We had a fantastic time at this beautiful cabin. Plenty of space, a convenient location, and warm, welcoming hosts. Completely recommend!

We enjoyed our long weekend at this beautiful property. It was the perfect place to get away and relax. Our four legged friend enjoyed all the space out front to lay in the grass and the trails to explore on his daily walks.

This was a quiet secluded mountain getaway. We brought our 7 month old puppy and it was a great place to let her run off lead in the field and in the woods behind the cabin. It's not near any main roads and we were even able to walk down the hill to let her see cows and chickens. It was 20 to 30 mins to restaurants and grocery so keep that in mind. A true secluded getaway.

We enjoyed having you as a renter and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We would welcome you back any time. You might have missed the section in the cabin binder about restaurants and grocery stores, but I do need to point out that we have a large modern Ingles grocery store as well as a few restaurants less than 15 minutes away in Mars Hill. It is true that you would have to go a little farther for upper end restaurants.

Great location for guests bringing dogs, well-stocked, fast communication from host. Helpful to know about the last quarter mile of the drive to the property is dirt road. Maybe the listing said that and I missed it, but sharing as FYI.

My husband and I stayed with our two dogs and it was even more special than we anticipated. Morning walks to the waterfall were a highlight! The trails are well kept and dotted with literary signage that enhance the natural surrounding beauty. The dogs loved being able to run laps around us as we hiked! They are well trained to come when called, so they were able to frolic in the large front yard untethered, enjoying the occasional dip in the pond. Communications were super easy. The hosts are very friendly when contacted, but relatively far from the house so it still felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. We reported an issue with the washing machine and they had it replaced the next day! We will definitely stay again ;) Thank you Mike and Sandy!

Relaxing stay

Beautiful property! We really enjoyed our stay. It was great for our family and dog. Our kids enjoyed fishing, walking the trails, and listening to the cows. We had a relaxing stay and really enjoyed the pumpkin bread. Thank you!

I stayed at the cabin for nearly 3 months and loved every minute. My dog was able to roam the property and even made friends with the neighbor's dog. The setting is magical. I loved waking up to the creek, birds and cows moo-ing.Mike and Sandy were attentive and great hosts while allowing for privacy.Definitely best for someone comfortable with a home that has clearly seen pets and has a rustic quality to it. It's country living for sure. Highly recommend!

This property is exactly as listed. A very nice relaxing cabin at a reasonable rate. You will not regret booking with these friendly and reasonable hosts. We stayed for a month and were very pleased with the cabin.

Nice Place!

This is a comfortable rural setting with easy access to Mars Hill, Asheville, the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is room to roam onsite, and it is very dog-friendly. The hosts are available, but unobtrusive. We enjoyed our month at the cabin.

Great getaway near Asheville

We rented the cottage with our dog. Perfect for us. We really enjoyed our stay. We hiked up the trail on the property daily with the great waterfall. Dog loved it. The house itself is small as advertised but had everything we needed. Bed in master was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Relaxing getaway with friend and pups.

The location is so peaceful. The cabin is so quaint, comfortable, and clean. We sat on the porch drinking coffee, watching for deer strolling through the pature, looking forward to the evening firefly show. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the creek, and checking out the banks of the pond. I could easily stay a month or more. It is a dream vacation spot if relaxation is what you are looking for. The host has put a lots of thought into little things in the cabin to make your stay more enjoyable.

Perfect 4th of July Retreat

We always search for a cabin to take our dogs and ourselves away from the fireworks madness of Raleigh. This place was fantastic. First, the only sounds were the cows across the road. And, the cabin was a wow! The owners provided everything you could need; the home is roomy enough for two dogs and three adults; it was spotless (including a brand-new bbq grill) and just perfect for us. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, Sandy and Mike!

God’s Country

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin tucked away on the most beautiful property. We are a party of 5 and brought our 9 month old golden doodle as well. We had plenty of room in the cabin and it was paradise for our pup there. It was the perfect getaway from the noisy, hot city life in Florida. This place was magical. That’s the best way I can explain it. Thank you so much for letting us stay there this past week. We enjoyed everything so much and thank you also for the delicious pumpkin bread! Even my picky husband loved it: )

This is a darling gem of a place to stay. Set back away from everything, where the fireflies light up the evening and the deer come out in the morning. A perfect escape away from noise and people. And the hike to the waterfall was the icing on the cake. Hope we get to visit again someday.

My wife and I stayed here for a month with our dog. It was as advertised. Check in was easy and quiet relaxing area. Mike and Sandy were very friendly in our brief meeting on the driveway. The hikes behind the cabin we awesome and there was plenty of deer sightings in the front yard. Would recommend and would stay again for sure.

This cozy cabin welcomes you back from hiking all over the property! There are so many hiking trails to choose from, and then you can relax in the cabin or enjoy a fire in the fire pit. The cabin has a well-stocked kitchen, so you can create some delicious meals after your hikes. You can also test your fishing skills with a catch-and-release fishing pond out front.
