Ellen and Curtis are friendly, gracious hosts who were welcoming to both us and our 2 hyperactive dogs. The apartment was clean, cozy and a good balance of both private and communal (the apartment is a renovated unit in a "barn" on their property and bumping into Ellen from time to time was nice as she gave us great ideas for things to check out in the area and checked in about how the partner was). Also provided was a smart TV with access to Hulu and Disney and also there was plenty of tea and coffee and banana bread! The property is large with plenty of space for dogs to run around. Would stay here again for sure

We loved our stay at “VT Retreat” The property was perfect for our weekend away, quiet, quaint yet near everything you could want. Ellen & Curtis were wonderful hosts - we will be back for sure!

Really great hosts! Very welcoming and responsive. Had some nice treats for us and our dog when we arrived. Loved all the dog decor as well. It felt like a home away from home. Our dog loved the back yard. We even saw a few turkeys on the property.

Everything was perfect. There was a loaf of sweet bread for me and treats for Samson. Very pet friendly. Super nice people and a beautiful location.

Our stay was wonderful! The photos really don’t do this VRBO justice. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything was very clean and new. The location is unbeatable for skiing at Killington. Ellen was extremely communicative and kind. She generously left us some local treats for us to enjoy. Only thing to note: if you’re coming in the winter take the AWD/4WD warning seriously. The whole experience was lovely and we’d love to come back again!

Perfectly located for attending a wedding in Woodstock. Surroundings are beautiful. Apartment was quiet & had everything we needed (including coffee, juice, and breakfast bread provided by the hosts.)

Great place

Really quiet location - nice refuge for a few days to escape the noise from the rest of the world. Great place to see nature up close!! Hope that I can make it back again with my husband next time - perfect size for two people, and I think it dog will love it

The Vermont Retreat is a darling place to stay. My son, daughter-in-law really loved the attention to detail and extra welcoming bread and condiments provided. They appreciated the pet friendly retreat and enjoyed their host’s being so helpful with suggestions of the many things to do in the area. The location is lovely and quiet and great restaurants are nearby. They hope to return there soon- thanks

Perfect place to stay!

Great place to stay. Very clean and perfect place for my son and dog. Hosts were very friendly and perfect hosts. Delicious banana bread was waiting for us upon arrival and treats for our dog too! This is the perfect place to stay if you are skiing at Killington / Pico.

Quiet night in VT

Lovely banana bread greeted me when I arrived and there was fresh milk and orange juice as well. A bit off the beaten track, but a lovely one bedroom apartment just right for a weekend in Vermont.

Peaceful and convenient

This place was the perfect getaway! The property had everything we were looking for - quiet, peaceful, and close to activities. It looks exactly as pictured. The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and sweet!

I absolutely loved my stay at this property. The accommodation is an apartment in a converted barn. It's a beautiful quiet location a short drive from Woodstock. The hosts were fantastic and gave me some great suggestions of places to visit, they also left wonderful muffins for my arrival. I would definitely stay here again.

We are retired Vermonters who enjoy a great quality of life here in Vermont. We also enjoy meeting new people. Having grown up in the area, we know our part of the world quite well and we enjoy sharing these gems with our quests.

Our property is a wooded 10 acres on a back road, our neighbors have been the same neighbors for the last 50+ years. I guess we are all pretty happy here. It is quiet with lots of wildlife, pristine water, with a beautiful brook for most of the year. You can see the stars at night because we do not have light pollution.
