Quiet country house, at 3,5 Kms from medieval town center and shops, near many historical sites, set in the peaceful countryside of the Dordogne with extensive views over lush hills from main rooms, and balcony, overlooking the pool area.
Private pool in 2000 m² flowered garden, with car park and gates.

Accommodates from 2 to 5 people maximum in comfortable rooms with traditional French furniture. TV with satellite reception in all rooms.
• Large living room/dining room with fully operating chimney and wood provided for an evening blaze.

• Two bedrooms, one with two beds 90 x 190, other with king size bed,180 x 200 + single bed, 90 x 190, new bedding with continental quilts or blankets. Inbuilt cupboards.

A beautiful place to stay near Sarlat

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful property, the owner was exceptionally helpful throughout and we had a wonderful family holiday. Would highly recommend this property.

Tranquility

Tranquil is how the owner described her property, very fitting. Beautiful retreat after touring the many places of interest nearby. So clean, comfortable and thoughtfully outfitted.

Great Holiday in wonderful house

A perfect setting in an amazing house with the best views ever. Nicole and Patrick were always helpful but never intrusive.The weather was heatwave and we were very grateful for the best air conditioning we have ever experienced.We highly recommend this house and it's owners.

Gorgeous backyard

A beautiful home and a fantastic location. Stupendous patio. You will want to spend all your day sitting on the terrace looking over the gorgeous backyard, and pool.

Summer Holiday - Dordogne

A fantastic house for our 2 week holiday. The house was very clean with all that you would need for a family holiday. The pool was amazing with all towels and bed linen provided. Many thanks.

Wonderful week

We had a lovely stay at the property. The owners have thought of everything and were extremely welcoming and helpful. The outdoor area is stunning. It’s unusual to find such a great outdoor area/facilities with a two bedroom property in a great location and this is why we choose it. Lots of activities in the area

Magnificent

Beautiful house, very comfortable and central to so many wonderful attractions Sarlat/ le roque gageac/ beynac/ domme/ Lascaux etc the outside area including the pool, BBQ, seating areas, boules court and table tennis really made our stay wonderful.

Let me start with the positives: the house was spacious and well appointed, the kitchen especially.The negatives are many: the house is advertised as having AC. It has a small mini-split in the entryway and fans. The cool air never reached the bedroom and bathroom despite strategically positioning fans. The owner speaks no English. The directions she provided to the house were wrong. We were supposed to call and tell her when we arrived so we called to say we couldn't find the house. She kept hanging up because she didn't understand. When we finally found the house the first time, there were 2 older adults in back. They seemed perplexed and were not expecting us. Neither spoke English so we thought we were at the wrong place and we set off to find the house again. One hour later and back at the same house, the gentleman came up with our reservation paperwork containing the same information I gave him the first time we arrived. The same thing happened at check out. Nicole came up to give us information after I messaged the "owner" on the VRBO app and received instructions including a later check out than posted at the site. I finally understood that she does not send the messages- Marie Louise does so she had no idea what I was talking about even when I Google translated it. The view shown on the VRBO site no longer exists. Shrubs have grown up to totally block it. After many years of renting VRBOs in the U S. and abroad, this is our first bad experience. Disappointing.

The property itself was very nice and extremely clean, and the house had everything we needed. It’s also important to note that no English is spoken on site.However, our stay was significantly disrupted by continuous construction at the neighbouring property. We arrived on Good Friday, and by 8am on Easter Saturday we were woken by loud digging, machinery and heavy equipment. This continued for long periods throughout the entire week starting early morning and continuing well into the afternoon.Although the owner apologised when we raised the issue, the construction had clearly begun before our arrival. We were not given any advance notice or the opportunity to reconsider or rebook, which would have been essential information when choosing a holiday property. Instead, we found ourselves spending our holiday next to an active building site, which had a major impact on our ability to relax and enjoy our stay.

A true restorative vacation

A lovely gracious home with a beautiful view about 2 miles from city. Awaken to bird songs, enjoy the flower gardens, home is equipped with everything you might need plus many extras. The owner is warm and helpful with a generosity of spirit. Easy access to Europcar, market and train station.

A slice of paradise

The house is well proportioned, bright, airy and light. The pool is amazing, super clean and a very good size. The pool is set in an amazing garden. So the view from the balcony above is amazing, with the further view over the hills and forests below the property. Throughly enjoyed our stay and both at the house and Sarlat and the surrounding area.

