Beautiful lake views from the porch and the dock! The shower is amazing. I loved staying here. It was perfect for 1 person or a couple. Very comfortable and stocked with blankets, dishes, and any extras you may need. Great communication with host!

We were in town for a somber occasion & when we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a lil fairytale cabin in the woods. It was exactly as described, the view was absolutely breathtaking, and it could not have been more peaceful & serene. The perfect place to completely relax. The hosts were wonderful, provided the sweetest welcome & moved around in absolute silence if they were there. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for a couple’s getaway. I am already missing coffee on the balcony or dock & the stunning lake view.

Absolutely picturesque from the cabin or down on the dock on the lake! The hosts were gracious and very helpful when we had questions. Super cozy and a welcome relief from the hustle of life!! Would love to visit the Blue Hydrangea again.

we had a lovely stay at the Blue Hydrangea! hosts were very accommodating and there were even some surprise treats awaiting us when we arrived. so nice getting to relax by the lake for a few days - spotted many birds and soaked up lots of sun on the pier. thank you Jesse and Joy for setting up a very memorable weekend!

Excellent 4th of July Stay

This was an incredible stay over the Fourth of July with fireworks over the lake from all around. The VRBO hosts even left treats for my stay, incredible stay - will be back!

Five stars all around. Part of me doesn’t want to leave a review just so I can keep this gem hidden. The property was beautiful, it’s basically just one room and a bathroom, but fully functional for two people with a BEAUTIFUL view. The lake is serene and peaceful, it was always super quiet and calm waters(but deep! Not for swimming unless you know you’re a strong swimmer). There’s a lovely grass area right by the dock, perfect for a picnic(or if you’re lucky like me, a proposal!!!). The hosts were kind and thoughtful, even texting me to let us know about a local farmers market. They even left us a pie!! They have dish for the TV which has cable, Netflix, and Prime(plus a dvd player), they also have a few board games!! The place is fully stocked with coffee, creamer, sugar, and even teas. The fridge and freezer are small, but big enough for all our perishables for 5 days. I had my coffee on the balcony which has the most beautiful view. Suffice it to say it was an amazing stay. I would highly recommend this property to others, and we will be staying here again:)

Back again to one of my favorite "quick and close" vacation spots to escape for a few days. This was my third time staying since 2022 and I know I can rely on the comfort and peace that The Blue Hydrangea has to offer. It is truly a safe feeling respite for a solo traveller and I imagine very romantic for a couple (if I had a partner I would definitely bring them here). The lake is superb for swimming and floating around in the summer and the energy and scenery are undeniably perfect for artistic inspiration. This time I painted rocks (cheeseburger rock shown in pics), decorated a wooden planter and did a grip of writing. Unfortunately there was a burn ban and I couldn't have my usual bon fire out on the grassy lawn firepit by the dock, but the light of the moon was sufficient for night time ambiance. I saw a few eagles and dragonflies gliding around in the afternoons over the lake, as usual, with the lovely prize-winning hydrangeas still in their places. The little kitchen is easy for cooking, and it was such a treat to relax with my morning coffee or evening wine on the treehouse-like deck overlooking the water. I love the shower and the bath products, and of course the "nature-loving rustic cabin" decor. Jesse and Joy are both very friendly, interesting to talk to and wonderful hosts. They are so lucky to live here! I plan to be back soon...

What a lovely, secluded, quiet and peaceful location! And the studio is beautifully furnished with a country resort theme. Great attention to detail and all the comforts of home! I highly recommend and will return often!

Such a cute little place! We wanted to stay longer! The balcony was the perfect place to sit and have coffee and enjoy the view and smell the clean fresh air. Jesse our host was very helpful and accommodating. Place was very clean too. Thank you!
