Located at 777 King Beach Drive, Howard Oh 43028, the main level Bedroom #1 and #2 both have queen beds. On the left lower level bedroom #3 has 2 twin beds and Bedroom #4 has 2 bunk beds (sleeps 4). 2 bathrooms (lower lever shower only, main level has showerhead and tub), non coin op washer and dryer on site. Kitchen with stainless electric appliances, griddle, waffle iron, crock pot, gas grill on deck. Decorative fireplace, outside fire pit/patio, wooded lot. Check in 4pm and later, check out 10am. Close to Kenyon, Amish country, Honey Run Falls, Mohican State Park, Ariel Foundation Park, Kokosing bike path and so much more. This home is located 7 miles from Kenyon College, and 10 miles from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. It is only 18 miles from Mohican State Park and Loudonville. It is in the heart of Amish country (approximately a 40 minute drive to Charm and Berlin, in Holmes County), and close to a wonderful golf course, Apple Valley Golf Course. GOLFADVISOR.COM rated Apple Valley Golf Course as the number 4 rated Golf Course in Ohio! Sadly, Apple Valley facilities (Lake, Beaches, Pools, and Campground) are only to be used by Apple Valley Property Owners. Non-Owners will not be permitted to use the facilities provided for permanent residents of Apple Valley. The launching of any watercraft for non-property owners is prohibited as well.

Stay for Graduation in May

House is clean, comfortable, and in a nice location. We had a nice time, and it served as a good location for family for a college graduation weekend.

Beautiful Peaceful Lake House

The house was exactly as advertised and the property was beautiful. Walkability to the private beach was perfect. The Lake Home allotment surrounding properties were lovely. So much to do we stuffed a lot in to a four night stay

Beautiful lake house

We had a relaxing, outstanding long weekend during our stay! The beach is a short walk away. We played volleyball and swam in the lake. Even though the lake is close, the house is nestled in the woods and you feel removed from busy-ness! Highly recommend.

Great place to stay

This rental was excellent for a group of friends to get together for a relaxing weekend away. Lots of space and things to do. Only complaint we have is the cleanliness and organization of items in the house. There were dirty dishes in the sink and the dishwasher when we arrived and the grill needed a good cleaning. Other than that, the house was a great place to stay for a bigger group. Would definitely stay again.

Home away from home

We enjoyed our stay very much! We especially appreciated the “extras” that we didn’t have to worry about bringing , like kitchen tools, gadgets, and condiments in the fridge and the “extra” pillows and blankets in all the bedrooms. The home was very clean and well taken care of and communication with the owner was very organized and timely. Also, they were flexible with our check in/out schedule . We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!

Another wonderful visit!

This was our second visit to this lovely home. It has been the perfect location during our Family Weekend visits to Kenyon College. The house is well-appointed and the large couch in the living room is great for hanging out. The home is large with plenty of space to spread out. The home is surrounded by trees which are beautiful during the fall. We love watching the little chipmunks racing around on the deck! Rhonda is a wonderful host and extremely responsive to any questions or needs during your stay.

Cannot say enough good about our stay here! So much to do, we were never bored. It was clean, spacious and just overall a super nice place with a great view and a cozy fire pit. Hoping to come back again in the near future

Fun weekend away

Plenty of space for us to be, beautiful views, and Rhonda was easy to work with. We stayed for a long weekend to get together with family for an early Christmas.

Great getaway spot

We loved our stay! A beautiful house, comfortable lodgings. Do note that even though the listing says the house sleeps 14, there are only beds for 10 (as detailed later in the listing). The host let us know there was a queen air mattress available, but two of us just ended up sleeping on couches (which were still comfortable). The pool table and TVs were great. The kitchen has everything we needed.

Beautiful Home

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was the perfect place to gather with family from across the country. The couches and chairs are so comfy! The home is in such a beautiful community and the beautiful fall weather just added to the beauty. We loved watching the chipmunks dart across the deck gathering their winter supply of nuts. We were so grateful for your flexibility with our check-out time. It was so nice to be able to linger in your home instead of an uncomfortable airport waiting area. Thank you! We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful and spacious home surrounded by nature.

Enjoyed our stay in this quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature. Huge grate room and kitchen was perfect to spread out, cook, read play games, etc.

Super Clean and Spacious

Great place to stay for my brothers and I attending the 2nd Killbuck Jeep Jamboree. Ideal location only 15 minutes from the event and 15 minutes to shopping and restaurants. Host was super responsive and the place was wonderful.

Schroeder Family Reunion Trip

Family reunion in the area. Cousins own a house nearby and hosted. Perfect space for my immediate family. Daughter and husband with sons 10 and 6. Son and wife with daughter age one and my husband and myself. Big house separate spaces and large open dining, kitchen and great room. Downstairs game room. We had a great time. Lake is nearby and awesome.

Perfect spot!

We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely come back! We had expected a fifth person, but as it worked out, it was just two couples sharing the space. One used one of the upstairs bedroom and bath, the other used the other upstairs bedroom, and the downstairs bath. We did not get to use the deck or firepit, but they both look great!

Anfitrión: Rhonda Watt

Fulltime RN, married, mother of 2 awesome and active boys. Hubby is retired National Guardsman and currently works for the State of Ohio in Corrections. The boys keep us busy with hockey, lacrosse and theater. We haven't been able to use the cottage as much as we would like because of schedules but plan on moving from Westerville to Apple Valley once the youngest graduates from high school.

The property was purchased with military reenlistment bonus earned while husband was serving in Iraq. Scrimped and saved until we had enough that my brother could build this family cottage. We have hosted many friends and family members. Current schedules keep us away more than we would like but we feel like as soon as the high school junior graduates we will move to Apple Valley from nearby Westerville.