Very enjoyable

Very well equipped inside and out. Very quiet location. Needs better internal Wi-Fi - signal drops in bedroom. Another AC unit would be better. Pool area is well done and in excellent order. Delightful owner.

Exceptional accommodation, excellent facilities.

We have just completed a 2 week stay at this quiet, relaxing property. The house was extremely comfortable, all modern appliances, excellent wifi, spacious, everything supplied and a very welcoming owner. It's 3km out of town so you must have a car. We can't believe how great it was. Fantastic. 11 out of 10!

A Piece of Heaven

From the moment my wife and I arrived we were treated by Catherine with great generosity as she welcomed us to her beautiful built home. The apartment is spacious, spotless and well equipped. The beds are extremely comfortable for a good night's sleep and Catherine supplies you with an abundance of towels. The pool is a joy and the surrounding area with a barbecue is a delight. We have taken many photographs to bring back with us to Ireland to recommend to our family and friends. Many thanks for such an enjoyable ten day stay.

Wonderful

Nicole’s home is lovely. The outside photos all do justice, but the interior is far more elegant and spacious than expected. We don’t speak French and Nicole doesn’t speak English but we were able to email and translate the important stuff so all good. Nicole stays in the apartment below but completely private for guest. We’d come back tomorrow

We spent two wonderful weeks this June in this property with Catherine who was very welcoming but left you in peace unless needed. Although we mainly ate on the balcony there are loads of places to eat around the garden. The kitchen had every bit of equipment imaginable with a boulangerie about one mile away and Carrefour just 8 Kms away. The property is quite high up with lovely distant views. If you have children, they’ll love it, pool, enclosed trampoline, netball stand, table tennis table,, . whilst we were there there were cuckoos which were lovely to hear. We enjoyed every moment and loved returning after busy days out!

Stunning setting, comfort, relaxation

The house is great, looked after really well and extremely clean. There was everything you need in the kitchen. The lady even left us some juice, wine, and water to welcome us. There are plenty of towels and bedding. There is air conditioning so it kept the house cool. The owner lives downstairs but she’s extremely polite and minds her own business. I wish we spoke more French to be able to converse better with her. One thing I would note is that there were quite a lot of mosquitos. People should remember that the villa is surrounded by greenery but that comes with all sorts of ecosystems. We got some mosquito spray and it was fine. Overall, gorgeous stay!

Gorgeous house, garden and view!

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful home. We did a lot of research to get someone that had the feel of the area with character and charm and this home definitely nailed that. Very homely, traditional decor and furniture but all the necessities inside and outside the house you would need. Amazing views from the house/balcony was a real highlight, the best from all we looked at. House was clean, all practical things thought of with towels, linen, kitchen equipment.Nicole very kindly kept the pool open for us even though it was the last week of October and with sun every day with 23/24C it was much used! One thing to note - the location on VRBO map has the house in central Sarlat but it’s not, the listing rightly says it’s 3.5k outside Sarlat, so not sure why the map location is different. Also we wanted to be south of Sarlat near the Greenway cycle route and so we asked which side of Sarlat it was and were told by Louis, the booking assistant, that it was north of Sarlat and so we don’t book for the first few weeks of exploring but upon deciding to book anyway, discovered that it’s actually dead west of Sarlat which was better for us in the end. Otherwise all the communications were great and Nicole the host was amazing and helpful with lots of things and wanting to make our stay comfortable. We hope to visit again for sure!

Una casa perfecta

la casa es maravillosa, mejor aun que en las fotos, la propietaria encantadora, muy atenta a todo lo que necesites, pero muy discreta, la casa es perfecta, no le falta un detalle, hemos pasado una semana santa estupenda, esperamos volver pronto y poder disfrutar de esa maravillosa piscina.

We had a wonderful stay at Nichole’s home near Sarlat. Nichole was such a sweet, welcoming host, she speaks only French and fortunately my partner speaks enough to communicate the basics, and we managed just fine. The house itself was beautiful and spotless, both inside and out. We loved the quiet, peaceful setting with gorgeous views, just a short 10-minute drive from Sarlat, close enough for convenience but far enough to feel like a true escape. The private pool and ping pong table were a great bonus for relaxing afternoons.Everything about this stay was perfect. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat near Sarlat with a lovely host.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison avec sa cuisine très bien équipée. L'emplacement est très tranquille et le panaroma est magnifique.
