Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow.
PATCH BROOK ROAD IS NOT PASSABLE DURING WINTER MONTHS.
IF YOU SEE THAT THE ROAD IS NOT PLOWED DO NOT DRIVE ON IT.

Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. WE HAVE A STAND BY GENERATOR!

Centrally located to Okemo Mountain (8 mins), The Appalachian Trail, Vast Trail, Restaurants & more. High Speed Fiber Optic Internet!

Jackson Gore, located a short drive away boasts many activities for non-skiers or those who need to take a day off. These includes an indoor pool, a gym, a spa, an ice-skating rink, tubing, a year round mountain coaster, and many family activities throughout the year. Check the Okemo website for current pricing and availability of the various activities.

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, you'll delight in the beautiful woodland setting of this cabin at Lake Ninevah, and some of the prettiest foliage you've ever seen.
Vacationers have all that Vermont has to offer close at hand. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, tennis, golf, antique hunting and even Old-Time Locomotive Train rides are all nearby.
There are lots of outdoor activities here, this unspoiled open space such as hiking and kayaking. Beach rights-private sand beach and easy access to the lake, 300 ft. making it great for kids and people of all ages. Explore the lake with our kayaks. Fishing are all to be found on Lake Ninevah, with more than 100 acres of pristine wilderness lake.
Hobbies such as bird watching and photography at any time.

You’ll love our place because of the location, peaceful & quite setting. Perfect for relaxing on the front porch.
The view from the fire tower on Okemo Mountain & Buttermilk Falls, features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. Both are in Ludlow VT.

This is our second winter stay at this property. We had a wonderful time. Top reasons: 1) dog friendly, 2) outdoor space for the dog to run around in the snow, 3) super convenient to Okemo and Killington and a wonderful doggie day care just outside of Ludlow, 4) super cozy, quiet, and very comfortable cabin with a great view and covered parking, 5) very responsive owners, and 6) plenty of room for two people and a dog to spread out and relax before and after a long day of skiing. Would stay here again, for sure.

We needed a cozy, quiet place to get away from it all, and this cabin delivered. It is close to Ludlow (Okemo) for skiing and nightlife, but far enough away to place you in a serene setting. The cabin is clean with all the amenities necessary to explore the outdoors or just kick back and relax. The hosts are accommodating and gave us plenty of information to make the trip better. We couldn't be more satisfied choosing this cabin, and we'll definitely be back for more.

This is the second year we rented this cottage. We feel at home here. There are dirt roads to walk your dog which we liked. Sharon was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed.

The cabin is stunning. We went in the fall and found it so cozy. The two kayaks availble onsite were easily accessible and the lake was gorgeous and only 500 feet away. Lots of games and DVDs to watch as well as a cute little TV and cozy living room. We loved playing cards at the kitchen table.Sharon was also the best host we could’ve asked for. The doors auto-lock and we got stuck outside (entirely our fault), and she was extremely communicative and came quickly to let us back in. I couldn’t recommend a better, cozier cabin experience!

Quiet oasis

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. It is on a dirt road, and there were many walks from the cabin. The view from the porch as we ate was breathtaking, with all the leaves changing. Would stay again.

Great little cabin just outside of Ludlow. Paul and Sharon were excellent hosts - very attentive and responsive to our needs. Its a great little cabin right across the street from Lake Ninevah. Great for a winter getaway.

Very relaxing getaway.

The cabin was very peaceful and super clean, didn’t expect it to be sooo immaculate! Sharon was extremely helpful and responsive to questions and suggestions on what could be done in the area for the kids and our dog, we all had a wonderful stay and hated to leave!

Wonderful Cabin

Had a very nice few days at this cabin. Host was excellent with communicating and giving us suggestions of restaurants and places to visit. Clean and had everything we needed for us and our 2 pups. Loved how quiet the area is and the view of the lake was beautiful especially at sunrise.

Peaceful getaway

Great location right across from the lake and close to a variety of hiking trails. Cabin was very clean and comfortable for 3 adults and 1 dog. Very well-equipped kitchen made cooking meals convenient.

Great ski weekend

Wonderful! I cannot say enough how wonderful the hosts were! My family felt so welcomed and enjoyed our long weekend of skiing at Okemo. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a cabin experience!

Great cabin! Very clean.

We had a great time. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, etc. The view from the front porch and dining room was amazing. Sharon was very helpful when we were looking for restaurants in the area. Our two dogs loved taking walks in the area. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Family, Dog and I loved walking through the beautiful wooded area around the lake and checkin out the ice fisherman on the lake. Only saw one other person each time walking west of cabin.

Wonderful Long Weekend

Owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. They even came over -- on very short notice -- to let us in after we had locked ourselves out of the cabin. Overall....a very enjoyable weekend.

Stay in Okemo for Presidents day weekend.

Cabin is amazing, very cozy and friendly. Sharon is fantastic owner and caring owner. You will find in the house everything you need for your stay including sharp knives what is very rare in renting houses :). We and our 4 leg baby enjoyed staying in the cabin.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful week at the cabin... it was extremely clean, and well equipped. It's a fairly remote location (the last couple of miles is on an unpaved road) but not isolated; there are several houses in the area. We enjoyed viewing the lake and listening to the loons from the front porch. There's no A/C, but it wasn't needed for our week in mid July. The owners are great, and very accommodating. Hope to stay again soon!

Which is why Lake Ninevah is special to us.
