Caloosahatchi River and the entrance to the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, a very nice place to paddle around amongst the mangroves. This community pool area is very nice. Our unit was the closest one to the pool so it's very convenient, but it's far enough away that you don't get any 'pool noise' at our unit. The pool is used a lot so you get to meet a lot of other people. There are always lounge chairs available, including enough in an area with shade if you prefer that. An occasional dolphin and manatee are also seen swimming by in the canal outside the pool. The grills for cooking are outside of the pool area in a well lit area convenient for cooking after dark if needed. They are very clean also. Everything we needed was in the condo for indoor or outdoor cooking. The inside of the condo was exceptional. Very clean, well decorated, and comfortable. Internet access was very good and I liked having the printer when needed for the 'work' that must still get done while on vacation. There are plenty of golf courses with 15 minutes. Lumpys, on Cleveland Ave, in Fort Myers has a great brochure listing all of the area golf courses. I'd recommend Magnolia Landing if you like a challenge on a very picturesque course. The other public courses in the area I always like getting to are Coral Oaks and Palmetto Pines.

Great Florida Vacation

We loved our stay at Coral Cove. The condo was warm and spacious and loved the view. The sidewalks around the canal were torn up for replacement after the hurricane so we weren't able to walk as much, but still were able to walk the dogs. Condo is quiet but close to shopping and restaurants.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Island Cove Unit 1013. It was tastefully decorated, conveniently located and especially safe. Glad we found this condo but sad that it is already rented for next year.

An excellent vacation stay.

We wish to thank the Thurmer's for our relaxing month of December 2016. They were wonderful to help us with a fast response to our questions and the accommodations couldn't have been better. They thought of everything to make a stay as comfortable as our own home. The people we met while there, and the staff, were welcoming and friendly. We had a great time and highly recommend renting from them. Thank you again for sharing your condo with us.

Quiet elegant condo

Beautiful condo overlooking a nature preserve and in a gated community. It is convenient to stores and shopping. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything I needed to cook a meal. The pool was heaven during the hot days. The folks that own it are wonderful and great to work with. I highly recommend it for your stay in Cape Coral.

Lovely waterfront condo in Cape Coral!

The Anchor Inn is clean, updated and 'sea-side' themed~~just what you want when visiting Florida. It is near the pool and has a private and quiet view of the canal from the lanai. You won't be disappointed.
