The cabin was great. Lots of games for the kids and the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s bigger than it appears. Overall it was simple but very nice, perfect for a quick getaway with friends.

Family Vacation 2024

Our family travelled from Florida and Kentucky and this location was perfect. The game room on property was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the pool, pontoon rental, put put golf at Rambling Bald. The drive for a day of hiking at Chimney Rock State Park was short and scenic.

Lazy Bear Lodge is beautiful. If you like cabins you will love this home. Tons of room to spread out and great outdoor spaces. My only complaint is that the pictures have not been updated and we didn't know there was a BABY GRAND PIANO!! Where else are you going to find a vacation home with that?! My daughter is learning to play and had we known we would have brought her music. It was a very nice surprise.

This was a beautiful property. The pictures do not do it justice. Maintenance is even great. My 8 year old got locked in the game room bathroom. The lock was stuck. He walked me thru ways to get the door open. The amenities are also wonderful. We loved the pool and the restaurants on site. The beach area is also very nice. Our kids absolutely loved our stay. We would definitely stay again.

Loose moose lodge was great

It was excellent beautiful views of the lake, plenty of room to spread out. Road to house is steep and sharp curves, but it’s the mountains so we expected it. Will stay again soon.

Majestic Mountain Getaway

The home offers plenty of amenities and is well stocked and maintained. The location is close to the resort amenities and the driveway is perfectly flat for easy unloading. The only thing I would recommend is having one or two more TV’s. A downstairs wall mounted tv in the basement game room would be a good location and perhaps the master-bedroom.

Amazing place that we will return too

My only complaints are that when I walked in the front door first arriving, the cleaning crew left 3 full bags of trash on the floor at the door. Second, the stairs are very slippery. Some grip tape is recommended for future tenants. Third, the giant drainage hole pulling into the awkward angled driveway is a huge unmarked crater that will surely and almost did cause damage to my vehicle. A grate, warning sign or cone is highly recommended. Maybe mention that is is best to pull past the driveway and back in. All else, wonderful, roomy and pleasant place to stay with a very inviting feel. Thank you

Lazy Bear Lodge stay

It was a spacious and clean property. The mild/mildew was very high in the first level of the home . That floor was unusable for us!! The WiFi was non-existent most days. There were minimal consumables. I.e paper towel, toilet paper, soap. They had lots of hand sanitizer.

Beautiful location

The property had all the space we needed for the four members of our family. The basement smells badly of mildew and some of the lights did not work. Other than that, it was the perfect place to spend our vacation.

Great family time!

Location was great with lots to do. House was nice. Had a couple of issues that management took care of Promptly. One thing missing was a big skillet and big pot for pasta. We had 7 in our group and nothing big enough to cook in. WiFi was not reliable. Had trouble streaming Netflix etc off and on. All in all memories were made!

Great retreat

This cabin is a great place to say in Lake Lure. The only issue we had was the doors didn’t latch on the bedrooms besides the master.
