Perfect privacy and a beautiful, panoramic view on the Coast of Winter Harbor, Maine.

Architecturally unique three-bedroom home with landscaped surroundings, extensive oceanfront, and an elegant garden room. Great views of Mount Desert Island and the Gulf of Maine. This home is close to everything yet off the beaten track, affording both privacy and convenience. View Cadillac Mountain and several coastal islands from your bedroom window. Sleep to the soothing harmonies of the tides and breathe in the cleansing ocean air. You will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The building is located at the end of a private drive and elevated to allow enhanced perspectives and sweeping views. Living room, kitchen, modern, elegant spa-bathroom with glassed-in shower, and three bedrooms that comfortably sleep up to four await you. The open concept living area is enhanced by natural light from a multitude of windows. The home is 100% solar powered. The separate garden house is an ideal setting for entertainment, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, or morning coffee and croissants.

This home accommodates 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. In some cases, an extra person can be accommodated for a fee. Please inquire.

Our rental is located in Winter Harbor. We are a 10 minute drive to the entrance of the 6 mile Schoodic Loop Road. This is the Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia. Along the scenic drive is Frazer Point Park and picnic area. As you travel to the end of the loop you will find Schoodic Institute and Schoodic Point. You can also hike or bike Schoodic Head.

* To reach the primary bedroom one ascends a spiral staircase.
* We are a one hour drive to Bar Harbor.
* Like many areas around remote and rural national parks, Internet service and cell phone reception at this location is unpredictable. If it is imperative that you have 24/7 internet and cell phone usage, we suggest you rent elsewhere.

Amazing location and views

We loved our time in Maine. This was our third visit to the Acadia National Park in a VRBO. For the nightly price, we expected a higher end experience, especially compared with other locations in the area. Pros: Privacy, amazing waterfront location, peace and quiet, beautiful sunsets Cons: small issues like the floors are old and damaged in some places, the fridge is old and has rust spots. The couches are old. The kitchen is probably better suited to 2 people, not 4, a little tough to use - no dishwasher. Bathroom best suited to 2 people, not 4. Not room to hang 4 towels to dry in the bathroom. The management was phenomenal. When we arrived, one of the beds was not usable due to a bad smell. Within a day, we had a new mattress and new linens.

Spectacular coastal views in a peaceful setting

My family and I can not say enough wonderful things about our week long stay at this beautiful Winter Harbor home. The property is secluded and peaceful - nestled within the luscious pines with spectacular coastal views and private, easy access to the rocky coastline. The house was comfortable, clean and well accommodated with lots of natural light and beautiful views from just about every room in the home - our expectations were exceeded. My family enjoyed spending time on the rocks - a front row seat to wildlife viewing, beautiful sunsets and magnificent star gazing. And the sound of the crashing waves at night while sleeping can not be beat. We highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the Winter Harbor area and can not wait to return ourselves,

Amazing Family Vacation

We like to VRBO a couple of times a year, and rarely is a home more splendid than we hoped. We loved everything about this location and our vacation. Our girls loved playing on the rocks and my husband and I enjoyed the peace and tranquility. We had a wonderful family vacation and hope to return one day!!

On the Rocks

Great place to stay. Really nice house in a location that can’t be beat. First time in Maine and I’m glad we picked this place. Very quiet and secluded. The house had great views and my kids loved just playing on the rocks. Schoodic peninsula is also fantastic. We drove it, biked it and hiked the trails. Great section of Acadia thats not super busy.

The perfect retreat!

Couldn’t of asked for a better location. Winter Harbor is a nice little community, and this property was ideal. Close to great hiking trails, amazing scenery, yet is isolated enough to make you feel like you are part of the coast. Excellent management .. highly recommend!

Well worth it.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it does not disappoint. If you want views, peace and quiet, chances of seeing harbor seals, porpoises or deer this is the place. Great new deck off the front entry. House is comfortable and feels like home. House was clean when we arrived. Easy trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor and Schoodic is 10 minutes away. Well worth the price.

Amazing views

My family and I had a great stay at the house. Everything was perfect but the views were the best. Our boys loved to climb along the rocks. All in all, we highly recommend staying at the Jordan Harbor House. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful views

My family and I had a lovely stay at this property! The views were the best part - really lovely, and you can walk down to the shore and climb along the rocks - we never saw another soul while doing that, and there were abundant mussels that my teenager enjoyed preparing for us. Clean home with comfortable beds, everything you could need in the kitchen, and wonderful communication with the host. So close to Schoodic Point, so you can explore Acadia without the crowds or traffic - bikes (electric and regular) are even available to rent in town. Another local high point was The Bakery in Winter Harbor - only open a few mornings a week, but wonderful offerings and quality; not to be missed (try their maple twist)! We're hoping to return!

Perfect Spot!

If you love hiking during the day and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean then this location can't be beat. There are many great hikes nearby and the ocean and granite ledges on your doorstep are picture perfect. The house itself is very beautiful, well maintained, and has everything you need. Our family is already looking forward to coming back!

Amazing!

Clean and comfortable home. Very easy check in. The views were undersold in the listing. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. We’ve stayed in Bar Harbor twice and Winter Harbor is FAR better. Toured the Schoodic part of Acadia this time but decided to forgo the Mt Desert Island portion this time around because the views from the house are at least as beautiful and no crowds! Saw eagles and porpoises every day and even seals a few times right from the rocks at the house. Also deer in the yard twice. For anyone who wants a place to unwind in perfect serenity this is the place! Would love to come back!

Beautiful views

Upon arrival of the property we noticed how secluded and personal it felt. The property is located on a magnificent spot with great views of the ocean and landscape. The house was clean and well maintained. The property manager kept very good communication and was very helpful with everything. Overall stay was very enjoyable and would recommend to anyone.

Perfect Acadia Trip

This beautiful house made our trip to Acadia national park perfect. The house is clean and have everything we need. The view is breath taking. We can just sit beside the dinning table enjoy the view and hear the wave sound for a whole day, especially for a raining day. We saw deer every day and even spotted a seal when we had breakfast. The owner and the cleaning team are very nice and considerate, which make our stay very comfortable! Highly recommended! Hope to have chance to stay again. :-)

Incredible views!

This was our third time staying at this property. We’ve tried other properties in the area, but we keep returning to this comfortable home because the views just can’t be beat. We also love the home’s proximity to the town of Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula (the quiet side of Acadia).
