Family getaway

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Exactly as advertised and owner was very responsive. We loved the deck just off the beach and the views were amazing. We would (and may) book again!

Perfect family get away

Met here with extended family from all over the country. We rented the East and West side. We had everything we needed and had a great week. The owner, Amanda was awesome.

Perfect getaway

We have been coming to Emerald Isle for over 20 years and have stayed in multiple rentals. This was our first time using VRBO and we were not disappointed. Everything we could have needed was on the property, the house was clean and well taken care of. We had a great vacation and look forward to coming back for years to come.

Nebraska meets Emerald Isle

I am local to the area but my family from Nebraska came for our 2nd annual family reunion at the beach! This house was very clean, had all the amenities, plus extras, and the owners were wonderful to work with. This house more than met our expectations and we plan to be back!

Oceanfront rental

The property is great, but when renting both sides with small children it was difficult to keep track of where kitchenware and other items belonged. Very well stocked rental.

Summer 202(

Had a wonderful time at Summerplace relaxing on the beach. We weren’t able to get in the ocean much(red flags). The time with family is priceless. Lovely home!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sumerplace! Marge is an attentive and responsive host – answering our questions and, checked in with us to see if we needed anything. She is friendly and wanted to ensure we could contact her anytime. My family immediately loved this place! The space and separate rooms were perfect for our multigenerational family (we rented both sides). Our age range was 5-73 years, and included a first grader, teens, 20-somethings, adults, and of course grandma :) We were able to enjoy each other’s company, and yet have our own spaces. The house is nicely furnished; the upper and lower decks were very pleasant to relax on while enjoying the beautiful beach and waves. Oh, but the location!! It is perfect! The walkway (with an additional seating area) is well placed and lovely too. We totally enjoyed our time at the sea, and we all hope to return next year! I can honestly say this was our best vacation – I think we’ve found our perfect spot.

Family Vacation

The property was just as advertised. We rented both sides of the duplex for our family. There were plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, games, Shibumis, etc. The house was clean and comfortable and very well equipped with all the amenities listed, plus more. The owners were very nice and in touch with us all week to be sure all was well. We had a wonderful time and we definitely will rent again.

This house was perfect for our big family. It had everything we needed and then some. The location was great and the beds were very comfortable! The convenience of walking from the porch to the beach was so nice! And the host was extremely helpful and did an excellent job of communicating from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent beachfront home. One of the cleanest rentals I've ever seen. Ideal sleeping arrangements for large families. Ice cold AC, never had to touch the thermostat. Two decently stocked kitchens (a plus for large families who cook every meal while on vacation). A spacious deck with seating for many and even an upper level with beautiful morning and evening views. Appears well stocked with higher end beach gear accessible to renters [we did not investigate utility as we are a well-stocked beach family ourselves]. A well-maintained walkway extending off the deck with a large deck box for storage. A VERY VERY slight walk off the deck through the sand down to the tide line, manageable for everyone in our party. Convenient drive to stores and activities but far enough away from the crowds to have a peaceful beach sit. Daily check ins from the host and clear posted instructions for maintenance and operations.

We had a wonderful stay in this beach house. We went as an extended family, so having two sides to the building, but being able to gather for meals on the lovely veranda was just perfect. The connecting decks allowed us to go back-and-forth when we wanted, and gave beautiful views of the beach, but there was plenty of room for anyone who wanted privacy to withdraw a bit.The kitchens are not fancy, but are everything you would need at the beach, the pottery, pots and pans, etc. are all plentiful and the appliances easy to use.Having direct access to the beach was just wonderful and the walkway and extra deck there made it perfect for both very young and more elderly members of the family. It is a beautiful beach and the owner has left copious beach toys and chairs and wonderful sunshades called Shibumi, which are incredibly easy to set up and take down. If you want a laid-back beach week, I highly recommend this property.It was so easy and efficient to communicate with the owner, the best I’ve ever experienced.

We had an extended family vacation at the beach with families on both sides of the duplex. The house was clean and the host responsive when we had an issue with the dishwasher.

Beach front fun

We love Emerald Isle and we’re glad to find this rental for our extended family to stay in. We rented both sides of the duplex and enjoyed being on the beach. Great location!
