Wonderful/Perfect/Sad to leave

I’d give 10 stars if I could! We had the most wonderful two week stay here. It is a beautiful house in a perfect location. The house had everything we needed and has plenty of space for human guests and for our dogs, they loved it just as much as we did. The area is outstanding, quiet and peaceful with beautiful empty beaches within walking distance or a short drive from the house. On our first day, we saw a pod of dolphins that put on a spectacular display for us 🐬 Belmullet is a lovely wee town with exceptional restaurants and cafes, delicious food & staff who couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. The local people are really friendly, stopping to pass the time of day and making time for each other, something that is a thing of the past in other places I have visited. Such a special place and very heartwarming. Our host Yvonne was excellent with her communications and if she could help in any way, she would. Checking in was easy and there was a very thoughtful welcome gift on our arrival. Yvonne allowed us to fix some wire to the gate so our dogs would be kept safe. We really appreciated being able to do that 🐾 We were so very lucky with beautiful sunny weather for most of our stay, so we have come home feeling totally refreshed and the five hour drive was well worth it. If I had one recommendation, it would be for the caretakers of this beautiful house to ‘up their game’ by way of cleaning (hence only giving 4* for cleanliness) and presentation. Thank you Yvonne.

I had an incredible stay at this wonderful property! The location was absolutely perfect, nestled in a serene and picturesque area while still being conveniently close to local amenities Communication with the owner was top-notch. From the moment I booked, they were responsive and attentive, providing detailed instructions and answering all my questions promptly. Their hospitality truly enhanced my experience, making me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility, with the added bonus of a fantastic host who goes above and beyond!

This property needs some love. We coped with the cooker not working but the skip turning up was a bit much! Bedding not ironed. Windows need cleaning. Everything looks like our booking was a surprise to Vrbo !

Relaxing days on the Mullet peninsula

As always in life... if the kids are alright, everything is alright!! Everybody has enjoyed the stay in this property, in walking distance to the most beautiful beach, that we have ever experienced in Ireland, so much. It is spacious and well equiped. As we had looked for a week rest from all the hustle and bustle, we found the perfect place. We are already making plans for coming back... and not just because the kids are insisting 😉.

This is a great house in a magical location. Wonderful beaches, panoramic views wherever you look, peace and quiet. A comfortable base from which to explore this unspoilt corner of Ireland. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely relaxing holiday by the sea

We had a lovely week in Aughleam. We were a group of 3 adults and 4 kids ranging from 3-11. The 3 older kids attended the local surf camp for the week (1 minute on the bike door to beach!) which they thoroughly enjoyed rain or sun. There are some amazing beaches to be enjoyed so close to the house. And everything we needed to enjoy our week was available to us. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Kids and adults had a fabulous time!

Hidden gem

We really enjoyed our two week stay in this property. It hits the mark on every point....near the beach, great loop walk, fantastic views ... we managed to get some great weather. Yvonne was available if we needed anything (not that we did) and the welcome was on the money after a long drive. A couple of things to note Glosh is remote, the weather can be changeable.....

Peace and quiet

Our second time here, like last time very happy with the house and the communication with Yvonne, all questions were answered promptly. 5 minutes to the beach, with surf school/rentals. Thanks for having us.

Beach house

We had a wonderful stay at the beach house. A rural location, very peaceful and relaxing! Beach was near by and many other beaches to find along the way. The house was great for our family of 4, leaving lots of room for us all to relax! More bedrooms there if needed! Having the washing machine there was great. Netflix and the broadband helped when the weather wasn't great! Yvonne left a welcome present, which really did make us feel welcome! House had everything we needed and more! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home

The house was amazing, Yvonne even supplied hair dryer, dish washer tablets, washing tablets and everything else you needed to make our stay just perfect. We walked to the beach went swimming in the sea and spent time entertaining our family from the area in the house. We were a family of 4 grown up adult children with our daughters partner and their 10 week old twins and still had plenty of room for us all. We enjoyed lighting the wood burner in the evening although the house has underfloor heating and was so warm. Yvonne left 2 bottles of wine for us and our holiday was perfect. We definitely would recommend and stay again. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now. Thank you so much.

We have stayed in a number of properties along the Wild Atlantic Way over the years & this one is by far the best. Very homely and comfortable, we were sad to leave.

