A beautiful view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was beautiful. Nice location and beautiful view. Only 2 complaints. Ants...!!! They were downstairs in the living room, they kept coming up through the floor. The more we killed- they just kept coming. The bottom of every shower needed to be cleaned better. But all in all, it was a nice clean place to visit. I’d rent again. 8/10

Unfortunate Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The day we checked in, the 3rd floor toilet was clogged and we were unable to flush the toilet for the entire stay. Anytime we ran the washer mashine, the downstairs toilet drained all over the floor. The downstairs floor was infested with ants and we had to buy ant spray which still didn’t work for the ant problem. One of the rocking chairs on the deck was broken and unable to be used. One of the pull out couches, was stuck and we were unable to pull it out, therefore some guests had to sleep on the floor. The jacuzzi tub jets also did not work. I brought this to management’s attention and just received an apology. They did not attempt to make things right. Aside from all of the issues, the location was convenient and close to everything, and we got to see bears multiple times outside our cabin, which we loved.
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 17 sep. 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the convenient location and had the opportunity to see bears around the cabin—those encounters can certainly be a memorable part of a Smoky Mountain stay. We do want to mention that the concerns in your review were reported to us after your departure. Had these issues been brought to our attention during your stay, we would have had the opportunity to send our maintenance and property teams out to inspect and address them while you were still at the cabin. We always encourage guests to contact us as soon as an issue arises so we can work toward a resolution during their stay rather than learning about the concerns after checkout. We’re also glad you enjoyed the location and the wildlife around the property. Thank you again for your feedback. We value the opportunity to improve and hope you’ll consider staying with us again so we can provide the experience you expected.

Guest Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed. The cabin was old and outdated and was very dirty. Things were extremely ran down. The odor alone was horrible in the lowest level of the house. Mold was growing on the patio doors. The carpet was horrible to say the very least. The door knob on the lower level bathroom was loose and at times we had trouble getting out of the bathroom. Some of the rocking chairs needed repairs.
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 30 jun. 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize that the cabin did not meet your expectations. The cleanliness, maintenance, and condition issues you described, including the odor, mold, carpeting, bathroom door, and rocking chairs, are certainly not the experience we strive to provide. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams for review and corrective action. Please know that we keep staff on hand to happily assist with any cabin issues during your stay 24/7. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention as it helps us improve for future guests.

A Mountain View of trees

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the cabin had a great amount of space and filled our needs of 8. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, could have used a 13 x 9 cake pan. The carpet could be replaced. The resort pool was close to the cabin. I was a little disappointed in the "View", probably should change the name since the trees have taken over the views of the mountains
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 28 jul. 2025
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback on your stay at A Mountain View Theater Lodge. We are truly so very glad to hear the cabin provided plenty of space for your group and that the kitchen met most of your needs—we will definitely take note of the suggestion to add a 13 x 9 cake pan for future guests. We also appreciate your comments about the carpet and will pass that along to our maintenance team as we continuously look for ways to improve. As for the view, we understand your disappointment and truly appreciate your honest input. The natural growth around the cabin has changed over time, and we are actively looking into trimming options to help restore more of the original mountain view experience. Please know that we keep staff on hand to happily assist with any cabin issues during your stay 24/7. We are happy you enjoyed the convenient location near the resort pool and hope to welcome you back in the future! Remember, as a repeat visitor you will save 10% on future stays.
