"Cabin in the City" available for your pleasure. Walk to Downtown Burnsville.
Our cabin has a clean and cozy atmosphere. Built in 1986, it has all the amenities needed for modern living. Master bedroom consists of a King bed and dresser. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The space also features a laundry room with full size washer & dryer. Roomy kitchen and dining room will suit a modest gathering of six persons. The living room features cozy two (2) half moon couches.
Guests have the entire upstairs available to themselves. The cabin is a duplex with a tenant living in the finished basement. There is no access to either level from the other.
Front porch holds outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather that exists in the Western North Carolina mountains and a charcoal grill for your outdoor entertainment.
The Cabin in the City is named so because it resembles a true cabin but it is located in the city limits. Within walking distance to downtown Burnsville, a charming small town in the mountains about 35 to 40 minutes northeast of Asheville. It was established in 1834.
Burnsville is located in Yancey County. Yancey County is home to Mount Mitchell, the highest mountain East of the Mississippi River. In fact, 5 of the 10 highest mountains in Eastern America are located here.
Yancey County is home to waterfalls, campgrounds, backroads, hiking trails and clean rivers.
The Toe River region, which takes its name from the Native American word, Estatoee, is home to hundreds of artists, crafters, musicians and writers.
The annual Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair is held on Burnsville Town Square the first weekend of August with arts, crafts, food vendors and live music throughout the event. 9am to 5pm Friday & Saturday

Great property-nice fenced front yard. Kitchen well stocked. The games were a nice find and finding the bucket of hot wheel cars was a hit for my grandson that dropped in while were there a few times. Hosts were very responsive with questions. We enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed out stay at the cabin. It was close to everything we wanted to see. It was very clean, quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay there again. Great host and a beautiful home.

Cozy little house near downtown Burnsville
We had a great stay at this property with our two kids and two dogs. The house was very clean and well furnished. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be sure to select this property!

Burnsville cabin
great location and a nice little house. The house was very clean and comfortable. The little fenced in yard was perfect for my small dog.

Mountain Cabin in the city
Quant little town with several good restaurant options. The cabin was perfect for our visit. Nice and clean with everything you need to be comfortable.

Quiet and close to everything,
Super nice cabin and the most comfortable bed and pillows you will find. Very quiet daytime and night. Minutes from everything in town.

We had a wonderful stay at this little cabin in the city! It was quaint, charming, and perfectly suited our needs for a comfortable getaway. The kitchen was well stocked, making it easy to cook meals during our stay, and the heating kept the space warm and cozy throughout.Some of the furnishings were a bit older, and one of the bedrooms was missing a dresser (but a large closet and 2 luggage racks), but these were small details that didn’t take away from the overall experience. The cabin had a welcoming, homey feel, and we truly enjoyed our time there.We would happily stay again!

John and I are originally from Florida. We have had a vacation home here in Burnsville for 25 years. We love the area and weather. We decided to downsize and sold our home in Florida. We eventually bought this "cabin in the city" as an investment and decided to share our love of the mountains with others.

This cabin has fully finished basement that provides income which was a big deciding factor for our wanting to invest in it. It has that unique cabin feature that also drew our attention. It is situated in a great neighborhood and is a stones throw away from restaurants and shopping.
