Tucked deep in the Tucson Mountains west of Tucson proper, this newly constructed ranch-style villa is a secluded hideaway that boasts privacy and comfort. This quaint villa has 1100 sq ft of living area with mission tile porches wrapped around the entire home. A sahuaro studded 3.3 acre lot cradles the home as it blends into the undisturbed landscape just a minute's hike from Tucson Mountain Park. Tucson Mountain Park is a natural undisturbed desert enviroment.

A great location, this rental is only 10 minutes from Interstate 10 and downtown Tucson. Hike from the home into Tucson Mountain Park, or drive 20 minutes to Saguaro National Park. The Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum and Old Tucson Studios are a short 25 minute drive through scenic Gates Pass. This home is only 1 mile away from world class mountain biking for all skill levels. Miles of trails wander thru the beautiful sonoran desert among the majestic saguaro cacti

The casita was a paradise in the desert! Very private but near multi-million dollar homes. Lots of wildlife to see and the views of the area were spectacular. I would highly recommend this property without reservation or qualifications. It would be especially suited for one couple.

The house was located in a very peaceful location, surrounded by saguaros! It had all the amenities we needed, and we were very comfortable. Communication with the host was excellent. It was a short drive to Saguaro National Park, the Sonoran Desert Museum, Gates Pass, and Old Tucson. We enjoyed sunrises, sunsets, and the call of wildlife right outside the door.

Perfect location to get into the Saguaro Desert's cacti and critters. Decks on 3 sides with a variety of seating and with outdoor cooking grills. Inside, everything works, although it took a bit of learning curve to set the thermostat, the HVAC worked great. While the unit shares a driveway with the Owner's main house, we only saw Tracy twice. Solitude in the desert!!

We loved this VRBO!! After a day of sightseeing, it was always so nice to return to this dreamy home away from home. It sits in the hills in a quiet, safe “neighborhood” of beautiful desert homes, acres apart, overlooking Tucson and the mountains beyond. Private and serene, but close to everything. I could rave on about the responsive host, the amazing setting, and how comfortable, clean, and adorable the house is. But truly my recommendation is that you can book this one without hesitation. Maybe pick up some wild bird seed on your way …the Gambel’s quails are waiting to greet you at the back door.

The hideaway is a slice of heaven for desert landscape lovers and those looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The Casita had the perfect amount of space and high ceilings to make it feel larger. While there are other houses around, we still had ample amount of privacy. Every window of the house had an awesome view and let in ample light. The hot tub was a huge plus with the desert weather. We enjoyed it during chilly mornings and evenings.

Great property for a quiet and relaxing visit to Tucson

The property was everything we hoped for--private, quiet, and well appointed. It has outstanding views (making the private hot tub especially attractive) yet is close to Gates Pass, trails and other amenities. Highly recommended!

Great hideaway spot!

This was our second time of staying at this hiden gem. There was wild life right out side of the home and the views are spectacular.

This property has it all- location - wildlife - nature- privacy- excellent host- 10 out of 10 it’s a 15 plus!! We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch to watch the sunrise and evening hot tube for sunsets! Tracy is amazing to work with!! We will be back!!

Beautiful Hideaway

Great quiet location with beautiful natural landscape all around. The house is roomy and immaculate and the owners texted us a few times to be sure we were all settled. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Desert get-away

Wonderful desert get away in an quiet and peaceful area surrounded by beautiful Saguaro cactus. Very much enjoyed the lovely casita, sitting on the three sided covered patio and reading and watching the wildlife. The home had everything we needed and we will be back!

Great Getaway

One of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. From the acres of cactus, desert wildlife and peaceful surroundings with an outdoor hot tub under the stars, this was the perfect home to unwind. Excellent location to explore Tucson and the surrounding area. Host made it all super easy and we’re making recommendations to book this property to our friends.

Jolene and Tracy are both native Tucsonans. Tracy grew up on a small horse ranch in the Tucson Mountains about a mile from the Saguaro Ranch Hideaway. We both love the outdoors especially the Sonoran Desert

Tracy started working construction right out of high school, using the hands on skills and common knowledge he learned as a kid working around the ranch to move up thorough the ranks. In 1996 he started his own contracting and development company. He has an intimate knowledge of Tucson and sounding areas.

Jolene grew up on the eastside of Tucson and is a graduate of the University of Arizona. She loved spending her youth hiking and camping around southern Arizona with her family.

The Tucson Mountains were developed with low density in mind. There are very few properties smaller than 3 acres therefore the traffic is considerably less and the wildlife more abundant due to the low impact.