Lovely bright house near to beautiful Blacksod Lighthouse and Falmor beach with views of Inishkea

Lovely spot ideal to explore the beautiful Falmor beach with views to Achill and Inishkea from the door you can walk to Blacksod lighthouse. Light and airy property, great TV and wi-fi despite remote location. Belmullet is a short drive and has lots of amenities including an outdoor tidal pool and the Talbot pub is great for food and drinks, Yvonne the host was really friendly and helpful with any queries,

Beach house

We had a great holiday at the beach house. We were a party of 8 adults one child ,and two dogs and there was plenty of room for all. Being so close to the beach was fantastic. The house was perfect for a beach holiday it had everything we needed and more. Yvonne, the host ,was helpful when needed but not intrusive. Thanks for everything Yvonne Mari

Brilliant getaway!

We had a fantastic holiday. The house was beautiful and very well equipped. It provided plenty of safe indoor and outdoor space for our son with special needs, meaning we could all relax! Being a few minutes walk from a super beach was also a huge bonus. We would recommend a trip to Inishkea with Belmullet boat charters. Inishkea is stunningly beautiful and has a compelling history. As a host, Yvonne was very unintrusive, yet at the same time easily contacted to answer any queries. Couldn't recommend the house or the destination highly enough. Many thanks Yvonne!

Heaven on Earth 💛

Idyllic! This magical home will reboot your soul,literally minutes away on foot from Glosh beach which we called “our private beach”.Great surfing lessons from Declan in Tonn Nua. Carne golf club up the road which is an amazing links course with epic views. Yvonne’s house has every mod con & is truly a spectacular modern home,The best being sunsets from sitting outside or inside the sitting room-literally breathtaking. The Beach House-Aesthetically beautiful inside & out with cozy throws to fluffy hot water bottles which were the envy of all outdoor diners in Belmullet. (BTW-The Talbot does the BEST seafood chowder) Needless to say we will return again with the teens who said it was the greatest time EVER,Netflix access was a huge bonus post sunset with the fab wood burning stove that made it feel so incredibly cozy. Thank you for the welcome pack Yvonne & we hope to be back in your Beach House some day soon. Pros-walking distance to beach. Outstanding 5 bedroom modern house. Every facility available. Cozy & homely. Clean & fresh. Cons-zero

Beauty in Belmullet

We had a wonderful stay in Yvonne's. The house is located 20mins outside Belmullet. Lovely quiet location and yet did not feel isolated. The house was clean spacious and tastefully decorated and had everything you would want in a home from home. So much to see and do even in the middle of a Pandemic. Thank you

Summer getaway

Rented this property in mid September was the best thing I did on my holiday during pandemic. You won’t realise you are still in Ireland. Easy communication with the owner and place is not hard to find though it’s our very first time in this place. With the Indian summer heat, we were so lucky. Cycling around, up and down the hill and watching the sunset, it’s really was heaven. Taking a deep in the nearby bay was glorious and therapeutic. Missing the place already. I will definitely go back there.

Beach House

We had a great time in Glosh. The house is very well equipped and located right beside the beach. Its a 2 minute walk. The house is spacious and has all mod cons including very good internet access.

Beautiful Beach House

From the get go the communication with Yvonne was quick and easy. We arrived to a nice welcome package. The house was bright, really comfortable and there was plenty of space. The colours and little extra touches really added to the beach house experience. We were five minutes walk to the beautiful local beach where our two doggies were able to run around freely. We got a bit of surfing in & were even able to take a yoga class one stunning evening on the white sands. We had plenty of long walks around the peninsula and the views were absolutely beautiful. And the sunsets- omg the sunsets! We loved Molly the donkey who came to stay mid way through. Even the doggies bonded with her! The local village is less than 1km away. There’s a pub and take away but was closed during our visit. Nearest supermarket is a short drive to Belmullet. The beach house was a great place to switch off and unwind. A truly tranquil experience & we all want to go back as soon as we can!

I am a wife and mother of 5 children ranging from 35 down to 16! I enjoy gardening, reading, entertaining and travelling. We moved to Ireland from London nearly 20 years ago and just love Irish Life in the countryside. We live 2 hours away from Belmullet and love to visit as often as possible.

We bought a site and built our beautiful beach house because my husband is a Architect and loves designing and building houses. We love the area because it is so tranquil and therapeutic with the sea on all sides ! The people are so friendly in this part of Mayo and the weather like the landscape is so dramatic. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and great storms !!

Walking on the beach. Swimming in the clean sea. Picnics and Barbeques. Going on a boat trip to one of the islands. Walking uo to the friendly local pub. Sitting by the log burning stove or open fire in the evenings, with a glass of wine and a good book. Looking out at the sea, feeling the warmth of the underfloor heating on cooler mornings. Star gazing in the evenings.
